Kookaburra Cottage is spacious, clean, quiet, private and immaculately maintained with generous and thoughtful kitchen extras, super comfy beds and lovely linen. Two balconies for outdoor eating and a great bbq. A stone's throw from Putty and Lobster Beaches. Highly recommended.

This is a comfortable and attractively decorated home in a beautiful tranquil setting. We loved the stone work in the shower that provided a great foot massage. The hosts were very helpful with local knowledge questions and gave great recommendations when asked.

Very good communication. The house is very comfortable with good bedrooms and furnishing. Spotlessly clean and nice touches provided by the host, including bread, and fruit bowl. Outdoor deck area is great for breakfast.

The property has a welcome feel with lots of provisions. Fresh ground coffee and snacks.Air conditioner for heating worked really well in the cold weather. Over all a really enjoyable atmosphere about the cottage.

My partner and I recently spent four wonderful nights at this tranquil and charming cottage, and it was truly a magical experience. Nestled in nature, the peaceful surroundings and soothing sounds of wildlife made our stay incredibly grounding and rejuvenating.From the moment we arrived,Theresa and Marc were fantastic hosts—easy to communicate with . I’m quite particular and fussy about where I stay, and it’s rare to find a place that I can wholeheartedly enjoy without any reservations. This cottage was definitely one of those special places. My partner usually waits for me to point out any negatives, but this time, there simply weren’t any.Every detail of the cottage shows how much care Theresa and Marc have put into creating a warm and inviting space. It’s quaint, beautifully maintained, and stocked with everything you could possibly need—there were chocolates, a big bowl of fresh fruit including grapes, plenty of milk, butter, bread, and more. Honestly, you don’t need to bring anything but yourself to enjoy the stay.I’m extremely grateful to Theresa and Marc for sharing their little haven with us. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to reconnect with nature and unwind, I can’t recommend this place enough. TheThe only slight downside is that pets aren’t allowed. While I don’t have a dog now, I dream of having a little King Charles Cavalier or a poodle one day, so it would have been nice to bring a furry friend along in the future.

Overnight stay

Our Stayz was only for one night and we did see the website to know that the home was beautifully decked out in antique furniture and period fitting pieces but when opening the cupboards and seeing even the plates were period fitting, etc. was such a beautiful touch. And so were the added extras that you never usually see at a Stayz included fresh fruit in the fridge along with fresh milk, butter, and condiments also a fresh loaf of sourdough on the kitchen bench, and there were chocolates!!!!! just perfect as was the cleanliness of the House and property. If there was to be any fault, the lack of Wi-Fi was disappointing, but hopefully an easy fix. Thank you for a touch of history

Lovely peaceful place

A quick overnight stay; would have liked to have stayed longer. The cottage is lovely and in a beautiful peaceful quiet place, definitely heard plenty of kookaburras at dusk. I loved the mid 20th century decor and furnishings. Everything was comfortable, just a great place to spend a night or a week.

We live on the beautiful central coast and renovated this cottage on our property for holiday enjoyment. We are new to hosting and are happy to meet and greet and leave you to enjoy your stay.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The cottage is located in a quiet semi-rural area minutes to everything the coast has to offer. Fantastic bushwalking, water sports, dining, casual and a la carte. Wonderful day trips and family outings like kayaking, horse riding, fishing, boating, ice skating, movies and our fantastic reptile park are easily accessed.

Our cottage is special because it was the original farmhouse in the area and has been lovingly restored. The setting is peaceful and relaxing.
