The Space:

Brookie Box by Tiny Away sits in the quiet tiny house in Myrrhee, near the rural city of Wangaratta—a region known for its notable wineries, charming historic architecture, and easy access to the Ovens and King Rivers, as well as the stunning Alpine National Park.



This farm stay is situated beside 15 Mile Creek, in a private part of the Brookfield Maze site. The front deck frames stunning sunrises and sunsets, casting warm hues over the surrounding hills. Just steps away, a charming garden and a fun hedge maze, perfect for exploring, stargazing, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of nature.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



IMPORTANT NOTE: We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 PM, to help maintain a peaceful atmosphere for everyone.



Occasionally, hot air balloons may be launched from the same paddock as the tiny home. If a launch is scheduled during your stay, we’ll be sure to give you advance notice.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, including the gardens, maze, and the creek. Feel free to explore at your leisure!



Pool:



Please note that the pool is private and not for guest use. We kindly ask that you refrain from using it during your stay. Thank you for your understanding.



Maze Access:



We advise against entering the maze after dark due to the risk of becoming disoriented. If you'd like to explore the maze at dark, please notify hosts first.



The maze is closed for maintenance every February. During this time, guests are still welcome to visit the gardens, but please be aware that there may be maintenance work ongoing.



The Neighborhood:

Brookie Box by Tiny Away sits in the serene farm-stay countryside of Myrrhee, with Wangaratta as the nearest rural city. Benalla is just a 34-minute drive away, and Shepparton is around an hour further. Nearby attractions include Goldrush Ballooning, Brookfield Maze, William Hovell Dam, and Paradise Falls—nestled within the Alpine National Park near Cheshunt.



When you're ready to dine, explore the King Valley's local food scene with favourites like Hobbledehoy Café, The Mountain View Hotel, and King River Brewing, offering everything from relaxed meals to craft brews.



For a taste of the region's culture, visit local events like the Benalla Festival, celebrating arts and creativity, or the La Dolce Vita Festival, showcasing Italian heritage through wine, food, and community celebrations.



Getting Around:

By car:



- 32 mins drive from the town Wangaratta

- 34 mins drive from the small city Benalla

- 1 hr drive from the city of Shepparton

- 3 hrs drive from Melbourne along the Hume Freeway, see above for the nearest towns



Sealed road all the way to the property. The last 170m is on a gravel track.



By public transport:



- There is a regional train from Southern Cross station in Melbourne stopping in Benalla and Wangaratta.

- From Benalla it is a 30-minute drive to the maze and from Wangaratta, it is 45 mins. There is no public transport to the property but Wangaratta has taxis that will bring you here.



Other Things to Note:

- Mobile reception is limited to Telstra

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- No open fires and BBQ grills allowed during fire season

- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- There is an onsite cafe that opens at 10 am on weekends, school holidays, and public holidays

- The pool is private and not for guest use. Please refrain from using it during your stay. Thank you for your understanding.



Important note:



- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present.

- To maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost/ cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
