Mid-century modern home with private pond in an exclusive neighborhood. Central AC and heat. Set on a spacious 0.7-acre lot. Just one hour from NYC by train or car (Rowayton & South Norwalk stations). Enjoy birdwatching and duck sightings from the large deck overlooking the pond. Peaceful cul-de-sac. Pet-friendly. Private office on the first floor plus a workstation in the main suite. Main bathroom features electronic shower and heated floors. Fully equipped kitchen.

The space
The second floor has a large master bedroom, just renovated few months ago. It has a king bed, Japanese toilet, electronic showers and a tropical garden. The first floor has a second bedroom and a private office.

Family stay at the pond house

A e absolutely loved our stay at the pond house. Gustavo was a great host, very responsive. The central heating was key and the whole house was comfortable throughout our stay. The master bathroom is really nice. We loved the location as well as the quiet neighborhood.

Thanksgiving away

The property is beautiful and relaxing! We had everything we needed for a great Thanksgiving. Gustavo was an excellent host who checked in on us for anything we might need. I highly recommend this rental! The pond view is stunning and we had 4 ducks visit.

Spacious but cold

It was a very nice property with wildlife so regular we joked about them being paid actors, in a nice walkable neighborhood. If it had been a bit warmer inside, it would have been perfect (we visited early February, but not during a blizzard)! Hosts were fairly prompt when contacted, and very gracious.

What we needed!

Coming up from Florida for our daughter’s wedding, needed a place for several weeks, and also to be near family and friends, and dog friendly. This cute house answered our needs, and with a sweet frog pond in the backyard offering lots of nature- and fun for our dogs. The exercise spin bike was a huge bonus, as well as the location- hidden in plain sight on a private lane but minutes from the main roads and shops.

Amazing Mid-Century Escape

This house and property are very special. The pond brings beautiful wildlife and the windows give you a front row view. I love all the skylights and impeccable furnishings. The primary bed is very comfortable and the upstairs bath is a treat. The pictures cannot do justice to this place. It's on a private street so very little traffic and very peaceful. The deck is great for enjoying the nice views. I hope this spot is available for when we return.

Slice of Heaven!

We had a longish stay- between the sale of our Westport home and closing of our Weston home. Everything was easy and we found the property to be just what we expected and wanted. Without a doubt our favorite hangouts were the deck ( our dog loved immensely as well), the awesome living room expansive couch, , the mater bedroom and shower— that’s a lot of favorites!!! It was incredibly easy contacting the owners And their responses were fast and friendly I’d come back and would recommend this hideaway!.

The pond house

The visit was great. This is the second time I rented this house. This time I liked it even better. To sit on the deck and listen to all the different birds and see the coyote was exiting and of course, the bullfrogs. It’s closed to shopping in Rowayton and Westport and for me to visit friends in the area.The landlord Gustavo was great. To sum it up I an very pleased with the house and trip.

Perfect Rental for our Short Term Needs

The host is super responsive from the initial booking inquiry right through to check out. Responded to all contact within2 hours max. Home is really clean, very and functional and has several luxury features (master bath!). Great natural light from the many skylights. We stayed in winter and I bet the property is even more spectacular in warmer months with the pond, fountain and hot tub out back. Neighborhood is serene, yet you are no more than 5 minutes from great shopping, restaurants, public transportation to NYC. Will say the property has a few quirks like layout, but nothing that detracts from your stay. Would definitely stay again.

I’m not sure it’s on a scenic estate, but it is on a private street. Neighbors are super friendly and the host was easy to reach when we had questions. All good we loved it.

Beautiful very private spot but very close to stores, restaurants, beaches and our family

This was our first stay here. We used to live in conn where we raised our kids but moved away 7 years ago. Decided to come back to be closer to our family and new grandchild! House is mid century modern . Clean and had everything we needed for a perfect stay! We had two great family gatherings and the deck was perfect for this! Love the pond with wildlife and fountain you can turn on with Alexa! Our dog Murphy was in heaven ! Master bath was wonderful with Hested floors and fabulous shower. We plan to return next summer!

We bought this house to be our primary residence but we moved to Florida.

This is an astonishing house! We fall in love with it at first sight. The house is in a private lane with beautiful houses. It has a modernist architecture overseeing a private pond. The master bathroom has been fully renovated in 2019 including eletronic showes and japonese toilet, not to mention heated floor.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Quiet private dead-end lane. Pet friendly. House has two offices set up: one private office on the first floor and a workstation in the master suite.
