Very beautiful place, could do with a good dusting and a bit more bedding and towels.

We rented this property for our small wedding and it was everything we could have asked for. The property was perfect for our outside autumn wedding and having the ballroom was perfect for when it was time to eat and the temperature dropped.Daisy was amazing to work with and let us come and view the property twice before our day.Only thing I would mention is the beds, especially the master, were very hard. Would recommend maybe a mattress topper.Overall this home was everything we could have wanted for our special day and we highly recommend for either a small gathering or just a lovely stay with your nearest and dearest.

Absolutely amazing property!

This was the perfect location for my daughter's birthday weekend. The house was warm and welcoming with every bedroom well thought out. The pool and spa pool were both very clean and well taken care of. Great communication by the property manager. Will definitely book again (and again!). The perfect retreat while still being close to cafes, supermarket and more.

Lovely place for a wedding morning

We booked this place before there were many photos up. We were so impressed when we arrived by how beautiful the house was. I almost wish we were staying for longer. The rooms were massive, the house itself was huge, with so much space that the 8 adults we had in there kept losing each other in random rooms. Heaps of space in the kitchen for communal meals. There were plenty of activities with the spa, pool, pool table, pinball machine. The projector screen was really neat and meant there wasn't a big ugly TV in our photos.Really close to vineyards and wedding venues, a great place to stay with friends.

It was a pleasure hosting you and your group, and we’d love to have you back anytime (hopefully for a longer stay next time!). All the best, Daisy

1st Birthday Weekend Getaway

Beautiful would be a understatement. We really loved our stay here, so much that we didn’t want to check out and instead extend our stay. Daisys home was perfect for my daughters 1st Birthday weekend. Plenty of beds, space and activites for the kids to have fun and keep busy. Pool and spa would probably have been the highlight of our stay, even though we booked during winter. House is quite isolated, so you really get the country side feeling with all the land, trees and animals (sheep, pigs). Daisy was the best host, had no problems. She was a great help in ensuring my daughters day ran smoothly. Would highly recommend this home to anyone.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so happy to hear the house was a perfect spot for your daughter’s 1st birthday—what a special milestone to celebrate! It’s great that the kids had fun and you all got to enjoy the pool and spa, even in winter. I’m really glad I could help make the weekend go smoothly for you—was a pleasure to host your family! You’re welcome back anytime for another relaxing getaway. Warm wishes, Daisy

The property is gorgeous! Daisy was very prompt with all communication. The pool, spa, games room and home theatre space were all big highlights for us. There are so many rooms in the house, so a lot of space to spreadout. Plenty of parking too.The home has some improvements that could be made - general maintenance of items such as the air hockey table, dining chairs, outdoor furniture, window frames as a number were broken or breaking. It would be great to have more supplies available such as pool towels, fly spray, more toilet paper and enough bath towels for the number of guests staying. The spa pool is a safety concern as it does not have a lockable cover. The feedback on the beds was that they were very, very, very hard and very uncomfortable to sleep on. If the beds could be ungraded this would make a huge difference. The house is very grand, and with a few improvements to comfort it would be amazing to stay again. A great spot for large groups attending nearby events.

Amazing location - hidden in the middle of what feels like nowhere but is acyually 30m from central Auckland and 5m from Kumeu, which has pretty much everything you need in terms of supplies. The property is huge, and has a shed load of things to keep you occupied. the standouts where the spa and the games room. Didn't use the pool as it was the middle of winter. Some things that could be better - a few things didn't work: the fire in the kitchen was out of action, the oven didn't work, and none of the fire lighting equipment was operational. The kitchen equipment isn't as complete as it could be for such a large property, and the toiletries are all basic, which given the luxury listing, felt a little odd. There are also zero basics - no oil, salt, pepper etc, which again feels a little cheap They do mention this in the listing however, so it's not like you'll turn up and be surprised.Other than that - and none of this put a dent in what was a lovely stay with friends - highly recommend the place. Check in is super easy, and the place really is lovely.
