Sitting on a private estate of 114 acres with 2250 feet of waterfront on the Ottawa river, this recently built cottage is 100% ''off the grid''. Whether you wish to enjoy long walk in the woods, observe wildlife, go fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling or... simply kick back and relax in this calm and stylish space away from busy city life.
The choice is yours !
- Very secluded and quiet place
- Well over 4 KM of trails
- Access to a dock
- Two municipal boat ramps are less than 2 KM away
- Great walleye, bass, pike, musky and sturgeon fishing
- Access to 2 kayaks and one small fishing boat
- 6 pairs of snowshoes available

- Bird watchers will appreciate seeing a huge diversity of water fowl species and birds of prey such as hawks, owls, osprey, turkey vultures, bald

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was very quiet so allowed us to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We enjoyed exploring the trails. Our dog loved it too! The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay, it’s clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Louis’ chalet in Quebec! The space was incredibly clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown in the photos—with one exception: the view was EVEN BETTER in person!Louis was an amazing host—welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The chalet was equipped with everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves and clear instructions if needed which made the whole experience easy and comfortable.We especially loved getting out on the water and kayaking in such BEAUTIFUL surroundings...it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.Beautiful location, wonderful accommodations, and a fantastic host. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Louis’ chalet, and we would happily stay again! In fact, we have already rebooked for next year.

This is a lovely spot! We had a winter experience to add to our summer stay earlier this year. Beautiful vistas and a very serene setting, with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Perfection!

House was wonderful and had beautiful views over the river. Having boats to use was a huge bonus for us as we spent a lot of time on the river fishing. Host was VERY HELPFUL getting us set up and ready for the week.House is off grid, so we did need to refill the generator with gasoline after using it when the batteries were depleted, but I did not mind it as he has all the supplies to make that process as easy as possible. I just checked it once a day and topped it off when needed.Wi-Fi was reliable and fast.Kitchen was fully supplied and had pretty much any pan or tool you would need, just bring the food!Lots to do nearby with ziplines, white water rafting, hiking, etc.Highly recommended! Would stay again, 100%!

This is a lovely property and the host is excellent. We had three generations of family (20s, 50s and 80s) and all had a great time.The chalet has everything you need, including space for everyone and a very usable kitchen and food preparation area. The night sky was beautiful. We look forward to returning to enjoy the fall colours.Great time and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic stay!

We had a fantastic family stay! The property was exactly what we were hoping for — peaceful, modern, and private, with plenty of space for our dog to run and a great view. We really appreciated the personal check-in and the tour of the waterfront trail and property boundaries.Days were spent paddling and swimming with the provided kayaks, exploring nearby towns, whitewater rafting, and relaxing with movie nights and campfires. The house was spotless and well-equipped.Just a note: the walk to the water takes about 8 minutes and the return is uphill — not a problem for us, but good to know.Highly recommend this property, and we hope to return if it’s still available!

We had such an amazing time here. The place is huge—114 acres—and completely private, which was exactly what we were looking for. We walked the trails every morning, and our dog was living her best life just running around and exploring. The view of the Ottawa River from the chalet is beautiful, and the whole property just feels completely peaceful and quiet.The chalet was spotless and had everything we needed. It felt like a real home, not just a rental. On the really hot days it was nice to step inside to cool down for a bit, but most of the time we were outside kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing by the water. We saw deer every day, along with wild turkeys, turkey vultures, and even bald eagles, which was amazing to see.Louis, the owner, was a real stand-out. He was extremely attentive, easy to talk to and even gave us a personal tour of the property, which made it easy to find all the trails and the best spots to check out.If you want total privacy, lots of space, and a quiet place to enjoy nature without giving up the comforts of home, this place is perfect. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10.

Le site est parfait pour les amateurs de plein-air, kayak, randonnée. Le gîte est très bien aménagé et la vue de la rivière est magnifique. L’hôte a été de bons conseils et a répondu à nos question rapidement. La seule petite amélioration serait d’avoir du bois fendu pour le foyer extérieur pour en profiter davantage. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter.

We purchased the property back in 2015 and built this ''off the grid'' cottage in 2022-23. The view is incredible as the cottage is 150 feet up above the Ottawa river. It is very secluded and just under 1/2 KM away from the street.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This is no just a cottage, it provides access to a very large property right on the water and with the possibility to walk on over 4 KM of trails to enjoy watching the wild life.
