Happy to hear you had a good time. Thanks for the feedback, I did get the two chairs repaired. The BBQ is very difficult to maintain, I’m considering removing it all together.

Hi Kristy, I’m happy to know my place worked well for your stay. There is a large AC unit manual operation in the attic. I will be replacing the skylight & West window this summer.

Steep stairs is common in older homes. This Historical home was built in 1913 one 10 built by the same builder known as the 10 commandments. I invest a lot of effort into my place to share with the guests I host! I do hope you get to experience more furnished homes. If you do, please take more care in checkout. It’s much different than a hotel stay.

Hi Rebecca. I’m happy the house worked for you! You were a large group. The chair legs do come loose we tighten them on a regular basis but must have missed one.

Tara it’s too bad the weather was so poor for you during your performances at the Ex. It must have made flame 🔥 juggling challenging. As for your review I’d like to address & clarify a few things. Reviews can be helpful for hosts but many of the items you mention cannot be changed & others seem vague & manageable since I was never contacted . My home was built in 1913 (Historic) the stairs are what they are! Can’t be changed. There are Pics of these posted in description. There are built in shelves on all 3 sides of the stairwell to prevent falls. There is less than 2’ from the roof line to the opening of the staircase. My hands contact the wall & the shelving unit to turn down into the stairwell. Even if you chose to walk in the dark you would bump the shelves or the wall (sloped) roof line to cross the room. Kids love this space & many many guests have found it very fun & comfortable! I’m so sorry it was not what you envisioned or found comfortable. Had you contacted me I would have sent my repair person to show you how to open the windows. They work just fine. I’m sorry you couldn’t open them. A guest wrecked the track in the primary bedroom 2nd floor so it slides up & down loosely but does work. The porch is not insulated so hot in summer & cold in winter and is partially a storage space on the South side, as is the basement, neither of these spaces are reflected in the price. It is a point of entry or pass through into the front of the home. However, it is much more convenient to enter into the home through the back door with pull up parking as you discovered. Also, the front street is so congested with parking only on my side of the street & the spaces go quickly. Additionally the boulevard can make for a long journey to the front door with no guarantee you can park close to the house. My rates are very competitive & my Historic Character home is not for everyone. I suggest the next time you are not happy with your rental on VRBO you change homes rather than staying & exacerbating situations you found unpleasant in a review. Bed comfort is personal & no other guest has mentioned this., but I will keep it in mind. The other 3 beds are not mentioned so I’m assuming they were acceptable. Cleaning protocols are strictly followed to ensure clean & disinfected spaces. The mustiness eludes me. However, weather changes from heat to cool & rainy as it did before you arrived & this may have caused a closed up odour in the room. Previous guests checked out 2 days prior to your arrival with no issues. That space also has its own AC unit which can cause a mustiness. It’s a good thing there are 3 opening windows up there - 1 of which you say was not working? Dusty curtains & a musty bed? I should have been notified immediately, I was not at any time during your 4 night stay. I’m new to this App and I’ll look into my description to ensure accuracy. Although in defence of my home & maintenance I am rated as a Super Host on another app. Many of my repeat guests book a year in advance of their event to save the date at my place! I do hope you find suitable lodging next time you visit Moose Jaw.
