Tranquility House is the upper level of the main Guesthouse at Tranquility Hideaway Estate, which is a private, high-end rainforest retreat situated on 180 private acres and situated only 5 minutes to downtown Mission Beach. While the property is set up for large groups, functions, wedding and retreats, when we are not hosting large groups, we make individual listings available so everyone can experience Tranquility Hideaway and its immersion into nature.

The House is a booking that includes the entire top level of Tranquility Guest House and includes the upper level 4 king sized bedrooms, conference/media room, large catering kitchen, undercover outdoor entertaining area, undercover mineral pool, games room and the amazing panoramic views. Made available between our larger bookings, it’s the perfect escape for the discerning family looking for that special get away.

The Estate has been carefully designed as a multi venue event and accommodation space with ample separation between all the areas it’s made up of so we can make it available to, groups couples and individuals alike to experience Tranquility Hideaway and its immersion into nature.

The spaces flow seamlessly between indoor comfort and outdoor calm, ideal for conscious gatherings that balance stillness and celebration.

The undercover parking at the rear of the building gives you access directly to the property without the need to navigate stairs or worry about getting wet when it’s raining.

Please note that Tranquility House is situated within Tranquility Hideaway Estate, which consists of 180 acres of rainforest, parklands and multiple accommodation spaces. Unless you have booked the entire Estate Exclusively, there is a possibility that you may share the property with other guests, however Tranquility House and all the upper level areas of the home are exclusively yours. Other than that, your only neighbours will be Cassowaries, people you bring with you, and our property caretaker.

Shuttle, Grey Hound buses or car rental available from Cairns (aprox 2 hrs), or from Townsville (aprox 3 hrs)

Welcome to Tranquility Hideaway!
We aim to provide you with a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. To ensure a seamless experience for all, please review and adhere to the following house rules.
We kindly ask that you review and confirm your acceptance of these rules within 48 hours of making your booking. If you feel you are unable to meet the guidelines, you may cancel penalty-free within this period. After 48 hours, our Strict Cancellation Policy will apply.

GENERAL RULES
Treat the Space with Care:
Tranquility Hideaway is a private retreat. Please be respectful of the property, nature, and all facilities during your stay.

Maximum Guests:
Guest limits must be observed at all times:
Tranquility Hideaway: 22 guests. Max 24 (subject to fees for additional pax)
Tranquility Guest House: 8 guests. Max 10 (subject to fees for additional pax)
Serenity Rooms: Max 2 guests per room
Tranquility Garden Cabin: Max 5 guests

No Pets:
To preserve the tranquility of the space and protect native flora and fauna, pets are not permitted.
Certified assistance and service animals are welcome in accordance with Australian law. Please notify us at the time of booking if applicable.

Children and Infants:
Due to natural elements such as creeks, wildlife, and uneven terrain, the property is not specifically designed for young children or infants. If they are part of your group, they must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.
The property is not liable for accidents or injuries.

No Smoking:
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Outdoor smoking is permitted only in designated areas, using the provided ashtrays.
Please dispose of waste respectfully and do not litter under any circumstances. Additional cleaning fees may apply.


CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Standard Check-In: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Early Check-In: From 12:00 PM, subject to availability – please enquire in advance
Late Check-In: Until 12:00 AM, subject to availability – please enquire in advance
Standard Check-Out: By 11:00 AM
Late Check-Out: Available for a small fee – please arrange prior to your departure

DURING YOUR STAY

Noise Levels:
While we have no immediate neighbours, we ask that you respect the peaceful setting. Please keep noise to a minimum after 9 PM, especially if other guests are staying on the property.

Cleanliness:
Please wash dishes after use and leave all spaces tidy. Excessive mess may incur additional cleaning fees.

Furniture & Property:
Do not move or remove any furniture or decor. Everything has been thoughtfully placed for comfort, functionality, and flow.


SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

Supervision:
As the property includes natural features such as creeks and bushland, we ask that all guests exercise care. Children must be supervised at all times.

Liability:
Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their group. Tranquility Hideaway is not liable for accidents, injuries, or loss during your stay.

Smoke Alarms:
Installed and maintained as per regulations.

Carbon Monoxide:
There is no carbon monoxide alarm on site. For peace of mind, you are welcome to bring a portable unit.

Swimming Pool:
While the pool area is fully enclosed and meets safety requirements, we appreciate your mindfulness and care around water, especially with children.

Wildlife:
You may encounter native animals or insects. We encourage you to observe from a respectful distance. Please do not feed or attempt to handle wildlife.

Fire Safety & Restrictions:
Open flames, campfires, and candles may be restricted depending on weather conditions or local fire bans. Please check with us before lighting anything, and never leave fires unattended.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Events:
Unauthorised parties or events are not permitted.
If you’re interested in hosting a gathering (e.g., a wedding or retreat), please contact us in advance to discuss options. Unauthorised events may result in immediate eviction and additional charges.

Illegal Substances:
The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in eviction and notification of authorities.

Septic System Considerations:
Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Wipes, sanitary items, or other materials can damage the system and may result in repair charges.

FINAL NOTE
Tranquility Hideaway is a special place to reconnect, recharge, and retreat. We ask that you treat the space with care, leaving it ready for future guests to enjoy.
