〰️ Slanted House sits in a true urban setting. The area is diverse and full of life, from neighborhood regulars to visitors passing through. If you enjoy the energy of a real city, you’ll feel right at home.

〰️ All of our homes are part of two-family properties, which means you’ll have neighbors next door or above/below. We ask guests to be considerate by keeping voices and music down after 11 PM, especially when outdoors. Think of it as helping everyone enjoy a comfortable and restful stay.

〰️ No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed on the property at any time, even if they are not staying overnight. For safety, city licensing, and compliance, everyone must be included in the reservation.

〰️ Failure to register the correct number of guests will result in the entire group being asked to leave without refund. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests.

Another great stay at Slanted House! As always, super clean, well organized and comfortable. The location is great for going to Cincinnati or local restaurants in Covington. Vicki and Doug are the perfect hosts; always available to address any issue.

Everything about the place was perfect. From location to cleanliness and comfort we could not have asked for more. The house was decorated really cool as well. When we come back to Cincinnati we will 100% look to book here again first.

The communication for starters, was amazing. The kindness of the managers? Second to none.The house is adorable and no attention to detail is missed. Plenty of towels and blankets and bedding. They even had drinks and snacks as well. I will stay here every time I visit my son at UC. Thank you.

My family had a wonderful stay here and we plan to come back for sure. The owners have done an amazing job decorating this house with fun, vintage signs and articles. In fact, we spent our first hour here just checking out all the fun tchotchkes. Super clean and perfect location with plenty of restaurants and boutique shops in walking distance; most important to us, we could walk across the bridge to Great American Ballpark. Highly recommend the Slanted House to anyone wishing to visit the Cincinnati area.

The Slanted House was a fun place to stay and the decor brought back some childhood memories. Everything was well-appointed in the home. The location was perfect for us while visiting our son. Highly recommend the Slanted House.

Awesome place, awesome location

I chose this place because of proximity to Brady Music Hall and Great American Stadium. Both were about a 25 minute walk across the Ohio River on a suspension bridge. I found some nice restaurants all in walking distance. Vicky and Doug were never more than a message away with great suggestions about local food and entertainment. Place was thoughtfully decorated and well maintained. Although it was on street parking only, I never had an issue finding parking right in front of the place. Also, easy access to interstates. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will stay here again next time I go to Cinci!

This home was so amazing. The decor was top notch to begin. The size of each room was perfect. Alexa playing relaxing music, bed was so comfortable and they have an area outside the bedroom door where you can go sit and have a smoke if you need too. I was sitting out back with my sweetheart and seen a falling star . This place is a must stay if you’re ever in the area. You won’t be disappointed I promise you that.

Really Enjoyed the Slanted House!

My husband and I really enjoyed our overnight stay at The Slanted House. The place was clean, comfortable and full of small touches that made our stay nicer (thanks for stocking the house with coffee!). The location of the slanted house is also great and is very close to many restaurants and shops in Covington. We went to the Savannah Bananas game during our stay and it was very convenient to catch the Southbank shuttle (2 pp) to the stadium. Also, we met our host Vicky and her Mom on the last day. Thanks for the nice conversation and restaurant recommendations, Otto's was great for brunch!

Our stay at The Slanted House

Good location, busy street with a lot of traffic.Our dog was somewhat difficult to walk on the sidewalk "togo" because of traffic and loud noises.Overall your home was a great fit for the two of us.Enjoyed the fresh ground coffee. Thank you.

Fun Spot in Covington!

Great spot in Covington. Easy to walk to local attractions on both sides of the river. Hosts are welcoming and have everything you might need. Look forward to staying here again next year!

Great stay on my way home from Florida. Nicely appointed, everything I needed. Decorations were all reminders of my childhood. No greenspace for dogs but nice enough neighborhood to walk them. Thank you!!

Family of 4 from the Greater Cincinnati Area!

Doug is an amazing film-maker, composer and sound guy; Vicky was a top podcaster on iTunes and blogger for 10 yrs focusing on "What Really Matters"; Aidan is our charming, handsome guy - a head pastry chef, supreme foodie, tech-geek, dog whisperer and all-around good human being loved by all; and Ellie is our adorable little princess - nick-named "Friday" for believing every day can be Friday when you're doing what you love. She loves music, her friends, art, pets and school. And then there is Granny (a.k.a. Linda) who is #5 to our Airbnb Venture. Granny is retired and loves to help at the Airbnbs when she can. It's her FREE Thornton gym membership. She loves meeting guests and takes as much pride in hosting our homes as the rest of us.

We all LOVE food, movies, travel, people, and the city we live in! We have been landlords for over 25 years and our first Airbnb (House of Liebe - love in German) was the first home we bought together in Covington. The other half of this historic two-family is our other Airbnb (The Tres House - tres for three floors and our third Airbnb). It has been so much fun and successful we opened up two others, just a street over (The Slanted House and Always Friday - of course named after Ellie). And yes, The Slanted House does lean a little to the west if you are looking at it from across the street. So yes - we love hosting on Airbnb and always beautify-ing (a.k.a. cleaning) our homes to share with others.

Mutter Gottes Kirche, or Mother of God Church, was founded by German immigrants to Covington in 1841. The surrounding neighborhoods of treelined streets and brick town homes is named for this beautiful landmark. Mutter Gottes neighborhood was one of the first residential expansions of Covington, and most structures there were built between 1860 and 1890. The area bound by Fourth Street on the north, Pike street on the south, the CSX railway to the west, and Madison Avenue to the east is listed as a National Registered Historic District. Noteworthy historic structures include the fire station on Sixth Street and the Albert B. Koett house on Russell Street. A garden at the intersection of Sixth and Craig contains the Neighborhood Mosaic sign.
