THIS GUEST HOUSE IS BRAND NEW WITH ONE WITH QUEEN AND ONE ROOM WITH FULL SIZE STANDARD BED , AND MUST BE OVER 12 AND UNDER 60]. R IT OVER LOOKS HOGBACK MOUNTAIN AND HAS 30 FT HIGH CEILINGS WITH MANY WINDOWS. FULL KITCHEN WITH DISHWASHER AND A WASHER/DRYER W/IRONING BOARD. FURNITURE IS SUPER COMFY . LARGE FANS AS WELL AS A/C [WHICH IS RARELY NEEDED] TV FOR VIDEO MOVIES AND INTERNET. NO REGULAR TELEVISION. RENTAL IS NOT FOR PEOPLE COMING TO THIS AREA TO WORK

The property is impeccable and very well appointed. The neighborhood is the most quiet I've ever experienced. It was the perfect base for exploring waterfalls and beautiful hiking trails all within ten miles. We could have stayed much longer. An eastern screech owl serenaded us for a few minutes each twilight. There were a few black bears in the area but they kept to themselves. They certainly didn't stop us from enjoying the patio. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Everything was clean and just as described in the listing. Sandi was the perfect host!

The property was perfect - close to so many wonderful hikes and tubing. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessities. Sandi was a great host; available to answer all of our questions.

Perfect for our needs!

You couldn't ask for a better rental opportunity, especially in the Sapphire/Lake Toxaway area where there are so few options. This guest house is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and the homeowner, Sandra could not have been more helpful. Be aware that there are no fast food restaurants and very few other types of restaurants in the area, and COVID has made open restaurants even more scarce. (You must travel 30 minutes to Brevard, 15 minutes to Cashiers or 30 minutes to Highlands to find more restaurant options.) That makes the full kitchen in this rental even more appealing! Also be aware, the only grocery store for miles is a General Dollar; if you want a true grocery store, you have to travel to an Ingles in Cashiers which has the highest prices I have seen in a grocery anywhere. We solved this problem by shopping at home and taking everything we needed for our meals with us. If you are traveling to the Sapphire/Lake Toxaway area, you could not find a nicer rental! We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay!

We just stopped in for a weekend getaway. Sandi was great and friendly.

The apartment was quiet and clean and had everything we needed. It’s close by to restaurants and activities in cashiers. A perfect getaway! We will definitely stay again.

A wonderful respite!!

A cozy new cottage in the mountains. Sandra has stocked the kitchen with anything you might need to cook a good meal. All the amenities of the cottage are lovely. Location is beautiful. Being beyond our hiking days, the only downside for us was the lack of cable TV, as we are sport enthusiasts. We had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Good “Home base”

It is located in an area that is easy to get onto roads that take you to scenic areas. We were primarily interested in hiking and it was a perfect location. Clean and quiet.

Great Getaway

Beautiful place to stay and Sandra was a wonderful host. This is the perfect place to stay if you want a quiet getaway that is close enough to dining and activities. The property was clean and everything we could have wanted was available, right down to a great welcome basket.

Great place to rent!

We had a wonderful time. The owner was great to communicate with. If we needed something, they were right there with it. Great location. And the owner gave us a bunch of tips about the local area! That's a major plus! Helped out navigating. Gave is some other places to sightsee! Thank you very much!

Mountain Gem

This was a rare find in Sapphire. It is located in the "Land of the Waterfalls" and is perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway. My husband and I enjoyed several waterfall hikes as well as an afternoon in downtown Highlands. Sandra is a gracious host and has put a lot of thought and care into her accommodations.

Tree house view.

Nice clean and new guest house above owner's garage, a true "carriage house" experience with the high vaulted ceiling. Sitting in the living room and looking out the one wall of windows was like being in a tree house. It was great for the two of us but the small second bedroom contained bunk beds perfect for a couple of children or teens. The wonderful breezes kept us comfortable but there was also AC when needed. Our host, Sandra, met us shortly after our arrival to welcome us and let us know how to get in touch if needed. A great place to spend a few days while house hunting.
