Montana Getaway with mountain views

Enjoy a peaceful Montana getaway with views of the Madison Range. We are situated on three acres where there is the main house and a garage with a unit above that is our guest house. Our guest house features a full kitchen, everything you need to eat in, a great place to rest after exploring the area. We are 2.5 miles to town center where you can find unique shopping and dining, 14 miles to the historic Virginia City, 10 miles to Ennis Lake, and 74 miles to West Yellowstone.

Our guest house is in the upper level of a garage, 900 sf 2 bed 2 bath with a full kitchen. Beautiful Views all around and a good chance you may see Mule Deer and Antelope make their way through the property. We provide coffee, tea, dry creamer and sugar to get your day started and when available, offer eggs from our free range chickens if you would like them!
We don't mind if you bring your dog, but be aware we have chickens, a friendly Lab and a cat. if your dog likes to chase, please keep on a leash. And always pick up after your pet!

The entire unit

We live right next door and I am always available by call or text and am there to help with any questions from the accommodations to our favorite places in the surrounding area.

We love our neighborhood as it is quiet and friendly and so close to town. Ennis offers wonderful amenities such as amazing art galleries, some home town cooking restaurants, park and access to the Madison river for fishing or floating.

having a vehicle is recommended since we don't have public transportation. there is a great walking trail that goes into town from where we are.

Beautiful views and tons of wildlife

Krystal was fantastic in following up before, during after our stay. The location was very convenient for fly fishing and sightseeing. Highly recommend this property.

My husband and I stayed here in between our Yellowstone hiking trips and his elk hunting trip. This was the absolute perfect place for us to reset and regroup before he continued on with hunting and I flew home! Every tiny detail has been thought of and included. we had all the comforts of feeling like we were home. We are so thankful we found the carriage house. 10/10 recommend!

Rooms with a mountain view

The property is tastefully decorated, very clean, comfortable, well equipped, and has a beautiful view of the mountains. Loved being greeted by a super friendly dog excited to show off his stick! The hosts were very responsive and helpful whenever we had a question.

Sept. Trout fishing trip

Property is in very good condition. Kitchen is well supplied and easy to work in. Outside deck was great for wild life viewing and star gazing. Hosts are on same property and friendly and accessible.

Fly fishing trip

Property was exactly as listed. Enjoyed being able to fish the nearby Madison River. Kitchen was well appointed and offer us the ability to have meals when needed. Great location 5 minutes from town yet great views and wildlife. Highly recommend.

Great stay near Ennis

Great view of the valley and mountains from the spacious deck. Off the busy roads, quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room with comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen was stocked with all the pans, plates, cups, etc needed. Krystal was very responsive and went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of.

Truly amazing

This is an amazing property if you need to stay in this area. Spacious, bright with large windows and clean. Anything you could need. 2 large bathrooms. The view is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Great homebase!

Everything was just perfect for our fly fishing getaway in the Madison Valley. Krystal’s apartment afforded plenty of privacy, amazing views and was clean and modern with a very “Montana” feel. We day tripped from here to various spots on the Madison from 10 to 45 mins away and enjoyed dinner each night in the small town of Ennis. Recommend!

Hope to be back someday!

This place was perfect for our family of 5, traveling to Yellowstone, which was a beautiful hour-long drive. The space was abundant for us to all to relax or congregate. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus! The property was very nicely decorated, with new appliances that came in handy for making snacks & meals. Krystal was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met. We hope to be back again in the future!

Perfect!

This was the perfect property for our family of six. The space was ideal and nicely decorated, the views were great, and the location worked so well for our several day trips. Loved having the two bathrooms as well. Although we didn’t rest long enough to utilize the deck, it would be the perfect spot to view the sunrise while drinking your coffee or just relaxing in the evening! Loved our stay! Thank you!

Perfect Stay in Ennis

We left Houston, Tx on 6/6/23 for a 2.5 week road trip and visited 3 National Parks: Grand Canyon, Arches & Yellowstone. Thats alot of miles and alot of hotels & VRBOs along the way. We have high expectations for lodging and The Carriage House in Ennis far exceeded those expectations! The property was beautifully appointed and spotless. The owner has anticipated everything a traveler may need. We prepared most of our meals and the kitchen is fully equipped. The views of the mountains are spectacular. Fantastic experience...cant wait to come back!

Nice place

I rented this unit on 2 different occasions for a job my company was doing in Ennis. Krystal was great to work with and my guys all enjoyed their stay. They said it was much better than a hotel.

Hi! We are Latimer and Krystal! Latimer, originally from Maine, came out to Big Sky MT the winter of 2006 to chase the snow. Planning to only stay the winter, he never left! The things that kept him here were snowboarding, hiking, hunting and fishing.
Krystal, originally from Maryland, moved to Montana as a child with her family and grew up in the Bozeman Area. She loves hiking and snowboarding, also sourdough baking and sewing.
We love to get outside with our two littles. We love to spend time at the lake or in the mountains or gardening at home. We are a homeschool family and take any opportunity possible for adventure and learning with them.

Shortly after deciding to move here to Ennis we found this beautiful piece of land that was perfect for us in so many ways. We waited a year to begin building our house and in the mean time we would bring a picnic lunch and sit out in the field just dreaming about what it would be. We broke ground on the due date of our first child! She was late so we watched them dig, laughing about how we'd never forget the date because of this. 4 years later we decided to pull the trigger on our long awaited plans for an ADU. This guest house is the result! We absolutely love our little place and town and hope you will too.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love the floor plan as its simple yet spacious and everywhere you turn there is a view out a huge window. the sun pours in for that uplifting light in the winter or let a cross breeze through in the summer. And don't forget to catch a glimpse of the deer and Antelope that come through nearly each morning and evening.
