Enjoy the Florida sunset from the balcony of your upstairs couples private suite. your balcony view overlooks your private pool and dock area. Under your suite is a game room with a tiki bar, pool table and dart board for guest use. There is a cooking cabana for your use. There is also his and her bike for guest use. along with kayaks and canoes as well. Sunset boat rides and or tubing may be available for rent by me your host. self check in ( key pad ) Wi-Fi

Perfect getaway!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Loved the privacy , the pool was great, and the downstairs gameroom was definitely a plus!! Vern was very friendly and communication was him was a breeze!! Thanks for a relaxing getaway!!

Superb Studio on Callousahatchee Channel

We’ve stayed at Vern’s studio before; and it never disappoints. The studio and Vern the owner are exceptional. He rents his main home out as well as appropriate for 2+ people. Vern has bikes onsite, the pool and surroundings are wonderful, billiard table downstairs in rec room. He has nice boat, and now a pontoon, which he will often take guests out on for a bit. Just exceptional, can’t say enough. He’s on notice for our return next year!

Highly recommend, five stars

What a wonderful place and host! The property was beautiful, right on the canal with a great dock and incredible pool. Vern, the host was on point! He went out of his way to make sure we had a great week and everything was perfect, including balloons and chocolates since it was Valentine's Day!

The Host with the Most!

Beautiful place all the way around. Sun and water everywhere. Owner went out of his way everyday to insure we were happy and felt at home. Loved our Downtown outing.. 15 min drive to great food and fun. People were super friendly…Great Times!!!

Not What We Expected

I felt our host was very nice. The suite is located on the 2nd floor of the property. I would also have to say the unit was clean. The issue I had was with the neighborhood itself and the surrounding area. I just did not feel safe at the property. I feel that the host should have posted pictures of the front of the house and the street it was located on. If you look at the pictures that are posted they only show the rear of the home and the interior. At that angle the pictures were taken, it looks like the property is in an upscale neighborhood and it is misleading. I did leave the property after the first night and stayed at a hotel for my remaining stay in Florida. I asked the host for at least half of my money back, but he only gave me a small partial refund. I learned my lesson!

Relaxing week, pool, kayaks, bike

The property was a delight. Vern the owner met us and showed us the place. We had our own suite, locked private entrance and pool, kayaks and bikes. There’s a great dock on the canal with direct access to the river for boating fun. There’s a pool table, dart board, wet bar, and grilling cabana. The listing mentions a kitchen, (Vern would probably let you use the one in the house if you ask him),but we had a mini fridge, microwave, and single burner hot plate to make quick breakfasts and warm up snacks. The king bed was comfortable and I’m very picky about that. There were clean towels, soaps and shampoos. We had TV and a comfy couch. There was a pool radio, lights, a fountain and great ambiance, with a stunning hard scape deck and lounge chairs. We wanted a place to relax, and unwind but with a few options for activities. We kayaked to the boat house, biked the neighborhood, and went to beautiful beaches about 45 min away. This is only 25 min from the airport. Thank you Verne for a great week.

BEYOND PERFECT

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend I found this gem last minute. 1st off the property was perfect. The owner Vern...well I don't even know where to start. He was an absolute gem. So helpful, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond. His attention to detail around the property did not go unnoticed. The Billards room and the pool were PERFECT. I am not one to leave reviews often but I could not NOT review Vern and his place. We will 100% be back and if you have a chance to scoop this gem up don't pass it by.

Perfect couple getaway!

We stayed a weekend and had a great time! The place is gorgeous and cozy. The kayaks were great to use, the rec room was awesome, it came with everything we needed. The pool is lit up at night and so pretty off the water. Vern was awesome! He gave us a boat ride and was very accomodating. 10/10 recommend!!!

The air b n b is amazing. Beautifully decorated and I felt immediate at home during my stay.

The views from the balcony are wonderful of the canal and boats. I looked forward to returning after a busy day as it was so special. Vern made sure all of my needs were met and went above and beyond. You will not be disappointed staying in this lovely

Great Getaway Suite

More than just a couples retreat, this was a piece of paradise. Had our own pool, pool table and bar all to ourselves. Vern was a pleasure to deal with and he's a wealth of local knowledge and can get you to the Boathouse by boat lickety split! Truly enjoyed our weekend getaway!

Wonderful accommodations!

Everything was perfect. The house includes a fantastic Rec and bar area below the living area. The views are beautiful looking at all the boats and private boat docks along the canal. Vern is extremely helpful as the inn keeper and all my needs were met above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here and enjoying a relaxing stay in this area of Florida.

Amazing Winter Break

We spent 5 nights at Vernon’s house. We had an amazing time. Everything was exactly as listed and his place was easy to find, about 25 minutes from the airport. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood and you definitely will need a car if you plan to visit the gulf coast, about 35-40 minutes away. The first night Vernon mentioned wing night at a nearby bar. We went and socialized a bit with Vernon and the locals, the wings were awesome. The manatee park is a definite place to do a short visit and only a few miles away. For a small extra fee Vernon took us out in his boat for an afternoon and we loved it and Vernon is the best! We also drove 1 1/2 to the Everglades and rode a couple airboats and a land buggy. We had a fabulous meal at a small cafe in Everglades City. Our last night Vernon had a small SuperBowl party and we had a great time. His place is perfect, relaxing, and his heated pool is a nice addition for February weather. There’sa small kitchenette we used for breakfast. He has many available games, a paddle boat, bikes to ride and access to kayaks if we wanted. We hope to be back, Vernon and his place was a great find!

Wonderful Home and Neighborhood

Upstairs apartment of Vernon’s home was ideal with modern conveniences, overlooking outdoor inground pool and canal. Open concept and well appointed. Kitchenette handles simpler meals well with outdoor grille for heavier dining and gazebo setting too. Many amenities: mountain bikes, paddle boat - on canal to Caloosahatchee, billiards in ground floor entertainment room. Vernon will take you on boat outings on river for a small fee. In nice residential neighborhood so very quiet but near many activities. The internet a few times got dropped, and owner checked into fixing. Vernon is a superb host; very responsive to the few requests we had. We are coming back!!

Great spot!

We were coming into town for an unexpected visit and didn’t have much advance notice. We drove in super late and Vern made sure the A/C was on for us when we arrived. He allowed us time to settle before giving me the tour and leaving us to our business. He was easily accessible and we thoroughly appreciate his hospitality.
