We had a lovely stay. The property was very comfortable and as described. We were in a good location for the town centre and a short walk to the medieval city. It was a pleasure to visit. You may need to bring insect repellant as there were lots of mosquitos when we were here.

A beatiful home with a tree filled garden. It worked very well for my wife and I and was excellent when my daughter and her family stayed with us. It was a joy to watch the autumn changes in the trees. The house was warm, comfortable and very well equipped.The host welcomed us on arrival and was very helpful and easy to contact. We would love to stay again.

Another excellent return visit

What can we say...the property is excellent, tastefully furnished and comfortable (air-conditioning is a big plus!). The location is ideal. The city has easy access as as does the castle. The host (Sylvie) makes it a wonderful, friendly and overall excellent experience. Bravo!! We will see you again.

Fabulous property perfectly located beside the river and old city.

A very clean property with a lovely private garden. Perfectly located within a short walk to the old city, castle and river. Make sure to check out the market on Saturday mornings just outside the old city walls.

Great stay with lovely host

We cannot say enough about Sylvie (the host) and this excellent property. We have had the best time and Sylvie was the excellent host. Highly recommended...and we loved pets corner !!

We had a great stay, the property was perfect cool and comfortable and having a garden to relax in after a day exploring was wonderful. It is in a perfect location for visiting the Cite and the Bastide and an easy walk to both. Sylvie was a perfect host and very helpful. We would love to stay again.

Beautiful house, excellent location for all activities

This spacious and comfortable house is perfectly located to visit both the commercial town and the Medieval city, as well as the River Aude. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and your host is gracious and attentive. The terrace with its large table is a perfect spot to relax with friends. I stayed at Le Jardin de Pierrette for a month, and could have happily stayed longer.

Perfect villa for us

We wanted somewhere we could walk to Carcassonne town as well as the medieval citie and not have ro worry about driving. This was the perfect location and so was the villa. We loved it. The hosts Silvie and Luc were always on hand if we needed them and could not have been more helpful

Lovely

Sylvie was very helpful and her communication with us was brilliant. The house is in a great location. It's a 15 minute walk to the old town and 5 minutes to the new town. Very close to the beautiful river too. The house was very comfortable and had all we needed for our stay.

Excellent break

Great location, walking distance to the best bits of Carcassonne. Host was lovely, helpful and welcoming. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Garden perfect for a bit of sunbathing. Footpath alongside nearby river provides good walking/running loop. There is also a nice lake about 20mins away with beach.

Family holiday in Carcassonne

I had a lovely family holiday in Carcassone staying in this lovely house. The hosts were very accomodating and let us access the property early. Communication was very good throughout our stay. The house was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. I would not hesitate to stay again if returning to Carcassone. Damian

Restful Respite in Carcassonne

We loved this home! It was in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely garden. Conveniently located to all Carcassonne sites. Sylvie was a wonderful host and very helpful with recommendations. We will be back, hopefully when the apricot trees have ripe fruit! Merci beaucoup Sylvie!

Absolutely fantastic in every way

You enter through a lush garden, the house decor is art deco, spacious dining/living room, plenty of plates, bowls, glasses, etc… The host, Sylvie, lives in the adjacent property, but everything remains very private. Silvia is a wonderful host, patiently shared info about local sites, grocery shopping, restaurants. It is an easy 10 minute walk to grocery , restaurants, and other shopping. We stayed a week, but could have easily done a longer stay. Highly recommended for up to 6 people.

A wonderful week in Carcassonne

We had the most wonderful stay in this lovely property. The house was very comfortable and clean. Sylvie was an excellent host and gave us many recommendations for places to eat and visit in the town. The location of the property was perfect for us - it was quiet but only a 10 minute walk each way to the old town and to the medieval city. It was close to the river where there is a nice walkway along the river bank where the new leisure centre can be found. We would certainly return to this property if we come back to Carcassonne.

Family Reunion in Carcassonne

Our stay was perfect. We had a beautiful and stylish home for a week with everything we needed, beautiful bedrooms with views and balconies. The outside space was delightful with areas to sit and eat, watch the bees and birds and Monsiour Touche the resident tortoise. It has a very private position through a gate and up steps to the house and garden, we felt very safe. We could walk to the town and restaurants the main square and train station and also the old town. Sylvie is a great host and her communications were excellent. We would recommend a stay in her beautiful house.

Beautiful house and garden

A wonderful stay and Sylvie is the perfect host. She was able to be flexible with our booking dates (even in August) and communicated well throughout our stay giving local recommendations for places to see and visit which were all excellent. A great sense of humour too which we all enjoyed! The house is beautifully presented, featuring original artwork and a lovely garden providing shade under trees and a balcony with views of the medieval city. Would thoroughly recommend for up to 6 adults. Thank you Sylvie for a great stay. We would love to stay again!

Perfect location

Sylvie was incredibly helpful and gave lots of suggestions for things we could do whilst staying in Carcassonne. The property is immaculate and beautifully styled. If you are just visiting Carcassonne don’t bother hiring a car, as a taxi from the airport is easy and everything is within walking distance. The old city and the new city have lots of wonderful things to see and do. We thoroughly recommend spending some time relaxing by the river, it’s only knee depth and perfect for cooling down. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

English in France

The property is clean and comfortable. There are interesting pieces of artworks in the house. The owner welcomed us with a bottle of wine in the fridge and a vase of fresh flowers in the living room. It is located within walking distance of both parts of the town. We enjoyed seeing the cats and watching the tortoise come ‘charging ‘ towards us. A very enjoyable holiday in a delightful house.

Lovely Property in Perfect Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sylvie’s house. It was pretty hot when we were there and it was lovely to return to a cool sanctuary after a day of exploring the area. Comfortable bed, a great shower, super effective air-conditioning, great wifi connection. Well equipped kitchen and we were able to host two friends visiting from Toulouse comfortably. The area is lovely and quiet but is only a 5-7min walk to the centre of Carcassonne and a pleasant 20min walk to the old City of Carcassonne. We had a nice meal at Brasserie 4 Temps and an interesting experience at Cathars Restaurant (meat cooked over an open fire) but our favourite was Cafe de la Comedie, friendly, relaxing service, great food and reasonably priced too - it also has a vegan menu which was great for our our friends. We would definitely return.

Beautiful house in an excellent location

We spent a week staying in this house in June 2022. It is an absolutely beautiful property - a lovely house, immaculately clean, furnished and decorated with exquisite taste, and very comfortable in every respect. We were there during a heat wave and it was wonderful to come home after exploring Carcassonne and surrounds, to a cool house with marble floors and air conditioning. There is also a very pretty garden and shady outdoor dining area to relax in. The property is perfectly located near the Aude river, and just a short walk from the main town centre (the Bastide), the Canal du Midi, the train station, and the medieval walled city. At the same time, it is very quiet and safe. Sylvie, the host, is absolutely lovely and was the perfect host in every way. All in all, an absolutely brilliant house - we loved staying here and very much recommend it to others.
