Loved the neighborhood and all the kids toys. The home was great, and the outdoor space was nice. The hot tub was not working, the sauna was not working, the sliding doors were very hard to use, there was no AC, no screens on the sliding doors so at night a lot of bugs came inside.

Beautiful cabin

The location was great and in a beautiful neighborhood. The cabin was very spacious with a lot of fun activities for the kids. I would recommend this cabin especially when bringing children. Vivien (the host) was very quick to respond and helpful with any questions I threw her way. Thank you!

Amazing property!

Loved this property! Only 4 of us so we had plenty of extra room! The master bedroom and bathroom are great size and made for comfy place to stay! The couch was a nice place to sit and watch the fire while enjoying a movie!

The Perfect Family Vacation

We had all of our kids and grandkids stay at this beautiful home and just had the perfect weekend. As adults we had places to relax and talk and the kids had plenty of things to do to entertain themselves. We would definitely stay there again.

Big Bear pre-holiday

Check in and communication were excellent! Our stay was fantastic and exactly what the Dr. Ordered. I dinged one star in the description because the view is not great, but otherwise the house is very comfortable for both gatherings/meals and to hide away with a book. Would definitely rebook.

Thanksgiving 2023

House was very nice and quite large. Pictures are pretty accurate. Nice for families to spend time together. Just needs a better cleaning in between renters, the living room rug was full of dog hairs; the oven is extremely dirty, not great when I wanted to use the oven for Thanksgiving. Could use some more pans to cook with and definetly more kitchen towels. We had a great time while staying here and the kids kept busy with the extra things they have here in the house.

Great stay at Bear Paw Retreat

Bear Paw is a beautiful home in a great neighborhood. The property is well represented in the on-line photos. There is a steep spiral staircase from the garage/bottom level. It was not an issue for us but could be for anyone with mobility issues. We blocked it off for the little kids. Other than that, the home is well-stocked with everything we needed for a super fun winter vacation with our family. Lots of room and the views are beautiful. I would definitely stay in this home again.

Beautiful Large Log Cabin Home

This is a beautiful large log cabin home with gorgeous views in an upscale and serene neighborhood, that is a 20 minute walk to the lake and a short drive to the village. We are a family of 8 adults and had plenty of room for our group. The beds are firm but comfortable, the showers worked well, and there is everything you need for a lovely stay. This is a 3 story house so be prepared to use the stairs a lot. The garage is on the first floor and you might want to park around the house by the front door to unload your things into the front room and kitchen area, otherwise your carrying groceries and luggage up a narrow spiral staircase to that area. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely appointed but could use a fresh coat of paint. Bring your own toilet paper and tissue if you like soft, and an extra roll of paper towel because you only get one. The kitchen could use a new set of pots and pans, but the plates and glasses/cups and silverware were very nice. The espresso machine with coffee pods was a hit! The front room furniture didn't accommodate more than 5 people and the couch wasn't very comfortable, the back cushions kept slipping down, but we made due and it was nice to light and sit by the fire. (Bring your own wood and fire starters). This room could use some blanket throws, new bigger throw pillows, another end table and table lamps. The lighting in this area is very bright without dimmers, and is hard on the eyes and not cozy. We brought lamps out from a bedrooom to use instead of the bright recessed lighting. The outside deck of the front room is nice to sit out, but would have been easier to enjoy if the snow had been cleared off before our arrival. The downstairs deck is large but was covered in snow so we didn't use that, nor needed to in the winter, but the jacuzzi on that level was nice. We struggled getting it heated so better directions for using it would be helpful. Vivien was immediately attentive with that. Give the jacuzzi a few hours to heat up. We all had fun playing ping pong in the garage, pool in the downstairs bedroom, and fusball in the front room. However, we were all separated in different area when playing these games, so having them together in a game room would have been more enjoyable. All in all, this is a beautiful home to stay in, but with some small adjustments could be amazing!

Just perfect!

The property was amazing, neighborhood was great and our host, Vivien, was very thoughtful and accommodating. Kids loved the gameroom and the adults loved the views, great fireplace and the lovely amenities. We will definetly be back and we highly recommend this property.

Well appointed and Beautiful

This home had everything our group of seven needed, and space to separate if you need “me”time. The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood and close to the ski resorts.

Memes 80+ Birthday

My family and I rented this cabin for my birthday. Had a great time, cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Lots of space for all, nice decks, lots of games to enjoy. We cooked most meals in and had plenty of pans, dishes , silverware etc. Vivian responded to our ever need quickly. Would rent again!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Bear Paw Retreat! My family joined together to celebrate a 40th birthday for our son. We cooked, BBQed, played games in incredibly comfortable open concept. I had a pretty long list of criteria when I was looking. Open concept from kitchen to living/dining room and transition from indoor to outlet door space. Activities such as pool, putting golf, and the wonderful child play area where my granddaughter was able to invite us to her restaurant and to play games and build a train track. The crib and high chair was a great touch as we had a 1 year old. High end appliances allowed us to bake and cook with ease and the amount of counter space allowed for 4 of us to be in the kitchen together at different stations. The beds were very comfortable, and the large master with crib allowed my son and his family with 2 small children to be together, while my husband and I got the bedroom with the pool table and play some music to enjoy some time together. The house was stocked so nicely, with lovely plate ware, luxury towels and linens. We are so looking forward to next summer and would like to make this our annual getaway. Amazing property in great neighborhood!

Stood there with family and we all really enjoyed our stay. It is conveniently located to everything with a great view! 5 minute drive to lake. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend.

Short Getaway

There was hair in one shower, some of the hand soap dispensers in bathrooms didn’t work, and we had trouble with the drawer in the freezer. Our young children couldn’t come with us but I think they would have enjoyed all the “toys”. The house may be too hot when temps are over 75 (no AC) but we had cool temps and it was fine. The house is located in a hilly neighborhood. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the kitchen was adequate. We enjoyed the hot tub.

Great time at Big Bear!!

Great location!! Short drive to lots of hikes and to the grocery store. Lovely deck with beautiful views and a big table that seats 8. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub. Very comfy beds. We’d absolutely stay there again.

Really Nice Big Bear Views

Great cabin with two big decks to enjoy the wonderful views. It was too bad the snow completely covered all the patio furniture or else we would have enjoyed the outdoor space more. Rooms are spread out between 3 levels, so lots of stairs, but PLENTY of beds and room for everyone to space out comfortably. The only way to access the hot tub is through the garage. You have to open the garage and then walk around to the lower deck. Host was extremely easy to communicate with and accommodating. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Family friendly mountain retreat

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the many gaming activities available inside the house. The view from the main living area is majestic and peaceful. The main living area includes a lovely open floor plan where one can cook, enjoy the view, watch tv and warm up by the large fireplace. The jacuzzi on the lower deck was relaxing and a wonderful way to catch the changing colors at sun down. The property is located on a convenient side of the town, easy to get in and out of the shopping areas.

Great rental cabin

Nice spacious house in excellent neighborhood. Owners are accommodating and response within minutes. House has plenty of amenities ( pool table, ping pong, and jacuzzi tab were favorites for our party of 6 adults). We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Great weekend getaway
