Mountain getaway

Property description was right on. Very spacious for our group. Kids loved the game room. The younger grandkids waded in the creek in the backyard.

A perfect gem in a gorgeous location

Our extended family (from 6 years of age to 80 years) made lasting memories together in this lovely cabin. The owner was so helpful and made the visit smooth. There were so many entertainment options that no one ever was heard to say "I'm bored". Everything you need (or want) for cooking is available in the kitchen, our group of 10 had extra beds available (and all the beds were comfy), a clear little stream was a delight for all and it has a nearby fire-pit for s'mores. Saw deer, turkey & bunnies in the yard. And lots of places to see nearby. Be sure to see the alpaca farm.

Beautiful, relaxing getaway

This cabin was even better than the pics! So clean, very spacious, beautiful views, relaxing hot tub, so many games and movies...we didnt even want/need to leave the cabin! Host was very responsive which was so appreciated. Thanks for a spectacular mountain getaway!

Cabin Getaway

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was beautiful and rustic and the kids really enjoyed the game room. The owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely stay again. My only suggestion would be a different lockbox for the key as it was difficult to open. We definitely recommend staying here!

Relaxing and beautiful!

LOVED staying at the Canoe Creek Cabin! The hot tub took some finessing to get it to cooperate, but everyone had a great time. Loved the views, loved the wildlife, loved the comfy beds and furniture. I would definitely come back :)

Great place

First thing first, it was clean! The roads to get there weren’t bad like others I’ve been to. Felt so much like home to us. Loved the creek, hot tub and fireplace. I also appreciated that the decor was up to date and stylish. The game room was also a hit! We will definitely be back!

Very nice, and we even got a White Christmas

We enjoyed our stay. The place was nice, and the process easy. The only negative was that the internet was a little slow, but other than that, we had a wonderful time there. Plenty of blankets, games, etc. Unexpected items in the kitchen like a crockpot were nice to have, too. Everyone enjoyed the ping pong and the hot tub, and the cabin was pretty close to some nice hiking.

Cozy, clean and fun for the whole family

For starters the game room was the best I’ve experienced so far. It kept our kids busy the entire time. The adults had fun as well. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The creek was beautiful and calming. Let’s just say that the walk back was invigorating. Nobody was joking about how steep that hill is, but I enjoyed it because I could exercise off all the food that we cooked in the well appointed kitchen. We will definitely go back.

Family fun

I wanted a place that was kid and adult friendly with spectacular views. Canoe Creek did not disappoint. I loved the views and had fun in the game room. Unfortunately, my kids now know i can play pool and is asking a thousand questions about it (LOL). Will book again in the future!! Thanks a lot

Cabin in the woods

Views were beautiful!! Cabin was not secluded had a cabin directly in front of us but no one was there. We had a wonderful time explore the creek. Enjoyed sitting outside the first day before it snowed. That was awesome!! They had a huge game selection. Will book again

Amazing and Wonderful!!

We had the absolute BEST time here. This cabin is amazing and has gorgeous views. We saw deer daily around the cabin as well as several types of birds (including hummingbirds and hawks). The teens loved all of the games and the ability to walk down to the creek so they did not have to hang out with us uncool adults. Everything was well taken care of and ready to go when we arrived. Check in was easy and departure procedures were simple and reasonable. The owners were extremely responsive before our trip and were quick to answer a question once we were checked in. We absolutely plan to stay here again!!

Nice, roomy cabin within a 1/2 hour to 2 hour drive from several great places to hike and visit.

Cabin was roomier than it appears on-line and a good vacation place for our family. It is 3 stories with decks that have a great view. It has a nice downstairs game room and we enjoyed the evenings of ping pong, foosball and checkers. The hot tube was great after long hikes. Having 3 full size bathrooms made it easy for everyone to get ready in the mornings. You are in North Carolina but very close to Tennessee and Georgia! Only problem was internet was slower than I am used too. Would definitely stay again.

This is 2nd time at this property. Love the cabin and decor. Cleanliness, or lack of, is my only complaint. Very dusty, floor dirty, towels sour smelling.

My Family of Four Loves This Place!!!

There aren’t enough good things that I can say about our stay. We had an absolutely amazing time! This was our second time booking this cabin. My family is in love with the home and Murphy, in general. The cabin is so spacious and all the amenities are included, which made us feel like we were home away from home. When it was time to pack up and leave, none of us were ready to go. My whole family wanted to stay another night or two. We are so happy that the owners opened this beautiful home to us. We will definitely be booking this cabin again!

Beautiful Property

We loved spending time as a family here! We had family from Alabama, Oregon and North Carolina all meet here for spring break. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed! The kids had games to play, there was a pool table and ping pong table, video games and much more fair them to have fun with. There were plenty of TV’s for the March madness basketball games, we didn’t have to leave the house except to go to the grocery store! The owners were very easy to communicate with and so nice. Would highly recommend! The only thing I would mention is the back yard is a lot steeper than it looks, but the kids still had fun out there. Absolutely Fantastic

It's exactly what you see!!! Everything is absolutely true about this cabin. OMG. we loved it. It was truly home away from home. As in comfort. Everything you need is there, except food. We loved the game room(tons of games) our girls (12yrs) stayed on the pool table, my wife lived in the jacuzzi, & myself floated all over the cabin(top floor patio,game room patio). Rooms were marvelous,tv's in all 3 bedrooms & gameroom. LOL you couldn't ask for a better stay. The Mountain view was spectacular, the girls loved the creek. We saw deer virtually every trip to or from cabin!! It was just "ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ". Thank You for sharing your cabin.

Rainy but restful

Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us and our fur-baby. We had a gorgeous view from our back decks and even saw several deer on 3 different days. Although we did read reviews about internet speed, it seemed to affect Netflix/Roku stations. We couldn't even get the main floor and 2nd floor televisions/dvd player to play regular dvds that we inserted. It may have been an issue with connection or cables, I don't know. The basement TV did fine with DVDs but that's not where we were wanting to gather. However, we did enjoy a few of the abundant selection of games available and enjoyed our family time, making memories. Anywho, except for that and stink bugs/ladybugs (harmless) around, it would have been an exceptional stay. By the way, your neighbor is very nice and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful secluded mountain escape

The listing description was very accurate. The cabin is beautiful, with lots of room. We had 12 family members there for a getaway for my mother's birthday. Everything in the cabin was well taken care of, except the dart boards darts were broken. This wasn't a big deal for us, because none of us play darts. Our family loved the pool table, checkers, and movies available in the cabin. The owners kept in contact with me from the time I booked until the week I was going on vacation. They were very sweet and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tranquility Estates and hope to return there again one day. I would highly recommend this for a big family, and it is big enough to sleep 12. There is plenty of room, without feeling like you are on top of each other. However, we did take turns at dinner, because the eating space was only big enough for 8 to sit at the table and 2 at the bar. Since we had 12, we let the kids eat first and then the adults ate. With it only being 10-15 minutes from the grocery store/Wal-Mart, we cooked dinner at the cabin 2 nights while we were there. Closeby attractions that we enjoyed: Nantahala Gorge/Outdoor Center; Cherokee; Bryson City; Vogel State Park (GA) FYI - The Waffle King is really a different named Waffle House Restaurant. :)

5th Annual Askew Retreat

Our stay was a wonderful time had. The only complaint I will say is the grass out back was a little high. My mother brought it to my attention. It was a bit high, other than that.. my family and I reallly enjoyed the staycation at your place.
