Escape to King of the Hill, a cozy mountain retreat nestled on 7 private wooded acres with beautiful long-range views of Beech Mountain. With 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms in the main house, and a separate game room in our detached garage that also offers another bathroom, this cabin is perfect for families or friends looking to relax and enjoy everything the High Country has to offer. 

Important Note: New AC units installed September 2025! Now you can stay cool in the warmer summer months!

Location: Centrally located between Boone and Banner Elk in the Foscoe Community with all paved access on state maintained roads. The driveway is graveled but not steep and has level parking. Close to many attractions like gem mining, skiing, golf, hiking, dining, shopping, Grandfather Mountain, Alpine Coaster and so much more.

Comfortable & Spacious Sleeping Arrangements:

Main Floor:
King Master Bedroom with bathroom access. The bathroom has a deep tub and shower combo. This bathroom is the only bathroom on the main floor and is shared.

Second King Bedroom (shares hall bathroom)

Upstairs:
Two Queen Bedrooms, each with skylights and remote-controlled shades.

Shared full bathroom with stand-up shower

Every bedroom features a Roku TV with DirecTV and access to popular streaming apps. With two king beds and two queen beds, everyone gets a great room—no arguing over the “best one!”

-The open-concept kitchen is stocked with everything you need:

-Stone countertops
-Wine chiller
-Keurig with coffee pot option
-Bar seating for 4 and a large dining table for 8

The living room invites you to relax by the seasonal wood-burning fireplace, watch a movie on the Samsung Smart TV, or simply soak in the mountain views through the tall windows and skylights.

Detached Game Room – Ultimate Hangout Spot:
Located on the lower level of the detached garage, the game room is a hit with both kids and adults.

Step outside to the patio with a gas fireplace and comfortable seating—the perfect place to unwind after a fun-filled day. You will have to leave the cabin and walk across the parking area to access the game room.

Soak in long-range mountain views from the spacious covered deck
Gather around the wood-burning fire pit (firewood provided)
Fire up the gas grill and enjoy meals on the deck with rocking chairs and outdoor seating

The driveway is level and graveled with easy, all-paved access via state-maintained roads.

Pets: Why leave your pet at home when you can bring it along for the adventure of a lifetime? Well behaved dogs are welcome at King of the Hill for a one time nonrefundable pet fee of $100/pet for dogs weighing less than 50 pounds. There is a 2 dog maximum with a maximum weight limit of 50 pounds for each dog.

Winter Weather Warning:
From November through April, snow and ice can affect mountain roads. A 4-wheel drive vehicle with good tires and/or snow chains is strongly recommended. No refunds will be issued due to weather-related travel issues or lack of preparedness.
