La cabina del jardín se encuentra en un hermoso jardín con su propia terraza cubierta y muebles de exterior.
Tiene una bonita habitación soleada con una cama doble y una cama individual.
Hay una cocina compartida separada equipada con comedor y barbacoa.
Hay un baño y un aseo compartidos separados cerca.
También hay una gran cúpula geodésica compartida para usar como una sala de estar adicional cercana.
Se suministra una zona de limpieza de pescado.
A 10 minutos a pie de la playa y a 15 minutos a pie del muelle de Okupu, que es bueno para la pesca.

Dome Cabin es soleado y privado con 2 dormitorios, iluminación solar de 12 voltios y una terraza exterior con muebles.
El sistema de energía es solar, también 240AC para cargar teléfonos, etc., también hay mucha agua de manantial.
Un gran domo geodésico está disponible para espacio de vida adicional cerca.
El baño está separado con 2 inodoros, 2 duchas y cocina y comedor equipados con terraza exterior cubierta, barbacoa y muebles.
Todo está situado muy cerca con un bonito césped para acampar extra.
Hay un huerto orgánico cerca y gallinas para los huevos, por favor pregunte si los necesita, ya que solo se puede comprar en temporada.

Very relaxing, peaceful and beautiful place to stay

My family and I very much enjoyed our few days staying in the Dome cabin at Nikki's place. The rooms were exactly as advertised, clean comfortable and an awesome location. Nikki was super helpful and patient for us and made our stay exactly what we wanted. This is a perfect place to spend relaxing days and re-connect with your family; and we would love to come back next year and spend a longer time here and explore the rest of the island.

The geodesic dome needs to be put out to pasture

Nikki was a nice host who tried her best to be accommodating but unfortunately her geodesic dome is no longer what she perceives it to be. We had 2 families staying for a rainy week over the easter holidays. Nikki had reassured us that her place could accommodate our number which included sleeping people inside her geodesic dome. This was simply not true. The dome is no longer fit for habitation. It has multiple leaks as the ceiling is made of plastic. We ran out of buckets to catch the water when the rain was at its worst and as a result we didn't have a place to socialize and had to sleep some of the group in tents despite us choosing this accommodation to avoid having to camp for the week. Nikki indicated that this is a new problem but there was mould growing on the floor so I'm not sure that this is the case. I suspect that with long periods of sunny weather over the summer, this has enabled the dome to be used without such issues for the most part but it really needs to be taken out of consideration when thinking about accommodation. When it became apparent that this was a disaster, Nikki did find us alternative accommodation in a property she had further up the hill which was much better. She was always friendly and tried to be accommodating but unfortunately the damage to our holiday had already been done. The positives were that the kitchen area is reasonable and the garden and dome lodgings are good for 2 (in the garden) and 6 (in the dome lodge - separate building to the actual dome) people. There was hot water and good gas and power throughout. Signal down the driveway for occasional calls. The location was also a bit further from the beach or wharf than we realised. We had been told 300m away from the beach but although you could jump a fence and head down to the water from the end of the driveway, the actual beaches were over a km away. Great Barrier is a beautiful place but when it rains, if you need somewhere warm and dry to base yourselves, I wouldn't reccommend the geodesic dome.

Sunbeam Sanctuary

Amazing location with plenty of extras. Overall very basic but that’s Great Barrier with no power grid the Sunbeam Sanctuary has solar and hydro systems. Plenty of space for kids to run around and the host let us rent the truck for the week with easy access to beaches and airport. We’ll be back!

SUPER AMAZING SPACE

We had the best experience, actually my birthday was wet however we managed to have a relaxing time. The service was very pleasant Nicki was so amazing to deal with, and Im so glad to have connected with her and enjoy such a sanctuary. Very impressed she even shared some organic veges from her garden and was so kind and generous! Absolute Sweetheart x

Bird song and a bubbling stream

It’s slightly more rustic than what the photos may imply, and the 2 rooms were really one room with a partition - but it was clean, warm, and everything worked. Communication was great although there’s not great reception on the property haha. Cheers

Quick stay

The place is great and very nice to stay in. Nikki was very welcoming although we only met for a short intro. We had an issue with bookabach as there’s little signal but overcame that. Would have loved more time to enjoy the property - next time! Thank you Nikki

Very peaceful and relaxing, but remote from hikes

The property itself is a lovely set up, very relaxing with different areas for sleeping, eating, washing and a delicious vegetable garden and free range hens, which were available to us to pick vegetables and get eggs from for a $20 fee, but the location is very remote and as we did not have a car, we could not get to any of the major hikes. We were offered a car by our host before we came, but when we arrived it did not have a current Wof and needed repairs. We spent our stay on the beach and hiking up and down the little Sunbeam Creek that runs right past the property, which was lovely, but it was very annoying indeed not having transport to the major hikes up in the North of Great Barrier where we really wanted to go.
