Almost Heaven Ober is a 2 sided cabin that sleeps 6.
Almost Heaven LeConte is the other side.
Have a bigger group? You can rent both sides.
It sits at the top of Cove Mountain with 1 of the best views in Gatlinburg.
There are no common spaces inside the cabin.
Everyone in your group must be able to walk up 2 full flights of stairs.
If anyone is unable to walk up 2 flights, please do not rent here.

We have been in the cabin hosting business since 2012.

Any questions that you have will be answered to ensure that you have found the perfect cabin for your escape to Gatlinburg.

Lovely hilltop property

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hilltop property. The property was comfortable and spacious and ideally located for days out in the Smoky Mountains NP; visits to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge (including Dollywood!). Fabulous views and we saw bears on several evenings which was a highlight.

Amazing Perfect cabin

Six of us stayed 4 nights after Christmas. Cabin was perfect! Clean and the owner checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed! Owner was amazing! Cabin had everything you needed and great view! Very close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where we spent our day adventures with zip lining, snow tubing, ice skating, aquarium, putt putt and much more. Spent the evenings in the cabin playing board games, cards, enjoying the fire place, hot tub and amazing view. Everything was perfect! And ended our visit with my daughter being proposed to at the cabin with an amazing view in the back!

Perfection

This rental should be the standard for all! Clean, well stocked and a host that cares. Pat reached out multiple times during our stay just to make sure everything was good. Location of rental is wonderful! Even had a bear sighting Monday eve and Tuesday morning.

Awesome Experience

The cabin was a fantastic place to stay for our first Smoky Mountain experience. The views from the balcony are incredible and exactly as advertised. And we even saw two bears playing around on two separate occasions. There was plenty of space for our family of four with two teens to spread out. We were a little disappointed, though, that we weren't able to use the spa--there just weren't enough towels provided to do the spa and bathe. I wish we would've brought some of our own towels. Everything else was well-stocked and in excellent condition. During our stay, we also got to experience a couple of days of rain. It didn't dampen our stay at all, but it did bring out hundreds of millipedes that covered the foundation outside. Some made it inside and into at least one bed and a couple of bags. They were harmless, but a little intrusive nonetheless. Overall, it was a great stay!!

This cabin has absolutely EVERYTHING you could need. Every little detail was thoughtfully designed, from the incredible reminder signage around the interior to the binoculars left to enjoy the views. We will absolutely be back!

Wow--what a view!

Loved the cabin. Only downfall was that it was a duplex, which was clearly stated. We knew before we went. You could just hear the people on the other side. But otherwise, it was amazing. The view could not be beat! We saw lots of wildlife (bears, deer, coyotes, rabbits) all from our balcony. Truly enjoyed it.

Fantastic Experience

Being lodged within miles of the Great Smokey Mountains, it was a blessing to witness the sunrise and sunset Mountain View’s. Close enough to Gatlinburg for nightlife, dining and shops. Love the amenities and the space of the cabin. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Cabin with Amazing Views

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

A great week in Gatlinburg with great views

We enjoyed our week here!!! You can not beat the views!!! Even saw a mama bear and cub driving up the mountain to the cabin on the first day! Then another out in the yard another day and bunnies! Cabin provided great amenities, very nice pots n pans, cookware, blenders, coffee pot etc.. for cooking this week! The decor is right in theme for the area and nicely done! Easy location for getting to Gatlinburg downtown or to Pigeon Forge! Thanks dor a great vacay week!

Beautiful short getaway

We had the absolute best time. Pat was very accessible for a couple of questions that we had and was so kind. The cabin was beautiful and easy to get to and had a tremendous view!

We are Lisa and Pat Toner. We visited Gatlinburg when our 2 sons were younger. We loved the area so much that we bought our first cabin Scenic Hideaway. This mountain top duplex is our second venture into the cabin rental industry. We raised our sons on the Gatlinburg experience. They are men now. We hope that they will raise their families here as well. We are a family run business and are here to stay. Please give us a chance to show you our hospitality.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Perfectly located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. AH Ober is located about 3 minutes off the Spur (321/441), only 7 minutes to either town, or 10 minutes to Dollywood. As always, traffic permitting. You can either come up Cove Mountain Road, or Flat Branch Road. If you are going to Gatlinburg from the cabin, take the Spur and quickly get off at the Gatlinburg Bypass. This will take you to the far end of town and you can enter Gatlinburg from the lighter traffic side. If you are going to Pigeon Forge, take Flat Branch Road. This will allow you to enter the Spur after the tunnel and reduce the time traveling to Pigeon Forge. The less time spent on the Spur the better. This is why this area is best area to be in if you plan on spending time in both towns. This is the ultimate location.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Peacefully located off the Spur close to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. This area is frequented by many bears, turkeys, deer and other wildlife. Watch from deck for hawks and eagles as they glide through the valley to the river down below. It is a great place to stroll around and take in all of the mountain air. The tranquility of sitting on the rocking chairs and looking at Mt. LeConte is refreshing. Life slows down and you can relax here.
