We enjoyed our stay in this eclectically furnished home in a quiet neighbourhood, walking distance from the 3 theatres where we saw Stratford Festival plays (we were happy to walk for 30-40 minutes to the Festival Theatre). The bathroom is freshly renovated. Some guests might prefer more up-to-date kitchen cabinets and stove. We like to cook, and had no trouble with the kitchen as it was. We have sent several suggestions for additional kitchen equipment to the host. As well as providing coffee and tea, the host keeps many condiments and some basic pantry items on hand (some opened, some not). It was nice to know that if we had to leave similar items behind, they wouldn't go to waste. We appreciated and used the table and folding chair in the twin bed room, set up to serve as a desk. One reviewer described the twin bed as uncomfortable. We did not have this problem, perhaps because one of us is only 5' tall. Given the type of twin bed frame, the position can block the AC/heating vent when the frame is snug against the wall. The position may be safety related (see below). A note for parents of the type of child who like to climb, explore and test boundaries: the large unscreened window in the twin bedroom opens wide enough for a person to exit through it onto the roof of the front porch. Bring slippers, as the hardwood floors in most of the house do not appear to have been refinished since the house was built, and are very rough in spots.
