Worst vacation experience I've ever had! We could not contact the host for an entry code, and were stuck three hours from home with no place to stay. We had booked and paid for our accomodations 3 months previous so there wouldn't be any issues. When VRBO finally were able to contact our host HE cancelled our booking, saying that we didn't provide our ages (which we absolutely did - had to in order to complete registration) and he said we weren't of age to book a room legally. (we're both in our sixties) which was complete and total BS because we used my credit card to book the room in the first place.Not to mention the hour and a half we spent on the phone with VRBO and the stress of not knowing if we were going to have to sleep in the car! We had dinner reservatons that we were unable to shower and change for. We ended up in a fleabag dump of a strip motel. Stuck there for two nights because there was nothing else available in our price range. I will say that VRBO refunded our money immediately and paid for our first night at the fleabag. They did everything they could to accommodate our situation, and we appreciated their efforts. But... they need to do a better job of screening potential rentals and this one needs to be taken down! It was a scam!
