Cabin is not as advertised. Deep cleaning needed inside and out. Repairs needed to outside doors and decks. Rodent and insect issues in all upstairs bedrooms, had to do some cleaning myself in order for my out of town family to sleep. No internet connections, unable to watch College Football!! Not all DVD players worked, and all remotes did not have batteries. We do not recommend this property. Please go and read reviews on the Evolve site for confirmation. Spend your money elsewhere.

My family and I enjoyed ourselves this weekend in this lovely cabin. Its definitely a great place if you have kids. Everything was great and in good shape but we barely had cell connection but who needs that when you have your family there with you.Will definitely go back if we ever go back that way.

Host was easy to reach and answered all questions. The cabin was HUGE and exactly what we were looking for in our stay. It is VERY far away from the main part of Ellijay, but if you're looking for quiet and decision, this is the place!

Large Family Getaway

We had a crew of 5-20 adults and children off and on throughout our 3 night stay. The hot tub and the firepit were perfect! The downstairs game area allowed the kids to play while the adults gathered by the firepit. There are several large decks/balconies where people could gather and chat, as well as several indoor areas where people could gather. The house is large and there are plenty of beds. The house is a cabin with "cabin-like" amenities. The internet is not bad for the location. No one in our group had cell service at this location, however we were able to text via the wifi. We were also able to stream video in the living area. Not too far from town.

This property is nothing like what is posted online we arrived and immediately left the property due to the filth and conditions. Rat droppings bugs food left in drawers in the bedrooms. The list goes on and on we were traveling to our grandson‘s wedding and had to pack up as soon as we unpacked to try and find a hotel. Totally unacceptable. I would not recommend this rental property to anyone if there were a star less than one I would rate it a -20 if not more.

Place looks nothing like the pictures. Has not be cleaned or prepped for people to stay in it. Has several trash burn pills around the house. Also found dirty underwear in the middle of the basement.

Overall my group had a decent time! There is plenty of space in the house, and plenty of parking. The house is as pictured in the listing! The home is located right next to a chicken farm, so it smells really bad outside. Due to the smell we couldn't utilize any of the outdoor amenities, which was a bummer.The hot tub had some wires hanging out of it, and looked unclean so even if there wasn't a smell outside we didn't want to risk harm to use it. The house itself was pretty clean overall! It took a while to cool, but once it was cool it maintained a comfortable temperature. We found a sock and a cellphone made into one of the beds, but other than that it was clean upon our arrival. The location of the house was a bit difficult to find, but not too bad if you can read a map! It is located deep in the woods, which limits cell phone service and wifi connectivity (to be expected with a more remote location). The home has a large dvd collection so when the wifi wasn't working we could watch movies!There was a bit of confusion with the check-in time as the time the host communicated with us wasnt what was listed on the vrbo app. Communication with the hosts was through email and phone, and was clear for the most part, except the check-in time confusion. Overall, my group had a decent time and the home provided enough space for us to gather!

The house was very spacious, with plenty of bedrooms and large living areas perfect for our big group. Sadly, the condition of the home was a major letdown and there are serious issues that need to be addressed before renting it again.The owner was still there when we arrived, left a beer bottle on the porch, and dirty dishes in the sink. The house was filthy—crusted sheets, dead bugs, dust everywhere, and dirty kitchen items we had to rewash. There was only enough silverware for 6 people, no washcloths, hand towels, or extra bedding despite it being advertised for 20 guests.The biggest problem was the overwhelming smell from a nearby Tyson chicken farm. We are used to country living, but the constant stench made it impossible to enjoy the outdoor spaces—one of the main reasons we booked this house. This should absolutely be disclosed in the listing.Other problems included:•Broken king bed, non-working TV, broken tiles, unusable shower door, missing stove handle•Exposed 220v wires near hot tub and game room—major safety hazard•Chewed gum on walls, a used vape, old opened food in pantry•Queen beds were actually doublesThis home has potential but needs serious cleaning, maintenance, and full transparency about the chicken farm before being rented out again.

Disappointing

The pictures online were misleading. The WIFI is not good. The AC in the great room and loft did not work properly. Thankfully the AC in the kitchen and bedrooms worked well. I am not sure if I was communicating with the owner or the property manager. Communication on the day we checked in was good. However, when I asked them to come out and check the air conditioning they stopped responding to any of my requests. The property is not maintained well and needs a thorough cleaning. The kitchens were unorganized. You cannot hangout on the porch/deck because it is next to a chicken farm. The smell outside is horrible. They have air fresheners all around the house. I do not recommend staying in this cabin.

