THE BLACK ACE is a fully restored 110 year old cottage in the heart of Yamba Village, a beach town on the east coast of Australia. The north facing aspect of the home soaks up all the Norfolk pines that the area is famous for and the location just makes holidays for all ages, just so easy. Beaches cafes, restaurants are at your doorstep. The considered layout of the restoration, styling and ammenities offered, have been curated to ensure you slip straight into Holiday mode! Sleeps 14.

Welcome to The Black Ace

Step into the charm of a fully restored 110-year-old cottage in the heart of Yamba Village, a stunning beachside town on the east coast of Australia. The Black Ace offers the perfect blend of vintage elegance and modern convenience, with a north-facing aspect that captures the beauty of iconic Norfolk pines.

Located in the village centre, everything you need is just steps away: cafes, restaurants, and seven pristine beaches - four within walking distance and the rest just an 8-minute drive to the picturesque town of Angourie.

Outdoor Living The fully fenced grounds feature an oversized deck that connects the main house to a detached "Bunkhouse" and games room. The spacious deck invites barefoot relaxation with its generous outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying fresh prawns (from the local seafood shop just 30 metres away) and a glass of rosé or icey cold beer - Local bottle shop located across the road.

Main House Interiors
Thoughtfully curated interiors create a light, airy, and comfortable space for easy holiday living. In the cooler months, cozy up by the fireplace, while summers are made effortless with reverse-cycle air conditioning. The main house features three beautifully appointed bedrooms:

Master Suite: A supersized retreat with a queen bed, two single beds, and a charming ensuite. This room also includes a 45" Smart TV, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a ceiling fan.

Queen Bedrooms (2): Bright, cozy spaces with queen beds, under-bed storage, and ceiling fans.

All bedrooms are equipped with blackout blinds for slow, restful mornings, and French linen bedding by Carlotta and Gee for ultimate comfort.

The main house also includes a stylish, modern bathroom with a separate toilet. An additional detached bathroom/laundry offers a private toilet and a hot outdoor shower—ideal for guests in the bunkhouse.

Living Spaces
The main living area boasts three distinct spaces:

A dining area with seating for eight.

A lounge with a leather sofa, butterfly chairs, and a hand-painted Mexican tile fireplace.

A TV area with a 55" Smart TV, featuring all the entertainment apps you need.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas oven/stove, a Smeg drip coffee machine, a water filter, and plenty of cookware and tableware to keep your group well-fed and happy. A Sonos sound system extends throughout the house, games room, and outdoor area, adding the perfect soundtrack to your holiday.

The Bunkhouse
Perfectly designed for fun and relaxation, the detached bunkhouse features:

Bespoke built-in bunks: 2 doubles and 2 singles.

A pool table that converts to a ping-pong table.

A dartboard and surfboard storage.

A 65" Smart TV with streaming apps, Foxtel, Netflix, Apple TV, and more.

Air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable.

Pet-Friendly Paradise
We’re delighted to welcome your furry friends to The Black Ace! The fully fenced property makes it safe and convenient for pets. We simply ask that pets stay off the furniture and that their waste is cleaned up before check-out.

The Black Ace is next door to the charming Yamba Cinema (occasionally you might hear the movies playing!) and a short walk to parks, the iconic Pacific Hotel, and family-friendly activities like mini-golf, bowling, and indoor rock climbing. With everything so close, holidaying with a group is seamless and enjoyable.

Walking distance to the village and beaches

Grab a morning coffee next door at Beachwood then take a walk up to the Lighthouse. The walk around the cliff over to Turners beach to beautiful and and unbelievable way to start your day. You can jump off the rocks if the tide is right and you will more than likely swim with the dolphins. Or stay perched with your coffee on the rocks and watch the marine life play.

'The Kiosk' at Main Beach is a gorgeous place to have a casual breakfast with the sun coming up. Unfortunately it's only open Friday to Sunday 7am to 12pm. Hanging by the Beach pool at Main Beach is one of our favourite things to do. It's got European vacation vibes down there with people laying around on the rocks and diving in and out of the pool. All are a short walk from The Black Ace and a great way to start your day.

Back from the beach, slip straight into a mediterranean brunch at Beechwood which is right next door. Find a sunny little table soak up the European vibes with Sevtap and her amazing food.

Karrakin is a phenomenal restaurant in the village and the food and drinks are unbelievable. They only work with seasonal and local produce and change the menu up accordingly. So it's always a nice surprise to see what they will be cooking up for you that night. Like most places in Yamba except a few, they are only open Thursday to Saturday, but it's worth the wait and don't forget to book.

Paradiso at the top of the high street hill is also one of our favourites for dinner. They serve modern Asian and also have a great little cocktail bar next door you can visit before you sit down.

Other dinner options are The Italian & Burger spot at the top of the hill. Or The Mexican in the Village. Or you can head out to Angourie for an amazing dinner at Barbaresco, authentic Italian food and amazing wines.

If you want something more casual for dinner but still amazing the pizzas at Drift are great, they have beautiful selection of natural wines too. Eat in or takeaway, either way is great. Sassfras pizza are great for a quick dinner for the kids. Next door to The Black Ace is Payu Thai, an institution in Yamba. You can eat in or takeaway. YumYum's Angourie is now in the village and is a great breakfast and lunch option, they too use a selection of local and seasonal produce.

All restaurants you should book in advance. Nights open and seated numbers are limited so get in early!

Beaches
Yamba is surrounded by beaches and waterways. So no matter what the wind is doing you will find a gorgeous spot to swim, surf or have an all day beach hang.

Main Beach
Convent Beach and walk around Lovers point and you'll come across Pippis.
Pippis beach in the corner and is great for a huge walk all the way to Angourie.
Turners Beach
Whitings beach is a no wave beach - great for the little ones.

Being right in the heart of town everything you need is within walking distance. The friendly grocer is right around the corner (a 20 metre walk!) for your groceries and is open from 7am til 8pm. Causleys Deli is also just around the corner and has amazing local produce. The bottle shop just across the road on Coldstream street also. You can rent bikes from the local bike shop if you want to go a bit further.

Getting to Yamba
From Sydney it's a 7 hour drive or a 1 hour flight to Ballina where you can hire a car and drive and easy 50 minutes south.
The Black Ace has a strict NO party policy. Guests will be required to check out immediately should this rule not be acknowledged. No refund will be issued. PETS: If paying an additional pet fee, this fee includes the pets accomodation not the clean up of the fur or poop. All pets must be cleaned up after by their owner included picking up poos and disposing of them.
