The Space:

Welcome to Golden Dawn, a spacious mountain retreat in peaceful Saluda, NC. With two levels and 1,520 sq. ft. of living space, this home comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests—making it an ideal spot for families and groups seeking both relaxation and adventure.



The upstairs level features an open-concept living area, fully equipped kitchen, and access to a private viewing deck—perfect for sipping coffee or unwinding after a day of adventure. The primary king bedroom on this level features a TV, cozy electric fireplace, closet, and private access to the bathroom and back deck. Downstairs, you’ll find a second king bedroom with a TV and a full bathroom. There is also an office space with two twin bunk beds. In the common area downstairs, you will also find a pool table to either practice your skills, or enjoy a little competition with your party.



Each level provides private deck access, as well as outside gas fire pits and Adirondack chairs, which will make your mountain evenings even more enjoyable. With in-home laundry, two bathrooms, and all the essentials, Golden Dawn combines comfort with mountain charm.



Whether you’re here for hiking, local charm, or simply some well-earned rest, this welcoming home base is designed to help you slow down and savor every moment.



We’re excited to announce an upcoming enhancement to Saluda Mountain Retreat. Each unit will be receiving a private four person hot tub. Two sauna's will be added to be shared. These exciting additions will be added by May 15th, 2026.



We provide regular pest control at our properties; however, because some of our homes are located in rural settings, guests may still encounter insects or small wildlife from time to time.



To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all, we encourage and request all guests to review our house rules before completing their booking. These guidelines help maintain comfort, security, and create clear expectations for all involved. By booking, you agree to our house rules, policies, terms and conditions (including details on guest count, pet accommodations, security measures, and checkout procedures). Adherence helps us provide the best possible stay for you and future guests. We appreciate your cooperation in advance and look forward to hosting you!

Overall great stay! The cleanliness was a little off… the floors were definitely not cleaned. Food crumbs were under the tables and the front door mat was dirty. Also, someone left their undies in the closet ! There was also food left in the freezer. The views were incredible & downtown Saluda was so fun to explore! We would definitely stay here again, I was just a little disappointed in the cleaning.

We had a really nice stay at this cabin. It's very cute and nicely appointed, with comfortable beds. Overall, we had a great stay. A few things for improvement: the gas firepit was out of gas. The cabins are not marked with any house numbers (the only way to find your cabin is to pull up the listing to see a picture of the cabins with the numbers), we had to help 2 neighbors find theirs. The dishwasher did not have power to it, so we couldn't run it during our stay. The raw edge stairs to the lower level were beautiful but hazardous. Very inconsistent and steps not large enough to be safe. Just small things for improvement, but a beautiful cabin and really nice stay. Thank you!

This place was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL!!!! Everything in the house has a specific purpose and was so wonderfully thought out! I cannot say enough wonderful things about it! I wish it was my house!!! Perfect colors, perfect decor, so cute and just AMAZING! The place sleeps 8 but there was only 2 of us so we slept in the upstairs bed and OH WOW, the bed, it was like sleeping on a cloud!!!! The only things I wish it had but didn’t was a hairdryer, because I didn’t bring one, and a step stool for the bed! I’m 4’11 and it came up to my chest! lol! My Husband had to get into it 1st then pull me up!!!!! And we didn’t see any outside numbers on the houses so weren’t sure which one was ours! Other than that it was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND PERFECT and I will be recommending this place to everyone I know and if I ever come back here I will stay here again 100%!!!! THANK YOU!

Our overall impression of this place can be summed up in two words; absolutely amazing! These mountain retreats are a retreat in so many ways. The views are spectacular. I’m not a morning person, but I set the alarm for a little before sunrise and was not disappointed. We did beautiful time lapsed videos both days and it is almost surreal knowing you are just a few miles from Saluda, and yet you feel you’re being given your personal view to the calm and awe inspiring sunrise. And the dawn chorus from the birds adds to the beauty! Even the roosters crowing was fun to hear. As far as the cabin itself goes, it is so pleasingly decorated, very well supplied, clean and cozy, and everything has been provided for a fabulous stay. We tried to take advantage of all the things there were to do: we played a game of pool, sat out on the top balcony enjoying the views with a glass of wine, went to the bottom balcony when it rained, sat around the fire pit and watch the clouds and fog roll in, we slept in the comfy bed with the curtains open to see the sunrise from bed, coffee in hand. The couch is super comfy, the fireplace adds to the ambiance. The murals, the resin and timber dining table, the sunrise themed sliding doors, even the dishes all add to the feel of a wonderful mountain retreat. We can’t wait to go back again for a longer stay. And if you have a large family or a group, everyone will be satisfied with all the space and amenities. PS: The owners are a breeze to work with!
