The cottage was perfect size and well equipped. The hosts were very responsive and supportive as I was recovering from a bike accident and they were able to extend my stay several times. Highly recommend!

Short Thanksgiving visit with family

Everything was good, for the most part. Had some minor issues with the financial part, but it eventually got resolved. Owner did everything possible to make it all correct. House was nice and comfortable. Some issues with the TV, but it eventually got resolved. We were only allowed the toilet paper that was there….so we had to purchase our own to make it through the days we stayed there. That was kind of a bummer. Also, no hand soap for the kitchen, but it eventually got resolved and delivered. The heater had issues, and found out the filter had not been changed for a long time, but that got resolved with the filter replacement. No sponges in the kitchen, just a soap dispensing hand/dish sponge….that really needed to be thrown away with lots of use. Dryer and/or washer shook the whole house when on certain cycles. But….these issues really would not deter us from renting this place again! It was in a nice and safe area and, again, the owner was very quick to respond to any and all of our needs, for the most part! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in a nice and quaint area in Boise, close to the old town area in Hyde Park and to the state capitol building and main part of the city!

North End Cottage

We loved our stay at North End cottage. The location was perfect for walking to Hyde Park and downtown. The house was very comfortable and well appointed, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, though we only really made coffee and enjoyed walking everywhere. The back patio offers an outside space, tho is advertised as "exterior is elegantly landscaped." We found this not true but there is potential!

Everything was perfect for our party of 2. It was clean, very cute. We could easily walk but drove and downtown was very close. Parking was great and our place had everything we needed. It was nice having a filtered water and ice cube which oftentimes is not readily available so I like that. Great place and would recommend.

1938 cottage

We came to Boise to visit our daughter. We arrived a little early and asked for early check in and was offered early check in for a fee while the place was ready. I declined and waited till 3:00 check in time and couldn’t enter the house. My passcode would not work. It’s 100 degrees outside and attempted enter with several different codes given to us from management. Luckily the maintenance guy came buy and gave us his code to finally enter an hour later . We went to get ourselves ready to go out to dinner and there was only 1 towel. Called management for another towel and was offered extra towels the next day we had to run to rite aid down the street for extra towels. House needs a full length mirror and suitcase racks. The house gets crazy with smells from downstairs long term tenant when they cook. the house was very comfortable and accommodating other than that.

Very cute. All inclusive. I rented top and bottom unit and it was great. Couldn't hear anything in between ubits. Very private. Easy walk to cute shops and great breakfast place..."Verify" Also downtown "Bacon" was fantastic too!

Great cottage in super quiet location. Able to walk/bike downtown and easy access to restaurants. AC was super and cooled us off from the heat. Kitchen had a lot of charm.

I was in town to golf with friends that live nearby. the house was perfect as all i needed to do was make coffee in the morning and sleep. both worked out very well. will definitely stay there again.

It was a great spot, close to downtown but also in a quiet area. The place was clean and the kitchen was awesome. we loved our stay here and would stay again if coming back to Boise.

Noisy basement dweller and cheapskate linens

Beware! There is a strange guy who lives below the bedroom and bathroom of this cottage. He is loud with abrupt outbursts and the sound reverberates through the floor or the HVAC vents. It's pretty obnoxious. One night he carried on with a buddy ALL NIGHT LONG, thru to the morning. Who knows what they were doing (playing video games?), but it's not what we want to hear when we're on vacation. Owners: you should NOT be renting this cottage on VRBO as long as you have the downstairs tenant. Seriously not cool. A secondary issue was that the bed pillows were FLAT, the comforter was thin and the bathroom towels were a random assortment of scratchy white with some black nubs on some of them. Oh, and there were only FIVE hangers. C'mon owners, I think you can do better than this! And was there dish soap and sponge anywhere? If so, we couldn't find them. Was happy to leave!

Overall, was a wonderful little space. Cute and cozy. Quiet enough for location so close to major road. Sound and cooking smells from neighbors and feeling like my sound carried was biggest issue.” Minor” overlooked cleaning like dusty bathroom vent, underbed vacuuming, and dust buildup in a couple corners was all. For the price was Amazing compared to many properties! Thanks for relatively affordable great place to stay. !

We have always loved the North End neighborhood of Boise. The old homes, mature trees and quiet streets are too hard to resist. When we found this home, we instantly fell in love with it for all its charm and personality. We had looked at dozens of other homes, but this was clearly the one!

Even though the home was built in 1938, the complete remodel ensures that you will enjoy the old North End neighborhood in comfort and style.
