Small 1 bed apartment with panoramic rooftop access

Private apartment at the top of a tranquil community (favela), Morro do Tabajaras. 🪴 The apartment has a comfortable bed, bathroom, kitchen, living room and workspace. You have full access to a terrace with breathtaking views of Christ the Redeemer, Botafogo beach, Sugar Loaf, Niteroi & the bay. The apartment is nestled in the tropical forest, home to toucans, monkeys, and other tropical fauna. Your British host has a cat that sleeps all day in the garden! 🪴

🌺Located in a comunidade (favela), on a residential road. Vehicle access only to about 150m from the house, from there, there is a steep hill that can be accessed by motorcycle taxi or by foot. From the bottom of the comunidade on either side (Copacabana or Botafogo) it’s 10 minutes walking.

💼 If you packed heavy, this may not be the best option for you, as you will have to carry your bags up a steep 150m hill.

🌺 The house is a 10 minute walk from the affluent strip of Copacabana, boasting shops, grocery stores, cinema and beach. Easy access to the city, conveniently located near buses, taxis, motorcycle taxis, metro and the Santos Dumont airport. Only a 10 minute drive away from several main tourist attractions, including Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, Parque Lage, and the Botanical Gardens.

🥭There is a farmer’s market at the square in Bairro Peixoto every Wednesday, and an organic farmer’s market on Saturdays.

🌺Complimentary soap, toilet paper and washing up liquid provided upon arrival however guest will need to purchase their own thereafter.

🥋Private Jujutsu classes are available on your doorstep. Run by our local black belt, Iago Costa da Silva, who was trained by Mestre Helvecio a 17 times world champion (who also lives an 8 minute walk away and offers classes)
Private classes can take place on the rooftop or in the local gym 😊