Weekend get away with family and friends

We had a wonderful time! The house was just as described! I will highly recommend. We had 12 people staying and we never felt crowded.

We did not stay there. It was disgraceful. No service no WiFi or land line. Rat dropping all over the house. The air conditioning did not work. We have tried to get our money back but Evolve is a joke and will not reply to our messages. Terrible company.

disappointed

this property had some issues that need to be addressed:- rodents- a broken dishwasher with dirty dishes- many of the pots/dishes in the cabinets were dirty- cabin needs general cleaning and decluttering- the jacuzzi was "fixed" while we were there but it was unappealing and the electrical box was below the waterline on the wall- it felt unsafe- there were electrical wires exposed without proper covers- the outside porch was unpleasant with the smell of the chicken farm nearby- the wifi was not working when we arrived, it was fixed, but there is zero cell phone service if there isn't wifi- the blankets in the top of the closet are stained, it would be nice if there were extra sheets- the keurig is missing (it's listed as an amenity)positives- the cabin is spacious- the beds slept well

Work to be done

Cabin needs major deep cleaning, landscaping, and upgrades. Wifi did not work so unable to use television or phones/devices. Appliances were outdated and there was limited utensils, pots, pans, etc. that were clean enough to use. Excessive tools and outdated supplies took up most drawer and shelf space. This cabin has great potential but needs a lot of work.

Secluded

I’m not sure if I communicated with the property owner or the property management company but that communication was good. The pictures of the inside of the home display what the home look like inside. The pictures of what the outside looks like is not the same at all. The driveway needs to be paved because it was treacherous trying to get to the actual home itself. Understanding the property is under some renovation. It should not be listed as a place to stay until those things are completed. There were rodents and cockroaches. The home really needs a deep cleaning. There was no Wi-Fi working properly so access to the Internet or the TVs was pretty much impossible for the three days. My family and I made the best of it because we were there to have fun and enjoy each other. I would not recommend staying until whatever renovations that have to be done are done and the house is cleaned properly.

Technically, it delivered what was promised.

Further away from town than it seems. Windy dirt road that were tough for those they drove sedans. Property looked like the pictures. Didn’t realize it backed up to a chicken farm, so that didn’t smell great. Stayed inside as much as possible. When we got there the Lockbox with key had been locked inside the home. Had to find another way in since owner didn’t respond then (had been responsive to questions leading up to the trip through). Had the number of beds listed, but didn’t realize some were tiny child size. Someone ended up sleeping on the floor instead. Place was clean, but had mice. Discovered that waking up the first morning and finding bread and potato chip bags had been chewed into. Could hear them running around under the oven the rest of the stay. Had to find creative ways to store food in the house (or left in cars)Stay was fine, all things considered, but going to look for a different venue next time.

Perfect for our weekend get-together!

This cabin was perfect for our trip to the mountains where we were able to connect with friends we haven’t seen for a while. It was big enough to house everyone Beth comfortably (we were going to have 14 but ended up having 12 people). The amenities were great, and the hot tub was huge! Our dogs were also welcomed with no fee which was so lovely.My only gripe is that I had no service at the cabin but that is typical for some of these north ha mountain cabins. Overall would 100% stay again and would recommend!

Large cabin in the woods.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is large and accommodating. Master on main with another queen bedroom on main. Four bedrooms on upper floor with shower. Two showers on main. The common area on the main floor is large with plenty of seating for visiting and eating with three dining tables. The cabin is stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment. The basement is large with washer/dryer, pool table, air hockey and basketball player. Lots of seating also. There is a fire pit outside as well as a drive around driveway. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

What we needed

Our stay was highly satisfactory, providing the perfect opportunity for our family to disconnect from technology and engage in meaningful interactions. Instead of being engrossed in their phones and video games, the younger members of our family actively participated in board and card games, as well as movie nights, with the older generation. The house was exceptionally spacious, ensuring that everyone had ample personal space. Although there was no mobile phone signal and the Wi-Fi connection was intermittent, we were able to adapt and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great cabin for a large group!

The cabin was in a beautiful location and had plenty of space for our group of 13. Could easily hold more if those in the group are comfortable sharing a bed. So many fun things to do in the cabin, such as pool, air hockey, hot tub, chess board, and large dvd collection. WiFi was a little slow, but that was expected given the location. There is a chicken farm nearby, and produces a slight smell while outdoors. No fault to the owner, just something to know about the location. The only negative was a leaky kitchen sink that was a little frustrating. Overall, a wonderful stay that I would highly recommend!
