I wasn’t expecting the vrbo fee to be so high. However, the property managers were excellent! They confidently answered questions, and were always very helpful.

We really loved this stay. Perfect for two families, though we just had one, so plenty of room. We loved the hot tub and the heated pool was perfect. The west side of the island was so nice and quiet and we felt like we got the best of the sound and ocean side. I know the amenities seem pretty standard across DI rentals. I wish we’d known we needed stuff like coffee filters. Next time we will know.

Overall, we were very pleased with staying here. The house front door window, kitchen flooring, and front and back decking could use a little TLC but the house was quite clean and well kept otherwise. Thankfully, we read in the description that they provided limited supplies, so we packed our own. It would have been nice if they at least provided one coffee serving per day rented but not a huge deal. The beds and pillows were very comfortable; we all slept great! The beach front rooms have very sheer curtains which offered little privacy and let the daylight in with sunrise. The heated pool and hot tub were enjoyed throughout the stay. We all agreed we would definitely rent this house again; great location and good accommodations at a reasonable price compared to similar houses on the island. We even got to watch dolphins our first day out the front and back windows!! Lots of Terns, Pelicans, and Gulls daily, too.

I rent several houses a year on Dauphin Island. I am a repeat customer for this particular property. I would never leave a bad review but do want to make you aware of several issues. The floors in the kitchen and living area were in desperate need of repair. Two children had cut toes from the condition of the floors. Rugs had been placed over one of the areas but not all. There wasn’t a broom or mop located anywhere inside the unit for cleanup during the stay. The repair made on the wall that is unpainted in the kitchen has been there since the last time I stayed. The cookware in the home left a lot to be desired. Most of the pans had rust or peeling bottoms. The garbage drawer would not close properly. The remote was missing in one of the bedrooms. The grass around the unit was over the ankles and higher in some spots which caused an over abundance of mosquitos. When you pay the amount of money that was paid for this unit for 5 nights, you expect to see the unit in better shape than it was. Again overall we had a great time but I would definitely look into some of these issues for future guests.
