Welcome to The Owlet, a private and thoughtfully renovated basement suite located in Calgary’s Bowness neighborhood, just minutes from Winsport and with easy access to Highway 1 for quick trips to Banff and the Rocky Mountains.
This comfortable one-bedroom suite is ideal for couples, solo travelers, remote workers, or mountain adventurers looking for a quiet and convenient place to stay while exploring Calgary or heading west to the mountains.
The space features a cozy bedroom with a queen bed and small television, along with a beautifully renovated bathroom with a spacious dual-showerhead shower designed for comfort after a day of work or adventure.
One of the highlights of The Owlet is the dedicated work-from-home office space. The workspace includes a large desk positioned beside a window, an additional monitor, keyboard and mouse, printer, and a comfortable office chair—making it a great option for remote work or longer stays.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and includes a full-size stove and refrigerator along with a large island with stools that serves as both a dining area and additional storage space.
The living area includes a natural gas fireplace which helps keep the suite warm and comfortable year-round. The fireplace operates automatically using the thermostat, and guests can adjust the fan speed using the control knob located beneath the fireplace.
Large windows throughout the suite provide natural light and a comfortable atmosphere, making the space feel bright despite being located on the lower level.
Guest Access
Guests access the suite through the backyard entrance.
From the driveway, walk along the side of the house through the gate into the backyard. The entrance to the suite is located at the rear of the home. Guests will go down a short flight of stairs past the shared laundry area to reach the private entrance to the suite.
The property contains two separate suites within the home (main floor and basement) which are booked independently.
Parking
The Owlet uses free street parking, which is typically easy to find on the quiet residential street.
(The driveway is reserved for guests staying in the upstairs suite.)
