Yucanta Park Gorgeous Estate meets Scenic Getaways
Step back in time at Yucanta Park, a beautiful 1925 homestead within a picturesque equestrian estate in Birdwood. Featuring soaring ceilings, wide verandahs, and modern comforts, this unique rural retreat combines space, history, and charm. You’ll find manicured gardens and a private tennis court, perfect for enjoyable afternoons that lead into sunset drinks. Spend cosy evenings by the fire, and take advantage of easy access to local wineries, scenic drives, and the National Motor Museum.
Yucanta Park is a magnificent 1925 homestead where vintage elegance meets thoughtful modern comfort. From the moment you step inside, intricate ceilings, ornate cornicing, and grand proportions transport you to another era of craftsmanship and grace.
The main living room showcases classic leather Chesterfields, creating a cosy setting for gathering and movie nights. Toward the rear of the home, a second living area features a wood fire — perfect for cosy Adelaide Hills evenings. In beautiful contrast to the home’s heritage detailing, the kitchen is fresh, modern and highly functional, featuring sleek finishes and generous bench space. The large formal dining room connects via a traditional servery hutch, blending old-world charm with everyday practicality. (Note: The fireplace in the first living room is not operational.)
Outside, wide verandahs wrap around the home, offering multiple spaces to dine, relax and take in the peaceful garden surrounds. The private tennis court adds a classic estate feel — perfect for friendly afternoon matches before gathering for drinks on the verandah. Established gardens and open lawns provide space for children to explore within the fenced grounds.
Five generous bedrooms line the grand hallway, each with its own personality and period character. The primary bedroom features a king bed beneath a striking pressed tin ceiling, while the remaining rooms offer queen and double configurations, making the home ideal for larger families or groups. They share one spacious bathroom with a bath and shower combination, while laundry facilities add to your everyday convenience.
Set within a working equestrian estate, you may see horses grazing beyond the garden fence, adding to the authentic country atmosphere. Ample parking is available in the driveway.
(Please note that all equestrian areas are private and strictly off limits to guests — kindly remain within the fenced garden areas at all times.)
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house to yourselves, including access to the tennis court. Please note that all equestrian areas are private businesses and strictly off limits to guests. Please make yourselves at home!
Birdwood is a charming Adelaide Hills township rich in heritage and rural character. Just minutes away, visit the renowned National Motor Museum — Australia’s largest motor museum and the finish point of the famous Bay to Birdwood classic car event.
Explore Birdwood’s heritage mill buildings, boutique cafés, Top of the Torrens Gallery, and antique and book shops along the main street. The Adelaide Hills wine region surrounds you, with premium cellar doors and vineyards within an easy drive. The Barossa Valley and Eden Valley are also ideal for day trips. Scenic drives via Gorge Road and surrounding Adelaide Hills routes make this a perfect base for exploring Mount Lofty, Hahndorf and beyond. Family attractions nearby include the Big Rocking Horse at Gumeracha and Gorge Wildlife Park at Cudlee Creek.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
