Elegante bach frente al estuario

Two Tides flota en un sitio privado con orientación arbustiva, orientado al norte, en la periferia del estuario de Parapara en la hermosa Bahía Dorada. Diseñado por el galardonado arquitecto de Nelson Min Hall y Arthouse Architecture, está bellamente ubicado y construido para el sol durante todo el día. Elegante y con estilo, compacto pero ordenado, está amueblado con altos estándares de calidad y confort. Será de interés para aquellos que aprecian las cosas buenas de la vida, incluso cuando tienen arena entre los dedos de los pies.

Las puertas de carpintería de vidrio se abren a las cubiertas al norte y al este para expandir la superficie habitable en los días soleados. Doble acristalamiento y totalmente aislado, que junto con su orientación norte asegura que si se mantiene bien caliente, también tiene un horno / quemador de leña Warmington Studio y un calentador de columna de aceite para una comodidad invernal tostada.


Condiciones especiales:
Two Tides no es ideal para niños pequeños. Una escalera empinada hacia un 'loft de almacenamiento' en el entrepiso es una tentación potencial para los niños menores de 10 o 12 años, por lo que deben mantenerse alejados de esto. Informe al propietario si tiene niños pequeños en su grupo y confirme que será responsable de su seguridad.

We stayed for 3 nights but would have loved to stay for a week! Great communication from Simon, the house is so light and comfortable. Has lovely little touches (some basic food items, board games, washing powder etc) so it feels like a home. Loved having Weka walking aroind the property. Made for a wonderful family holiday.

Host was really friendly, location was great if you like quiet easy bwach access. Probably wouldnt want to stay for more than a week, due to things to do but waa excellent for a short break and definitely would go back if cloaer.

This bach was absolute perfection: clean, comfortable, warm and with every comfort and item you could ever need for your stay. The amazing estuary views add to the whole experience, and with the beach just up the road there's no need to venture very far at all if you're seeking a relaxing getaway. We could have happily stayed for weeks!

Perfect break away for Christmas. Relaxing spot with all amenities we needed. Bach is well appointed for a comfortable stay. Walk to the beach is quick and easy, a great place to park up with a book.Lovely and quiet, enjoyed watching the tide come and go and watching the various birds cruising by. Fantastic slice of paradise. Simon and Mary great hosts easy communication all the way.

We loved the moods of the Estaury. It was handy to the Golden Bay Area. We visited museums, beaches, galleries, Takaha, mussel Inn, other food places. Pupu springs, Devils Boot, Gin tasting, Labyrinth Rocks. We had done all these previously but we were showing English visitors around.

The house was exactly as described, and it was perfection! Well appointed, stunning scenery, comfortable bed, views from bed were amazing...we wanted for nothing. Simon provided detailed information prior to arrival of suggested activities, eateries, etc. Four nights was not enough, but we covered a lot of territory but were sad to leave!

Two Tides is a true treat!

The home is well laid out with stunning views of the Estuary and bird life. The amenities are top-notch, nice beds, great shower, etc. Loved the fully equipped kitchen, the egg poaching pan was a favorite. The furniture is beautiful and the home is artful and interesting. Simon is a Superhost and provides info on anything you may think of. Our best stay in NZ to-date, thank you Simon for sharing your lovely home!

A Dream

It's an incredible bach, and we loved every minute of our stay. The entire process was effortless. The bach is designed for relaxation. It has an excellent selection of books and pantry supplies, stunning views over the estuary, and a short walk to the beach. Simon and Mary are brilliant communicators. Magical place

Thanks Simon and Mary for a fabulous stay in your beautiful house on the Parapara Estuary. The position is to die for and the house is perfectly designed to make the most of the ebb and flow of the tides. We loved having access to kayaks and everything we needed was in the house. We'll be back!

Georgous property in blissfully peaceful location

What you see on the website is what you get! The property is just georgous! Everything you need for a stay. It is a peacheful place the tide coming and going bringing birds with it. A very short walk to the beach and close to the attractions of the western end of Golden Bay. Beautiful!

Comfortable, perfect view, excellent communication

The host was very kind to accommodate our party of five, and was quick and friendly in communication. The loft served as the extra room. The view is fantastic and the style of the home makes you want to spend your entire stay enjoying the atmosphere. It was filled with local art and pottery. It has everything you need for a great stay.

Lovely architectural design, sighted for the sun, privacy and beautiful views of the tidal wetlands. Bird life abounds. Fully loaded in terms of kitchen/house equipment. And Nz’s hippiest area with numerous short walks and swimming adventures. Bring books, the Tv is tiny with poor sound!

Welcome, in advance, to Two Tides at Parapara inlet. We hope it provides a relaxing, restful haven during your stay. We have been coming to the area for more than 25 years. We love its rugged beauty, its isolation, the wildlife, the creativity of its artists, the friendly people and the relaxed nature and pace of life it affords. We conceived Two Tides to reflect some of the essence of Golden Bay, and unable to be here permanently at present, we are very happy to share this special place with appreciative and like-minded guests. We hope you find it a peaceful base from which to explore and experience the area; or simply in which to put your feet up, read a good book and enjoy the view.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Located in Parapara Beach Road, it is a few minutes drive from the famous Mussel Inn at Onekaka and, equally, a short distance by car from the Courthouse Cafe, shops, and the pub -- which does great fish and chips -- in Collingwood. It is an ideal situation from which to explore the many attractions Golden Bay has to offer: from Farewell Spit and Wharariki Beach to Pupu Springs and Wainui Falls. Or to rest up after one of the many tramps the area offers including, of course, the Heaphy Track. It boasts a number of artists’ and potters’ studios in the near vicinity including Tim Jessup, Anatoth, Red Manuka, and Estuary Arts among others. Kayaking and paddle-boarding is popular on the estuary about two to three hours either side of high tide. We give an annual donation to a local trust which runs the boatshed on the estuary -- about 150 metres from Two Tides -- so that our guests can use kayaks and other equipment. Golden Bay is celebrated for its beaches – Parapara beach is a mere 200-metre stroll – for its isolation and wild beauty, its wildlife and birds, its original and vibrant arts scene, its off-beat but compelling eateries, and the friendliness of its people. Two Tides is ideally placed for an introduction to all of these. But it is also the perfect, peaceful bach in which to curl up with a good book and admire the view.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This stylishly appointed family bach offers rare and uninterrupted, peaceful views of the estuary, with its ever-shifting tides, to the hills and mountains beyond. Bask on the deck in full morning sun for breakfast and salute brilliant sunsets over the water from the same spot. Built for maximum light, it is very private, and warm, and only a 200-metre stroll to an often-deserted Parapara beach. Two Tides provides the relaxing benefits of a typical beach holiday, but with high-quality lodge-like comfort at holiday home prices. Equally in winter, and throughout the seasons, double-glazing and a small, efficient wood-burner ensure toasty temperatures regardless of the outside elements. The new studio addition adds capacity (from four in the bach to six altogether) for larger groups, and a specially designed writing alcove with desk and monitor provides possibilities for those who may wish to combine some remote work with their R&R.
