Beautiful views from this rustic countryside stay. You will hear birds, chickens, dogs barking! House has everything you need to cook and relax. We enjoyed sunny autumn days bbqing and eating on porch. Would love to stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Mimosa. The view of the sunset behind hills framed by the cypress trees was breathtaking. The villa itself had everything we wanted and Mari Carmen was very helpful about making sure we found our way and the check in process was perfect. So well positioned for a tour of the pueblos blancos and we were lucky to have coincided our visit with the Goyesca in Ronda. Will hopefully be coming back to enjoy more of Andalucía with this villa as our base!

Carmen met us at a petrol garage as we arrived late. The house is in a beautiful secluded area yet close to Ronda. Really enjoyed Ronda and had a beautiful home to come back to each evening. The gardener was very pleasant and maintains the pool and garden well.

A wonderful location

We had a lovely stay, with good care of Carmen, the hostesse. Most important asset of the house is the comfortable terras with spectaculair views and a romantic sunset in line with the western mountains.

Perfect location- lovely property.

This was our second stay in this lovely property. The house itself is very comfortable, with air con and insect screens, a well appointed kitchen and a nice sitting room to relax in. The owner is very helpful and easy to communicate with. The house and terrace have amazing views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The pool is fabulous and very clean. The location of the house is perfect - situated in quiet picturesque countryside but less than 10 minutes drive to Ronda, one of the most stunning towns in Spain.Highly recommended!

Peaceful cottage just out of Ronda

This property is located just 10 mins from the centre of Ronda in a remote area. It is very peaceful with magnificent views, however you will definitely need a car as it is at the end of an approximately 2km small country road. Check in was a breeze, the house was clean however for our family of 5 it was probably a little small, luckily the weather was fine and we were able to use the outside area which was lovely.

Wonderful relaxing stay

We had a lovely week at Villa Mimosa. The villa itself was clean, comfortable and with a well stocked pantry of oils, spices and other cooking essentials. The terrace and pool were fantastic and Maria Carmen was a generous host. Highly recommended

A perfect retreat

We had a fantastic stay at the villa and my son especially loved the pool. The villa was set up with everything we needed and the air con in all the bedrooms as well as the window shutters was great for a good night's sleep. A car is definitely needed for this location as stated in the description, but the villa is easy to access and well positioned for exploring Ronda and the wider area.

Almost perfect

Our stay at Villa Mimosa went very well. As the villa is located 2 hours from the main Andalusian attractions, we were able to visit the Ronda region and even go as far as Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz, Marbella...The weather was a bit temperamental (but Mari Carmen had nothing to do with that, of course ), and the pool was pretty cold. We didn't really make the most of it. But it didn't matter, as it was only mid-April.We would be delighted to return to Villa Mimosa.

Lovely quiet secluded villa

Very good, well equipped spacious villa with a traditional feel. Modern kitchen and bathroom with all you need. Large grounds containing olive trees with chickens at the bottom. Large attractive swimming pool. Handily placed for Ronda (about 10 mins away) and many Pueblos Blanco and national parks. We had really enjoyable stay and didn’t want to leave.

Ideal location and amazing views.

Well equipped comfortable air - conditioned house with insect screens in most rooms. Fabulous pool and amazing views. 5 minute drive to the historic town of Ronda. Carmen the host was very friendly and easy to contact and met us at the house when we arrived.

Our stay at Villa Mimosa

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at villa Mimosa. The villa was very private and secluded and as a family we had great times enjoying the pool. The villa is located a very short trip to good restaurants and landmarks in Ronda and Arriate. Also, well worth the approx. I hour 40 mins journey from the villa to Seville. Great communication from Carmen from start to finish and would happlliy stay at this villa again. The Holman family

Stunning view with lovely swimming pool

Very nice property on a very big plot, lots of fruit trees. 3 separate bedrooms one bathroom, with toilet. Separate kitchen with oven, microwave, laundry, coffee machine etc etc and a separate living room it feels like coming home. The children definitely had their own space. Close to Ronda about 5-10 minutes driving tot the city centre!

Lovely house.

The difficulty with our stay was that one of the party broke their leg in Ronda. Carmen was very helpful, supportive and on call to make our stay as pleasant as possibly. It was beautifully quiet apart from the resident woodpecker who visited each morning. It was within easy reach of Ronda with a car. Lovely! The pool was lovely and the house was fully equipped with everything needed. We can imagine coming back when the broken leg is healed!

