Impresionantes vistas al mar, idílica playa para nadar, kayak, pesca y buceo.

Cocina abierta / comedor y salón. Las puertas del apilador en el salón se abren al porche y al hermoso jardín. Hay una casa de lectura / sombra estilo bure en la esquina del jardín, y también un mini patio de aventuras para los niños con barras de mono, poste de bomberos, muro de escalada y red.

Sólo una hora en coche de Gisborne.

Two night Retreat

Lovely two days relaxing, particularly as one day rained all day. Obviously the owners use it and are willing to share everything with guests, just hope no one rips them off as they appear very generous. If had any suggestions would be 1 advise guests there is a real coffee machine so they can bring ground coffee. 2/ the lounge furniture isn’t very comfortable and the Tv is at such an angle it hurts to watch with a turned head. Obviously it is being done up as they can. Would loved to have used the pizza oven but not there long enough. Thank you for sharing

Relaxing stay in a special place.

The house was perfect—lovely sea views from two of the bedrooms. The garden was beautifully planted and provided a sheltered spot to sit and enjoy the sun. If you want somewhere off the beaten track this spot is as good as it gets.

Spoilt in Tokomaru Bay

Wow wow wow. The house was in prime location for sand and surf. House was well resourced in all areas. Minor paint work on some areas would make it 10/10. Great for families and the games came in handy on rainy day.

We’ll be back!

Such an amazing spot! A simple kiwi Bach but has everything you need, with incredible views from the main living area and 2 of the bedrooms. Easy to communicate with the owners. We definitely hope to stay here again soon

What a fantastic spot. A short walk to the shop and takeaway, and the house has everything you need for a couple or family. Spectacular sunrises.

Great beach stay

The stay was excellent. It is not usual to find a property that is so close to the beach and is reasonably secluded. The house is in good shape and we loved keeping the doors open to the outside. The sounds of the surf were great. The kitchen has most everything needed.

Jody is a great host, her communication is great, and found her to be very accommodating. For the purpose that we booked it for, it is in a great location, with amenities close by for our men to get food and shop if they needed too.

The Perfect Kiwi Bach

I've lived in NZ my whole life, and stayed in literally hundreds of baches and this beautiful abode ticks every box. Situated on a quiet street with serene views of the ocean, and 24/7 sounds of crashing waves, this bach embodies kiwiana to T. The kitchen is easily the most important room of any bach and this one does not disappoint. Well equipped with a two story oven, 4 burner induction stove and with cookware a step above the usual motley collection found in your average kiwi bach. The bedrooms are perfectly decent with good lighting, and plenty of space, with a particularly lovely view from the master. The shower was hot and with good pressure, though no fan in the bathroom did make things particularly steamy. But if it hadn't been the dead of winter during my stay I could've easily opened a window and had no issues. The living room was comfortable and spacious - I was particularly fond of the bean bag which, once adorned with pillows, became my napping throne, and one night, my bed. The true gem of this bach though, is the backyard. Sporting a serene rock garden, a wood fired pizza oven, and a large entertaining table, this yard was an absolute delight to be in. Soaking in the sun, with perfect views of crashing waves - it is a little slice of heaven. Tokomaru Bay itself is a perfect NZ town. A well stocked 4 square and a fantastic cafe (with the best mince and cheese pie I've ever eaten). I loved my time here, and look forward to returning.

Getaway Christmas to relax and enjoy a bit of paradise NZ with family

Beautiful location overlooking the beach and sea, peaceful. Quick walk to the beach for swimming, my son fished off the beach and caught a kahawai which was cooked for lunch on home BBQ, lovely walks along the beach. Well set up home and very comfortable. Just what we needed. Visited ruins, loved local art gallery and cafe where we had excellent coffee and great pies in indoor-outdoor rustic-chic chilled, friendly place.

A house of tranquility indeed.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. Truly a stunning place to stay. Really well equipped for foodies who enjoy cooking with gorgeous outside space just across a very quiet road from the beach. Surf kayaks as well for those adventurous types and kids. Location is very peaceful with only the 4 square and a cafe open when we stayed so come prepared. Not somewhere to stay if you want bright lights and beach bars but perfect for those seeking rest and tranquility or quality family time.

Wonderful

The check in was just as instructed via Gmail so easy, the house is perfectly situated and wonderfully spacious,very comfortable bedding in rooms with large windows that give you a lovely view of the ocean love how the kitchen opens up to the dining area with the slide door you can open up to the full view of the ocean while also getting all that beautiful sea breeze. It's a rating of 100 out of 100 from me and my family absolutely perfect, simply pardise🥰😍👌
