Tranquil and scenic family friendly 2 bedroom Cottage & Farm Stay near York WA

2-Bedroom cottage sleeping up to four people. The main bedroom has a Queen bed and built-in cupboard, and the 2'nd bedroom has 2 single beds also with a built in cupboard. Lovely and quiet rural setting only 4 km from the town of York, located on a sealed road and away from any main roads. Self catering with all facilities provided. AC, linen and towels included, kitchen equipment and crockery /cutlery. Kitchen with gas stove, micro wave and fridge/freezer. Bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Lounge with 4 recliners, TV, books and games. Dining room table with 6 chairs. We offer special interaction experiences with tame farm animals - such as sheep, chooks and cats. Wake up with birds songs and fresh air. Hop on your bicycle or go for a walk on the back road. Or relax with a book or puzzle on the covered porch. The cottage has a covered porch where there are 4 chairs, a table and a gas BBQ. Parking for a single vehicle in an undercover carport, and more parking is available without cover on the side of the cottage. Behind the cottage we have a beautiful fire pit and a table and seating for 4 guests and we provide wood (when fire is permitted).The surrounding York area offers scenic farm land and all the cultural activities regularly offered in York, as well as lovely historical buildings, museums, restaurants, pubs, cafe's, arts and many more. Behind the cottage we have 2 powered caravan stands (self sustained). Sorry no pets (because of the farm animals).

We loved our stay. Our 1yo loved feeding the sheep and watching the chickens and guinea fowl. One of the cats spent a lot of time chasing him around for pats. The cottage was cozy and AC worked wonders considering the 42 degree heat outside. Hosts are lovely and friendly

The place was lovely but not to suitable for the elderly, which the owner picked on which was good Bit disappointing being so close the owner and she made herself a bit intrusive from the start and overstayed her welcome and our departure. Hanging around inside with us

Wow!! Where do I start. My family had the best 3 days, days and nights of peace and tranquility, plus so much to do.David and Lizette open their farm to you. There are chickens to feed , eggs to collect and sheep to feed. So much for city kids to have a glimpse of country life.Night times are perfect with the outside fire burning and toasting marshmallows or there are lots of board games to play.York is 6 minutes away so plenty of opportunity to learn about the history of the town and a local IGA to pick up forgotten items.A great way to spend 3 days only 90 minutes from Perth.

Unbelievable place to stay. David and Lizette were so kind and accommodating. Nothing was too hard. Beautiful people. The kids absolutely loved the freedom of the property., feeding sheep and pats with Teesa the cat. Location is on point. Beautiful hosts, our toddler loved feeding the sheep. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. The cottage has everything that you need. We especially found the bed super comfortable. Really recommend this stay to anyone considering it.

Lovely farm stay . Feeding the sheep and chickens our grandchildren of 5 and 3 really enjoyed it especially the marshmallows cooked on the fire pit. Not far from the town of York with lots to see there too

Lovely location, relaxing stay

Magical Farm Stay with Warm Hospitality

We had a very memorable farm stay at Lizette’s property. From the moment we arrived, Lizette was a wonderful host—warm, welcoming, and passionate about sharing her farm with guests. She gave us a personal tour, introducing us to all her sheep, and we had the chance to pat and feed them. We were especially lucky to visit during lambing season, with seven newborn lambs on the farm—two of which were born while we were there!Lottie the sheep, and Tessa the resident farm cat, quickly became an our four legged friends. They were both super friendly and always ready for a pat.The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, perfectly set up with everything we needed. The beds were lovely and warm, made even better with electric blankets for the chilly nights. We loved relaxing in the reclining lounge chairs, and there were plenty of games and books to keep us entertained.Overall, this was a fantastic family-friendly escape with thoughtful touches throughout. We highly recommend Lizette’s farm stay for anyone looking for a peaceful rural getaway with genuine hospitality and plenty of hands-on animal experiences.
