WHAT’S NEARBY
Just a few hundred feet down Nelson Street there is a large, private community beach for owners and guests of homes in the neighborhood. The Ocean Edge Resort, golf course, and restaurant is less than a quarter-mile down Route 6A, as well as Main Street Brewster which hosts supermarkets, gas stations, and retail stores of all types.

Well-equipped, beachy decor

Loved the beach decorated cottage. It was clean and equipped with everything you might need. Walking distance to the beach and also to J.T.'s Restaurant.

Perfect Cape Home

My family and I stayed there for the weekend while attending a wedding at Oceans Edge. It was a perfect location and it was the perfect house. Plenty of room for all of us. Nice to have the beach down the street. Everything we needed was provided. I would definitely stay there again!

Nice house with everything you need on vacation. Bathrooms a little small but having two is important. No cable tv so bring a steaming device to get live tv.

Fun beach house

Close to the beach, cute restaurants and shops. Plenty of space to relax in two living areas. Lots of knickknacks, it seemed a bit cluttered. The outdoor shower wasn’t working. We only went to the beach once so it wasn’t a big deal. We were there in mid June, maybe it gets turned on later in the summer. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Brewster vacation

Loved the location of this home. Clean and great layout. Great place and location. But now the down side. The bedroom my grandkids and myself were in smelled very musty. I don’t know if the rooms blocked off in the basement caused this but oh well still all in all a great place to rent.

Poorly maintained, unresponsive property management

Unfortunately this echos the comments of a previous reviewer. We arrived to find the place poorly maintained. The ceiling tiles had water marks and were sagging in a way that concerned us about mold. The outdoor shower had no tap and was being used as storage, the couch and rug were stained. We called Vacasa in the first 30 minutes of checking in, were told someone from the local office would call us within the hour. We left the property, feeling uncomfortable about the mold and our toddler. Despite numerous calls and texts, Vacasa never went to look at the property all week. When we asked for a refund we were offered a partial refund, and only after complaining to VRBO (who said they could do nothing but did call Vacasa when we pressed them). Short of it, don’t rent from Vacasa.

we arrived to this property on a Thursday to find the refrigerator/freezer we’re not working. I began a on line chat with the property management company and they said they would contact the local service to come check it out. No one came until Saturday night (we were checking out on Sunday). I even called VRBO and they basically told me it’s not their problem, it’s up to the PM. Even after the service company left and told us to give the fridge an hour to cool off, it never did and it stayed warm on the inside. making it unusable. When I contacted the PM again to request a partial refund, they said NO! good luck to anyone that chooses to stay here and has an issue.

Cozy Cape house near the Bay

This house was clean, had tons of charm, and was snug and very comfortable for our winter stay. We loved walking down to the Bay beach! Some restaurants and shops on 6A (as well as the bike path entry) are nearby. The kitchen was very functional with tons of dishes (though the pots and pans were a worn). We didn't use the washer/dryer, which was accessible only through external cellar storm doors. Would highly recommend!

Great place for the family

We stayed with our adult kids and grandson. Plenty of room for all. Easy walk to the beach, so everyone could come and go as they pleased. Very comfortable beds and a well supplied kitchen

Charming house on a fantastic beach

The house had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend away. Comfortable bed rooms and cozy family room for hanging out and playing games. The quick walk to the beach was great and allowed us to make the most of the location! Would happily come again.

Family week on Cape

The house was very nice. House had a lot of outdoor seating for family. They could use more beach chairs, only one for a house that sleeps 10. We had a great time staying here.

A Quiet Retreat

The home was very clean and the description in the listing was accurate. Three couples, all of us over 76 years of age, had to be careful navigating the steps to enter/exit the home and basement laundry room. Several throw rugs had to be taken up and put away to avoid any tripping. All appliances were in good shape and the coffee maker that quit functioning was quickly replaced by the local contact. A very nice experience at a great time of year.

Great Cape Stay

We had a great stay at this cozy Cape cottage. Very comfortable for 7 adults and one baby. Loved the deck space and outdoor shower! About 200 yards from the beach and 200 yards from the main road, we were able to conveniently enjoy the beauty of the ocean and what Brewster has to offer. Only one complaint - they confirmed in advance that they had beach chairs (plural) and there was only one chair there. So bring your own chairs and get ready for a lovely Cape experience!

Great location, clean but disappointed. Problems not addressed.

Vacasa representatives unresponsive. No directions how to use stove tv, etc. Lots of looking hard for items such as electric panel etc. Lacked sufficient bedding, towels for 10. Too many knickknacks. Some dishware cracked,chipped. Have had other VRBO experiences that were excellent but with owner not a management company.

Lovely stay in a beautiful home

We recently enjoyed a lovely stay in this Cape home (2 adults, 2 elementary aged kids) over April break. The location is easily the best thing about it - we were within (close) walking distance to the beach as well as a bookstore, coffee shop, and some restaurants. We were also able to bike with our 2 kids to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and from there, we easily biked to Nickerson State Park. The house was very clean, and there were towels and linens provided. While the house isn't large, it is what you would expect on the Cape, and it is well appointed for the size (I will say that there are a lot of knick-knacks - my kids were old enough to not touch anything, but just a note for parents of toddlers). While it was just the 4 of us during this stay, the house could have easily accommodated 2 families. The kitchen was in the middle of the home, and off of each side, were bedroom(s), a bathroom, and a living room. One side had 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom, and the other side had 1 bedroom (w/a queen and 2 twins), a living room, and a bathroom. Just a note - everything is managed through a management company - and they didn't reach out until exactly 1 week before the stay, which made me a little nervous. If I had made an account on their website (not VRBO), I would have seen our reservation before they reached out. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.

I’ll keep this short... we really enjoyed our short stay here. They had everything we could’ve needed (especially plates... lots and lots of plates in the cupboards). Definitely would stay here again!!!
