Encantadora casa de campo en la costa

Casa tranquila, aislado, sombra y protegido en jardín dentro 'Ellenglaze' una propiedad de 25 acres. Ellenglaze es de aproximadamente 2 minutos en coche o un agradable paseo de 20 minutos a pie, de la fantástica playa de arena de la bahía y con fácil acceso a la magnífica costa de Tutukaka. Ellenglaze Cottage es cómodo y privados constituido para estar al aire libre. La fauna abunda en un entorno de jardines exóticos, arbustos nativos, corriente de fondo pedregoso y estanques de patos.

Sandy Bay es una playa de surf popular y grande para la pesca frente a las rocas. Hay muchos paseos en la zona, incluyendo un paseo costero de Sandy Bay a Whananaki Norte.

El resto de la costa Tutukaka contiene playas de gran belleza escénica como Whale Bay y Matapouri. Tutukaka Marina es una base para la pesca deportiva y el buceo en los Pobres Caballeros Islas además de que cuenta con una buena selección de cafés y restaurantes.

Para los amantes del golf hay cursos en Whangarei, Hikurangi y nueve hoyos en Ngunguru.

The cottage was absolutely wonderful, clean cute and set in the most amazing natural setting. We loved our stay and will certainly be back plus recommending to anyone else who wants to stay near this location I can't imagine there is anywhere more unique and special.Sue was a wonderful kind host.

Communication was great and property was clean and as described. Only scored lower because in the end it wasn't really what we were looking for - albeit the weather didn't help. In the wet conditions it felt small and dark, and we had a lot of damp clothes and no way to dry them.

Peaceful inland retreat

Sue’s cottage is warm and welcoming with plenty of bird life. The bush walk from the cottage is a bonus well worth doing. Our family enjoyed playing cornhole on the lawn and kiwi quest in the evenings. Wonderful stay, thanks Sue.

Relaxing and calming

We loved Sue's place in the bush. A three minute drive to a gorgeous beach and the native bush surrounding the property was magnificent. We all felt to revived and calm when we left there. I likened it to very posh camping as it has a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel. Every room is individual and you walk out on a really sheltered and covered deck to get to each room. You have everything you need any nothing you don't. we were there five nights. It is super quiet. A very special haven indeed. Thanks for sharing it with us Sue.

Beautiful grounds and a peaceful relaxing stay!

We loved our stay in the cottage. It's very close to Sandy bay, but has a feeling of remoteness and peacefulness. The cottage is comfortable, clean and well equipped and the native bush and landscaped grounds are stunning to walk in. Thank you Sue!

Hidden gem

Jeff and Sue have created a beautiful forested paradise. It is such a cozy and quaint cottage. Truly peaceful. Thank you for making our stay at your property so memorable! The chocolate was a thoughtful touch after our long journey. The attention to detail and understanding of what makes an stress-free stay didn’t go unnoticed. We felt right at home and will definitely be recommending this place to our friends.

Perfect Retreat

We loved the cottage. It was nestled in the bush. But it was also a short drive to the beach. The attention to detail was impressive, both inside the cottage, and the grounds. While it retained an element of rusticness, it was extremely clean. We had forgotten our multiboard, but there were 2 in the bedroom allowing us to recharge phones and laptops.Night lights came on automatically which were very helpful for us seniors needing to get up at night. The bush walk is a must. We only did it once but ideally it should be a daily activity. We enjoyed playing "Cornhole". It was extremely private giving us the feeling we were the only people around for miles.A very restful few days . A big thank you to Sue and Jeff who obviously put in a huge amount of work keeping the cottage and grounds in perfect order.

Beautiful setting.

Loved our stay here. Cottage was so comfortable with everything you need. Totally private and the surrounding nature setting just magical. Our son loved to feed Elvis the Eel in the creek. Great location with many beaches nearby.

Peaceful bush place

This place is in the bush in a beautiful, peaceful location. The place was spotless and the walks around the property were great. Short drive to stunning beaches. A place to relax. Host was incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

Private Quiet Retreat Space

The property is well maintained and designed for privacy and comfort.The hosts are delightful. They gave us absolute privacy but were quick to respond when we had a question about the TV.We left something behind and they went out of their way to help return it to us. No cell phone connection but excellent Wifi and a good assortment of games and entertainments.

A little slice of paradise.

What a find! John and Sue have created a heavenly place to relax and enjoy (and they are super hosts.) The bach is wonderful, equipped with everything you need for a stay-the deck is glorious and is where we ate all our meals and enjoyed our sundowners listening to the birds. The grounds are a must to explore, what they have achieved is astonishing. Great base to explore the area from. We absolutely loved our stay. We'll be back!

Bush hideaway

Really enjoyed our stay. The set up of the cottage is perfect if you are after a bush experience without camping! Inside was neat and tidy, with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen and BBQ. The hosts were very welcoming and maintain all sorts of activities and walks around the property.

Wonderful sanctuary near beautiful beaches

The cottage is very well thought out for a relaxing a comfortable stay. It is perfectly peaceful and quiet with just the sound of the birds. The covered deck means you can sit outside, and BBQ in any weather. With all the rooms having separate access to the deck, it makes it feel more spacious. The hosts have thoughtfully provided everything you need from kitchen essentials, to books, puzzles, games, additional towels and blankets, and happy to help with anything else you need, like washing. A lovely place to hang out, explore the gardens and a short drive to beautiful beaches. Good wifi and TV options but limited cell signal. Comfortable beds and great to have insect nets on all the windows. I hope we can come back another time.

Heavenly

Ellenglaze is a gorgeous bach with absolutely everything one needs for a peaceful break. We think the garden is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The stream and the 30 min. walk are like being in a forest, hard to believe it was carved out by Sue and Jeff from bare land. 2 mins drive to some of the best beaches in NZ, including Whale Bay. Definitely will be back!!

Magical hideaway

Wonderful retreat, yet close to the beaches and magnificent coastline of Tutukaka. Very comfortable and quaint home, in a completely quiet and natural surrounding. We really enjoyed the mini walks around the property and the birdsong. We had one night of crazy rain, and were snug as bugs!
