The Space

This modern mountain retreat is designed for relaxation, fun, and making memories. With five spacious bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, Stone Hill House provides the perfect mix of privacy and communal spaces, making it ideal for large families, groups, or multigenerational stays.

The open-concept living area is designed to let you unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Expansive windows let in natural light and offer stunning views of the lake and mountains. After a day of exploring, curl up by the cozy gas fireplace in the living room, or gather around the dining table for a meal prepared in the chef’s kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, ample granite counter space, and everything you need to cook and entertain. The large dining table comfortably seats 10, with additional seating at the bar and island.

Our home features 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms, each designed for comfort. Four of the bedrooms have their own private en-suite bathrooms, while the fifth bedroom has a bathroom just across the hall. The main suite on the main level includes a King bed, Roku TV, and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. Upstairs, the second main suite also features a King bed, an en-suite bathroom, and access to a private deck. The other three bedrooms, including two with Queen beds and one with a Queen bed and two Twin beds, also have their own bathrooms for added privacy and convenience.

On the lower level, you’ll find the ultimate entertainment space—perfect for kids and adults alike. The game room is packed with arcade games, foosball, and air hockey for endless hours of fun. For movie lovers, the theater area with a large projector screen is the perfect spot to host family movie nights or watch the big game.

Relax and unwind in the sauna with an electric heater—ideal for soothing muscles after a day of outdoor adventures. It's the perfect way to rejuvenate in the comfort of your own retreat.

Step outside and take in the stunning views from two expansive decks. Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a sunset cocktail, the outdoor space is perfect for relaxing. Fire up the gas BBQ grill for a family barbecue, or enjoy a meal together at the picnic table. The deck offers plenty of seating, so everyone can enjoy the fresh mountain air and take in the beautiful vistas.

• Comfort: Our home is equipped with ceiling fans in each bedroom, and while there is no air conditioning, the cool mountain evenings and whole-house fan keep the space comfortably cool.
• Wi-Fi: Stay connected with fast, reliable Wi-Fi throughout the home—ideal for streaming, working remotely, or staying in touch with friends and family.

Guest Access

You'll have full access to the entire property, including the game room, two large decks, and the garage. The house is designed to offer plenty of space for relaxation and fun, and we encourage you to make it your home during your stay.

Other Things to Note

Check-in is 4pm and Check-out is 10am. Ask about the small fee for early check-in or late check-out (allowed depending on scheduling and not high season).

• No Pets: To ensure a comfortable experience for all our guests, we do not allow pets.
• Dynamic Pricing: Rates may fluctuate, so we recommend booking when you find a rate that works for your plans. Please note that Saturday check-ins or check-outs are not available, but you’re welcome to stay over the weekend.
• Climate: Due to our location at a higher elevation, the temperatures stay cool, even in summer. The house does not have A/C but remains comfortable with open windows and fans.

- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, pots and pans, dishwasher with dishwasher pods and dish soap, hand soap, coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, and common spices. A starter pack of shampoo, paper products including paper towels, and toilet paper are provided. You may need to purchase additional supplies during your stay. Main deck has a propane barbecue grill and upper deck has a propane fire pit. Downstairs there is a theater area with a projector and screen for Roku and Smart DVD/Blu-ray player. Projector has no cable access. Pack-n-play, private access, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, and more

In order to rent this property:
Person with the platform account is the “Booking Guest.”
• Booking Guest must be 25 or older and submit government-issued ID to confirm age within 24 hours of making reservation (obscure your ID#)
• Booking Guest must sign and return the Cancellation Policy & Rental Agreement within 24 hours of making reservation
• Booking Guest must stay at the property for the entire reservation dates (booking for others is not allowed)
• Credit card must be in Booking Guest's name.
In other words, ALL these must be in the SAME NAME.

Security Hold: A $300 security deposit hold will be placed on your credit card 1-3 days prior to check-in. This is not a charge (unless it is a debit card)—just a pre-authorization—and it will be automatically released within a few days of checkout, provided there is no damage or violation of house rules.

The maximum number of vehicles/trailers parked outside in driveway is 3 plus 1 in garage. *In winter months, driveway parking is reduced to 2 spaces. By county law, no vehicles or trailers can be parked on the road. There is free parking in town for trailers, vehicles, and EV stations available.

The house was amazing! So beautiful and comfortable. Immaculate as well. More than enough room for our family of 7 adults. Amenities were great! Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pans, silverware, etc.. Fantastic host communication and house instructions were easy to follow. We were able to see the Fireworks for Constitution Week from the deck and they didn’t disappoint. We didn’t get any photos of the fireworks but the views of the town, lake, and mountains were more than expected. We go to Grand Lake often and this is the best home we’ve stayed at. Can’t wait to stay here again.

We have been coming to Grand Lake every September for our family retreat since 1991 & have stayed in a lot of vacation rental properties. This was our first year in the Stone House and it will certainly not be our last. It is one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in. We had 4 couples & 4 kids & it was PERFECT for our family. The game room was so nice for the kids -- they could run & play without interfering with adult activities, etc. Each couple had an ensuite bedroom & plenty of personal space. The layout of the cabin with its 2 spacious decks was very conducive to quality family time. The kitchen was very well stocked & we had plenty of room for all the food & snacks we brought. I highly recommend this cabin for any large group -- it handles a large crowd very well.

Family gathering

Our family of 14 gathered for a long weekend in Grand Lake. It was such a lovely time at the Stone Hill House. Plenty of space to spread out and games for the kids to play in the evening. We appreciated having a bathroom for each bedroom. Lovely patio with nice views and great for star gazing. Easy access to downtown, quick walk down the hill. Erik was easy to work with and answered all my questions promptly.

Beautiful home in a great location

We had an excellent stay with a large group of families. The views from the decks are incredible and the various games in the basement kept all the kids busy. Property has an unbelievable location walking distance to the lake and places to eat in town. 5 minutes from RMNP entrance is tough to beat! Would absolutely come back!

Great house for group

This property was everything we needed for a friends trip to snowmobile in Grand Lake. The kitchen is very well stocked, the location good and owner communication is excellent. Would most certainly stay again.

I love Colorado! Hiking. Fishing. Skiing. Mountain scenery and wildlife. Grand Lake is probably my favorite place in the state, and has all the things I like: mountains, streams, lakes, and a genuine small-town feel. We bought here for our family, and decided to share the experience with you and your family too. I've been managing rentals for about 14 years. If you have questions, just ask.

Grand Lake is an amazing town that has lots of Rocky Mountain charm. So nice to be within walking distance of the lake and also main street. We love being able to walk out the back door and get ice cream just around the corner. So convenient!

Our goal is to provide you with a clean, welcoming home. We've hired the best cleaners and maintenance teams we can find. We often check the property personally. If you discover an issue, let us know, and we will deal with it in a timely way. Sometimes a detail gets overlooked or a problem arises (this is a house after all, and things do break).
