Nestled along tree-lined Bluff Creek in Edmond, Oklahoma, our property is a perfect setting for your getaway! From our wrap-around porch to our leisure swimming pool, as well our 15 acres of beautiful Oklahoma landscape in the midst of 40 acres of farmland, we believe you will feel right at home. We are located only 20 minutes away from Will Rogers World Airport, 20 minutes away from Downtown OKC and only 15 minutes away from Downtown Edmond.

No parties allowed. No pets allowed. No more than 9 people allowed on the property at any given time.

Thanks for your interest in our property! We find that our guests who have the most enjoyable visits are aware of some unique things about our property. Please be aware of the following:

--No Laundry Facilities on the Property

--Privacy:

We want to let you know that our property is a working wedding venue with office hours in the cottage across the driveway from the unit (closed on Mondays). There may be showings to prospective brides and grooms on the exterior of the property, but they will not come in-doors, or onto the porches, or into the pool area. Also, there is a Unit B on the same property. You will share the porches, pool and parking areas with the guests in Unit B.

--Access:

We do not allow any more than 9 guests on the property for Unit A through the VRBO booking at any given time with one exception: If you want to host a small pool or house party with up to 15 people, you will need to select the "add an additional guest" option for an additional $300. This will give you the ability to have up to a total of 9 people sleep on the property, but have an additional 6 people on the property during the day/evening who must leave the property by 11pm each night. We do not allow our Unit A guests to use the historic Barn on the property. You can certainly look at it and walk into it, but no events may be held in it, and the electricity will not be connected in the Barn so there will be no lights or plugs. If you'd like to use the Barn for a wedding or special event, please contact Barn At The Woods through our website for access.

With all of that being said, we are in the middle of 40 acres of farmland and we back up to a creek, so you will have beautiful surroundings which we hope you will enjoy!

Lovely home

Fantastic location. Our only issue was that there was no indication in the description that they would be giving tours of the property as it is also a wedding/event venue. A guest actually tried to walk into the house while we were there and was in the backyard while we were swimming,etc. I believe this is all sorted now, and otherwise, we loved it. It was beautiful place to stay, swim, and have fun. You also can't use the grill, but the kitchen is amazing and we did all of our cooking inside!

Beautiful wedding venue and VRBO

Beautiful older home with pool and spa. Nice barn venue for weddings. The wrap around porch was awesome. If you get to OKC, check out Murphys Dueling Piano Bar.

A beautiful escape!

A few of my friends and I coach a 12U All American team from Pennsylvania, and travel out to OKC to play games each year. This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at the barn, and it is truly an amazing escape from every day, life, and the rat race of our games and busy schedule while we are there. The pool is tremendous, and the scenery is out of this world. When we need something, the owner respond immediately, and has always been graciously available to help. It is truly a beautiful place, and we look forward to staying there again in the future!! Thank you for everything, Jennifer!

Lacking

States 4 bedrooms with king, queen, queen, double. There are only 3 bedrooms. The 4th bed is a blow up mattress in an office. The upstairs was very hot. Thermostat said 77 was was rising. You could feel the heat at the bottom of the stairs. The add on bathroom upstairs was cool. Because it was running off of the AC of the owners unit. The only eating utensils were plastic. The TV was pixelating more than on. We stayed one hour while trying to get the air working. It went down but then immediately began rising and never got cooler. We did not stay.

Country Life in the City

The house is located minutes from eating establishments and entertainment; however, it is nestled into a quiet section that makes you feel like you are in the country. Our primary purpose for visiting was to have a short adult vacation where we could lounge by the private pool and occasionally play golf. We were able to do just that! A few notes for reference: 1. This house was perfect for four adults. I would not recommend it for small children due to the abundance of antiques and collectibles. It would be perfect for couples or a girls’ trip. 2. We used Uber Eats…a lot. That was our preference. They have a very large kitchen with a huge refrigerator, freezer, two dishwashers, a double oven and a stove that belongs in a million dollar home. They even have an ice maker that supplies plenty of ice for cooling drinks by the pool. However, cooking utensils are somewhat sparse, so make sure you bring what you need, or just enjoy your vacation and order out! 3. The outside area was perfect all hours of the day. The porch allows shade in the hottest hours and a great wind block. The outside is a huge asset! 4. You must realize this is a wedding venue. There were several property tours during our stay. They never came in the house, but they were in the yard by the pool and at the barn. If you want complete privacy, you may need to make sure they don’t have an open house or appointments scheduled during your stay. Overall, the owners and caretakers were very responsive to any requests we had. We enjoyed our experience and can definitely see this as a return vacation spot!

The perfect getaway…

Me and a few friends traveled to OKC to Coach a 12 & Under softball team at the Hall of Fame Stadium and wanted a private place to return home to each day after spending hours on the ballfield. This home was more secluded than we expected, and it was absolutely perfect. The home itself is absolutely stunning, inside and out, and the pool was incredible. we could not have asked for a better location and we will definitely consider it in the future when traveling to OKC! Check-in was super simple, and our questions throughout our stay were answered immediately! Although it is a wedding venue, and were told that people could be walking along the property to check it out, they were never an issue at all! It was truly an amazing week, at a beautiful place and our host was extremely friendly! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A really nice getaway spot

This place is even more private than we thought! And for being so close to OKC we were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful it was. Just 5-10 minutes from every amenity you could want. The pool was really big and the hot tub worked great. We had a couple small things upon check-in (like no cutlery) but the on-site owner fixed them quickly. Overall a very charming old home that's been updated tastefully. We would definitely go back.

