Kookaburra’s perch is a Tiny House situated amongst the trees, just a stone’s throw to the Yarra River on the outskirts of the quaint township of Millgrove.

Wake to the sound of bird song while immersed in nature and the native wildlife that surrounds you, feel the stress melt away. Enjoy a cycle or hike on the famous Warburton Trail, head into town or simply relax on the sofa with a good book or game.

This dog friendly Tiny House is a perfect secluded escape for couples, singles or a couple of mates.

This brand new locally designed and built Tiny House is equipped with a kitchen featuring electric oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher and coffee machine.

The lounge room has a two-seater sofa, which allows you to kick back in front of the TV and binge on your favourite streaming service.

A Queen-sized bedroom is located up the stairs in the loft. And the pullout sofa in the lounge makes for an extra bed for a friend or the kids.

A split-system unit keeps this tiny house cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

The bathroom includes a Green Loo odour-free and guest-maintenance-free dry composting (waterless) toilet and full-size shower with excellent hot water.

An ergonomic desk and fast internet is provided for those who like to work remotely. This desk can be adjusted and doubles as a dining area. Whether working remotely or enjoying a lovely meal, you will gaze out of the picture window that overlooks the eucalypts and surrounding area being revegetated with indigenous plants.

Our guests enjoy the entire, fully-fenced and dog-friendly, block to themselves, ensuring total privacy during your stay. An outdoor setting means you can sit outside and watch the birds with a drink in hand and enjoying the peaceful surrounds.

Kookaburras perch supports an eco-friendly lifestyle with a dry compost toilet and full off-grid power system, with mains backup, meaning you’ll never run out. The Tiny House is fully insulated and double glazed to keep heating/cooling needs to a minimum.

Please note: We welcome dogs to stay at the property with you, however, guests must obtain pre-approval and pay a pet surcharge for each pet that they wish to bring with them to the venue. Once the approval is made and the pet surcharge is paid, a Pet Approval Code will be issued and must be provided in your check-in form. No pets are permitted at the venue without a Pet Approval Code. The pet surcharge covers additional set-up costs prior to guest arrival and a standard commercial pet cleaning service. We do not cater for cats, rabbits, ferrets or birds.
