Luxury retreat for two beside the great lake.

The ideal location for a relaxing getaway, our spacious apartment is the perfect retreat for two. Enjoy privacy, gorgeous lake views, nature walks, onsite parking, and independent access off an extensive deck overlooking the lake. Entry is into a spacious lounge with kitchenette, fridge/freezer, dual hobs, dishwasher and microwave. The separate bedroom has a king-sized bed, wardrobe and bedroom furniture and opens out onto a timber deck and lawns. The adjacent bathroom has twin basins, toilet and a fully tiled shower. The whole apartment has underfloor heating for those cooler months. Your accommodation is located on the lower level of our home in Whakamoenga Park, a private gated community 10 km from Taupo CBD and 7 km from the Acacia Bay store and The Bay restaurant. Our guests are welcome to make the most of the communal facilities of gardens, bush walks, tennis courts, and lake access while respecting the natural environment and the privacy of local residents. Having travelled extensively we enjoy meeting fellow travelers. We are resident hosts, and available to advise you on things to do to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. French is also spoken.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is super clean and updated. The hosts were great and even provided a few breakfast items for us. We would definitely stay here again!

The host was very welcoming and friendly and made efforts to ensure she contacted us and knew how to find the place. She helped with local knowledge and ideas for restaurants, etc.

Loved our stay!

Great location, close enough to town while a bit off the beaten path. Very friendly, hospitable hosts. Beautiful, well-appointed, clean, newly built space in a lovely setting with incredible views and soothing birdsong. Highly recommend!

Amazing Private Experience

Beautiful Appartment, Great View, Luxury Bathroom and Heating. Enjoyed great walks around the private residence and some awesome moments at the hotpools and waterfront dinners.

We were warmly welcomed by Lynne and Jim from the very first moment and felt completely at home. The accommodation is very spacious and beautifully furnished, with an absolutely stunning view over Lake Taupo. Waking up to this view was truly special.We especially appreciated Lynne’s thoughtful gesture of leaving breakfast items in the fridge for our first morning — such a kind and generous touch. Unfortunately, our stay was far too short, and we would love to return one day.Communication with Lynne was excellent, and her recommendations for excursions were fantastic.

This apartment is a true piece of paradise! The view on the lake is amazing and the furnishings is just super elegant and absolutely beautiful.There’s so much space and everything is brand new.Beside enjoying this wonderful location Lynne and Jim are the most loveliest landlords They made our stay even more special.We really enjoyed our time and we were so sad when we had to leave this lovely place.It’s definitely a 100% recommendation!If you visits Lake Taupō you cannot find a nice place to stay. We even had a great tenniscourt that we could use

This apartment is amazing. Hot tub and stargazing with so little light pollution away from the city! This apartment is truly luxury, views to die for. You come here to disconnect. Taupō centre is only 15 mins away

Everything you need and more

Amazing place that I'd recommend! The bathroom and showers are a highlight (I rank a good bathroom high in search criteria). The beds are comfortable with incredible views to wake up to. Lots of amenities and thoughtful little touches e.g. good storage for clothes, basic ingredients in the kitchenette, extra tea towels in kitchen. And there's more! Lynne and her husband are great hosts, friendly with great communication and gave us a heads up anout restaurants being busy due to the iron man competition. Thanks for a great stay!

Das Haus liegt in einem abgeschlossenen Refugium mit mehreren Häusern, etwas außerhalb von Taupo. Perfekter geht es nicht. Wir wurden mit aller Herzlichkeit von Lynn und James begrüßt. Das Haus mit dem Blick auf den See - ein Traum. Innen alles sehr edel, hochwertig und liebevoll ausgestattet. Dazu gab es viele kleine Gastgeschenke von unseren Vermietern. Ein kleines Highlight, der tolle Whirlpool mit dem Blick auf den See. Wir haben tatsächlich nichts vermisst. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.