Unimpressed

The house and property were lovely & historic (it could definitely use some updating) The listing needed to be more clear that the “4th bedroom” is an office with an air mattress and that all “true bedrooms” are up a steep flight of stairs which could pose difficult for elderly guests. We had to remake our queen size bed because sheets were full size!!! It felt awkward with residents living space right next to us. We could hear them (especially when sitting on the back porch in the evening), so we thought we needed to whisper at times (totally weird). Downstairs bathroom shower didn’t work, TV had bad reception, pool was infested with wasps (which didn’t allow us to enjoy it) plus the vacuum was left in the pool, so we could not really swim. The hot tub wasn’t hot (we did find the controller later in the house not where it was supposed to be on the side of the “pool house”). The pool lights weren’t working (which we were informed of on day of arrival) so we couldn’t even have enjoyed it at night (when we wouldn’t have had to battle wasps). The kitchen wasn’t equipped with basic needs like utensils & bowls so we had to purchase some just to be able to enjoy a meal that we had planned for. We had a good time but only because we were determined to make the best of the circumstances. Needless to say this will NOT be on our “Go Back to List”

Wonderful Girls Weekend

This location was the perfect spot for a long weekend with three friends. We spent the majority of our time lounging in the pool. We loved that the property is beautiful and seemed to be away from everything, but was also within a five minute drive of really anything we could need. The house is large and could easily accommodate 6 to 8 people comfortably. The kitchen is huge and we were able to easily store all of our food and drinks we purchased at Costco on our way up to the property. I know another reviewer has mentioned this, but I think it’s worth mentioning again because it is not obvious in the description of the property: The owners do live on site in the same house you’ll be staying in, just in a separate part of the house that you don’t have access to and they don’t have access to you. We didn’t experience any issues with this, as they are very respectful of the privacy of their guests. Definitely wasn’t a dealbreaker for us, we just wish it was something we would’ve been aware of going in. All in all we had a fantastic time, and would definitely rent the house again. Hopefully next time there won’t be as many wasps trying to inhabit the pool as there were this time around. :-)

Great pool terrible bed

The pool was excellent. The king bed was so bad that we left early. We are in our 40s so if you’re young it might not bother you as much.

Vacation

Our stay was pretty good. Andrew was polite and communicated well. House was nice, kids loved the pool. The only down side to the stay is there is no where in the house to sit and enjoy company. Also, there is no real dining room table. Would have been a better trip for my family if there was a place to sit and talk Comfortably. Kitchen was very nice! And had everything we needed to cook. Overall it was a nice place.

Absolutely delightful experience!

My 84 year old mother, two sisters and I stayed here to celebrate my younger sister's 60th birthday. It was the perfect location; close enough to restaurants and stores but secluded enough for these senior, slightly pudgy women to enjoy the pool in private. Speaking of the pool... it was delightful! And the wrap around porch was relaxing in the peaceful evening countryside. The house itself is a virtual museum, full of artifacts and antiques. I don't think we ever saw all of it. I could go on and on... comfortable beds; the bighest kitchen I have ever seen in a VRBO, fully equipped; the owners were quick to answer my questions and it was overall a great experience. You don't want to miss out on this one! Five stars and two thimbs up!!

The property was wonderful! Unfortunately it was raining, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool as much as we'd hoped, but the house was spacious and there was plenty of room for all of us! The home was beautiful and clean.

Great Multi-Generation Family Getaway

Our family wanted to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary together and were looking for lodging with some specific criteria- room for 8 (from 12-73), near a city, and with a pool. This house fit the bill! We were very pleased with the property. The rooms comfortably held all of us, and we even used an extra "sitting room" upstairs for one of the kids so they didn't all have to share. We loved the location of the house- an easy drive into Oklahoma City for the touristy things, but then back out to the country to relax. (Also an easy drive to the winery!) The pool and hot tub were great fun and very refreshing after (or before!) a hot day sight-seeing. Andrew was very responsive with a couple things that we couldn't find right at the beginning of our stay. I would definitely recommend this house to friends visiting the area!

Charming Farmhouse

We came to town to visit family and wanted a nice house with a pool. This charming Victorian farmhouse had it all! The home itself is extremely spacious and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. We also really enjoyed the pool and oversized hot tub. We will most definitely stay again next time we are in town!!

Christmas with family

Lovely property in a lovely setting. Beautifully maintained quintessential early 1900s farm house. Far enough away from the City to enjoy some tranquility yet close enough to pick up groceries. Appreciated the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful place foe the holidays.

The perfect vacation during coronavirus!

The Victorian farmhouse was in an idyllic setting. Because this property is also a wedding venue, they have a fantastic gourmet kitchen. The in heated pool is beautiful—we had to drag our kids out of it every night. It is out in the country, so the stars were easy to see but we were 10 minutes away from a ton of great restaurants. Ask for a tour of the barn—it is incredible. The beds were very comfortable, there was a fully stocked Keurig, and shampoo, conditioner, and soaps were provided in both bathrooms. We will go back as soon as we can! Jennifer was very nice.

Great property

We really enjoyed our stay. Jennifer is a great hostess. The pool is very nice and it’s the most well equipped kitchen I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental. Nice area.
