One of our very favourite places

We absolutely love staying at Skillen Farm. It's beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. The location is great for us,and we always leave wishing we had more time just to hang out at the house. Can't wait to return.

Beautiful property

Wonderful time staying at this property while our soon played baseball at Dream Park which was only 20 min away. Property was beautiful, hosts were helpful and easy to work with. They made the check in and check out process a breeze. Would definitely stay again

Cooperstown Retreat

We stayed in this lovely home during our sons Cooperstown Deam Tournament experience. It is 20 mins from the park, and very rural. I had a great time playing wiffle ball in the yard, and going on long tree covered, very hilly, runs. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed very much! Them owner has done a wonderful job restoring the house and the extra little touches (working outdoor grill, linens provided, etc) really made a difference. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Hall of Fame Family visit

Immaculately kept, beautiful surroundings, would recommend this home to anyone. The location was wonderful and extremely convenient to the Hall of Fame. Chris was very nice to deal with.

Little piece of heaven near the opera

This was our second stay at Skillen Farm and we've already booked for next year. Stunning views, very peaceful, well located for our excursions. The gardens are lovely and the home is well appointed. It works very well for our annual trek to The Glimmerglass Festival.

Skillen Farm

The pictures did not do this property justice. Well appointed and clean. Lots of outside property for recreation. If you like being in a historic rural setting, this is the place for you.

little piece of heaven near the opera

Skillen Farm is the perfect getaway for us. It's close to the Glimmerglass Festival, which is why we come to the area every year, in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The house is extremely comfortable, with many different spaces for guests to spend time together, or find some alone time: a large deck, patio space, front porch, screened in porch and lots of green space to enjoy. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the kitchen is well appointed and easy to work in. We love being there, always wish we could stay longer, and are already looking forward to next year!

A perfect stay near Cooperstown

We had a great stay at this wonderful home right near Cooperstown. A very pleasant 12 minute drive into town . Far enough away to have peace and quiet and close enough to conveniently see everything the town has to offer . Very peaceful surroundings inside and outside of the property, and we especially loved the living room and the deck, both which had such a beautiful view for sunsets every night. Very clean and well appointed home, we can’t say enough nice things about this vacation home. Terrific communication with the owner, Chris throughout. Certainly the next time we plan a visit to Cooperstown we would stay here again!

Great Place - Easy drive to Cooperstown

My family and I had a wonderful stay while our son was playing baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The house is about 20 minutes from the Park and about 10-15 minutes from Cooperstown. It was a great location for us. Chris was an amazing host. The place was very clean and inviting. We even initially had some issues when the wifi was not working (it was knocked out from some powerful storms the night before we arrived) and Chris was very quick to get it fixed. I would highly receommend and we would definitely stay again.

Heaven in the country

The description of the property doesn't do it justice. I am always surprised when I choose a VRBO and arrive to see how it fits the description perfectly. This property far exceeds. It is a few miles outside Cooperstown but worth the short drive for the quiet of it's surroundings. We experienced wildlife viewing, early morning dewy sunrises and lots of relaxation. It felt more like home than a vacation rental. Christopher was a superb host. We will visit this property again.

Nice, Quiet Spot

Great week at this property while son played at Dreams Park. Just under 20 mins to facility made this beautiful, quiet house perfect for our stay. Other than upstairs bathroom being a little tough on a tall guy this place has it all. Thank you Chris.

Loved everything about it!

We were SO happy with this home. It was very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked with (paper) supplies & linens. Chris, the owner was great to work with & answered any questions quickly. He gave good restaurant recommendations. The property location was good and convenient to downtown Cooperstown. It was so serene and quiet there with beautiful views. A pretty patio with a large deck as well. We really enjoyed our time at this home. I would highly recommend staying there and would return again.

Excellent!

This is a wonderful property in a beautiful, rural setting , easily accessible to Cooperstown and Sharon Springs. We loved returning to the tranquility each day after sightseeing in the area. The property was immaculate, the indoor and outdoor seating areas were perfect for the 5 of us. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, glasses, utensils, there were lovely dishes in the dining room, items We have never seen before in a rental. The linens, beds, bathrooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The 360 views are spectacular. The host was very responsive and nice to work with. This is a gem!

Great Weekend

The place was exactly as described in photos and write up. Cooperstown is a short drive away with everything you need. We drove to Howe Caverns one day which was amazing! Lots of land for the kids to run around on and great outdoor seating.

better than expected

Beautiful little house on a large, property with amazing views. Fully outfitted place. Lots of different places to sit both inside and out. Easy communication with the host and BEST of all, the family's favorite pastime- croquet.