Cottage with private pool

Lovely house in a flowery countryside with a well-equipped kitchen. We were even allowed to use the pantry, which was an invitation to leave something there for the next guest. Thanks to the nice weather, we only lived outside and enjoyed the spacious garden with beautiful old olive trees and chickens. There was even a vegetable garden. From the covered terrace you have a beautiful view over the valley and the mountains. However, this view was largely obscured by very high plant borders at the terrace, a somewhat high hedge along the pool and spreading trees. A good pruning would restore the sight lines and wings, so that you can restore the view without sacrificing privacy. My hands were itching to get started. We were lucky that the country house next to us was empty. Strangely enough, there is a large hole in the hedge there, so that if you were present you would have less privacy on the terrace. Now we were completely free and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings enormously. THANK YOU Carmen for the hospitable reception.

Nice house with pool

Nice house, 3 bedrooms. Good pool surrounded by a hedge. Big garden, but not really to play in. View over the mountains, if seated in certain area. In the house everything you need is there, as well in the kitchen as towels (big and more than one). The livingroom has a table (we didn't use) and 2 couches (where our teenagers made good use). Outside also a table on the covered terrace. There's also a awning which can be let down if the sun is shining onto the terrace. 5 deckchairs to lay in. The grass is not really comfortable to lie on.

Beautiful Villa and location!

We had a wonderful stay at a holiday villa in a tranquil location that exceeded my expectations. This charming retreat not only had a pool for relaxation but also had a delightful addition of chickens and a rabbit, which my son adored and still misses every day. One of the standout aspects of our experience was the prompt and attentive assistance we received from Carmen, the host. She was always quick to respond to any inquiries or requests we had, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The villa itself was well-maintained, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere for a truly relaxing getaway. The quiet location offered a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing us to fully unwind and reconnect with nature. We were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience, and I can confidently say that we will be returning to this spot in the near future. I highly recommend this holiday villa to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with excellent amenities and a caring host. I must add that the melodic chirping of the birds added a touch of nature’s music to our stay, creating a peaceful ambiance that was truly enchanting. It was a joy to wake up to their cheerful songs each morning and feel a deep connection with the natural surroundings.

Quiet option for Ronda (or Setenil)

We stayed for 5 nights. The property is rural, but very close to Ronda (maybe 5 minutes to the nearest grocery store/market, pharmacy, etc., 10 minutes to the center of Ronda). We do not like nightlife noise when we are trying to sleep, so this was ideal for us. There is a surface parking lot in Ronda well situated and cheap which we used multiple times, from which many of the tapas places and the famous bridge are a few short minutes walk away. Ronda feels very safe at night, we had no problem driving back late in the evening. The birds are LOUD during the day, they are numerous. Yet at night the birds were quiet. It's a great view, partially obscured by the privacy hedges next to the pool, but those are also appreciated. There are bugs, but they aren't troublesome. We ate a couple dinners outside and were surprised to not be bothered by any mosquitos or flies. The ants sometimes invade the kitchen, one evening there were dozens of them. Usually there were only a few, sometimes none, and only one or two ventured into the hallway. (We only ate food in the kitchen and outside.) Wifi was good, not great, but better than expected given the rural setting. Overall 10/10

Amazing villa in fabulous location

Fabulous villa within easy reach (5 mins drive to Ronda) as well as other places like Marbella, Olvera, Estepona, Seville etc Very well equipped - WiFi, large TV, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine Kitchen - everything you could need Bedrooms- double,twin and single, very comfortable, extra pillows and duvets available Outside - great pool, large, private not lit or heated but has steps as well as ladder in for people like me, who just like to go in shallow Garden - stunning. Very rural. Feels like being very close to nature. Almond and olive trees. Chickens at the bottom and a veg plot.gardener calls twice a week. Proper friendly and doesn’t impede on your space at all. If you want manicured park-like gardens, this isn’t for you.if you love nature,trees and flowers and want to be out of the town/city, this place is perfect. Rustic + well-maintained Air con and professionally fitted fly screens but keep the doors shut. The mosquitoes like to bite. I ignored a previous review to my peril! Loads of bits and bobs in larder like coffee, salt, herbs etc Dishwasher tabs, washing up.iqiod, bin bags etc were there when we arrived. Host is lovely, responds quickly and was really chilled about arrival and departure times as Villa was free a day or so either side. Google where to eat in Ronda and don’t just “happen upon” somewhere that looks busy. Some places wanna fleece tourists. Do your research. It’s an amazing place, make the best of it!
