Berkshire Lake access

Our beautiful offshore lake house is walking distance to a private HOA beach. Bring friends or family to our four bedroom two bath house with a large open living/kitchen area and a quiet sun room where you can read and watch the birds. Or have cocktails.

Cook a family meal in the well appointed kitchen. There are extra table leafs in the closet to add space for your guests. Enjoy! Your on vacation.

This house can be rented for multi month periods for a greatly reduced price. Contact owner for info.

Wonderful time.

Lovely, comfortable stay

House was true to the description. Located in a nice, lakefront community, it felt homey and comfortable. We used the kayaks, visited Tanglewood and went on a bike ride. Perfect weekend. Thank you!

Peaceful and beautiful

Joni's house was in a perfect location with a short walk to a serene private beach. The home was clean and well outfitted, and the open-concept layout light-filled and relaxing. We would definitely visit again, but next time a longer stay!

Sweet Cottage - perfect for our little get away !

The house was Great and the owner was awesome

The house worked was exceptionally clean and worked great for us. The landowner was exceptionally helpful in providing suggestions. We loved visiting the Norman Rockwell Museum and walking around Lenox. Thanks for everything!

Clean house by nice lake!

Everything about this was easy and convenient, from communication with Joni to its sweet location just steps from a lake. My family of four were plenty comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would stay again!

A great house!

We gathered with family and had a wonderful time at Joni's house. She's a great host, responsive and helpful. The house is very comfortable and truly had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. The lake is beautiful. We went swimming and kayaking, enjoyed the grill and fire pit, and hung out on the screened-in porch. It was everything we were hoping for, and we would love to return!

Amazing

This is our third year here. We love it Joni is so easy to get a hold of. The house is so clean, it is so nice to not have to bring your own towels, sheets. My kids love the lake and it is quiet which is so nice. There is a fire pit which we usef everyday! Already going to book for next year!

Great time in Hinsdale.

The property was very clean, and fit our family perfectly. Short walk to lake which our grandson loved. Plenty to do in nearby towns. Quiet at the house. The time just flew by.

wonderful stay

I went for the weekend with my father to get some time away from our busy work lives and the Jodi our host was very responsive and helpful from start to finish. check in was easy and house was very clean and well kept. neighborhood was quiet and relaxing and the house wifi worked great and it was very comfortable. House was close to pittsfield and some other nice towns and attractions. would definitely stay here again and could not have asked for a better experience

Lovely lake getaway

Joni's place was absolutely perfect for a quiet lake getaway. We were a group of four and had ample room in the house to hang out, cook, do yoga, and play board games. The lake is so close that it's easy to pop over for a quick swim or kayak anytime. Joni was very communicative and eager to help when we needed anything. We had a great time and are already talking about plans to come back.

MOUNTAINS

The stay was beautiful a little miscellaneous items, its a 3 and a half bedroom the drive was pretty long with the weather conditions through the mountains the house is at the top of the mountains the closest store is 15 minutes everything is priced up because it was the only store and you definitely have to be careful roads are small and if you love kayaking they have a lake with 2 kayaks its very quiet nice house, kitchenware they have everything you will need.

Shelter through the storm

We rented this cozy cottage for a XC ski weekend, and a major snow storm blew in for one of the days. This didn't damper our spirits, though. We played games, made hot cocoa, and explored the frozen lake right across the street (and were able to make it up to Notchview for some tremendous XC skiing the following day).

Cordial and Comfortable Cottage

GREAT COTTAGE! This is our second year renting this cottage at Lake Ashmere. The beach for the “off shore” cottages is a 1 minute walk. You can swim, kayak and savor the sun. The cottage itself is a lovely oasis for reading and resting. The air conditioning is a big bonus on hot summer days and the washer/dryer allows you to pack lightly for your vacation. The cottage was equipped with some fun items, such as a 1000 piece puzzle that worked very well to distract us on a rainy day. The kitchen is also well stocked and has basic spices so you can easily cook. Although the cottage borders 143, we never noticed any noise. We plan to come back next year!

Soooo Great!

Joni is the most gracious host. She called to make sure I was comfortable and was in touch throughout my 8 day stay. I asked her if she had a blender in the house and she immediately had one delivered by Amazon within a day! The house is clean, welcoming and stocked with everything one would need for a "feel like a home" stay. The neighborhood is charming. It is about 300 yards from the house to the lake. The pleasant street is about 1/3 mile long, so one can safely walk anytime day or night. The beds were super cushy and the bedding includes quilts and many blankets to keep warm. The house is well built and sound proof-in fact I was resting on my bed and couldn't hear someone calling for me from the living room. Thank you, Joni, for making my trip really a total pleasure!

Lake Getaway

This was a great quiet getaway from the City (Boston) and still be able to social distance. With COVID19 in mind, this house checked all the key boxes! *A full size kitchen with all the essentials (including a coffee maker & a Keurig). *WIFI, AC, TV, a W/D, and an enclosed sunporch. *There's an outdoor (gas) grill for use. The house is about a block away to the private Lake! You can swim or kayak in it. If you are an open water swimmer, I would recommend bring a buoy, to keep you save from the boats. -The Mass MoCa Museum is a 40 min drive (to N.Adams). -Pittsfield is a 20 min drive. Unfortunately, the few days we were there, Tropical Storm Isaias joined in on the fun and we lost power. Joni was a great host. Informed us where the candles and flashlights were. She checked on us in the morning & kept us apprised on the power outage. The house is perfect for a family or couple retreat. We look forward to going back!

We are Peter and Joni Berardino, from Austin, Tx. We bought our first lake cottage (next door) four years ago and love to come whenever we can. We have enjoyed great success renting to others and decided to purchase this four season home so we can come year round.
We have three adult children and three grandchildren. We are both still working (sort of) and enjoying our frequent getaways to the Berkshires.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This house is very special. The previous owners had it for 50 years! It was completely remodeled in 2001 by a local custom builder. The house has an open living/kitchen/dining area surrounded by four bedrooms and two baths. There is a lovely sun room with both glass windows and screens for the summer. Our yard has beautiful trees atop a forest floor type lawn. The general neighborhood is very small with unique cottages and homes. Most with gorgeous yards. The lake is clean and picturesque. The water is clear enough to see the fish swimming.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Very close lake access without the high price of being on the water. Due to the terrain and trees you can barely see the lake from the house. But you can be on the small private beach in two minutes. Just cross the street and walk down the hill.

Sit in the screened porch in the evening with your glass of wine or in the morning with your coffee. The birds are tweeting and you can watch the chipmunks scamper around the yard.
