Wake up to sweeping Pacific vistas, linger over your morning coffee as the mist lifts off the water, and end each day watching the sun dissolve into a West Coast horizon from your private patio. This is what it feels like to actually switch off.
And it's only a 20-minute ferry ride away. Bowen Island sits just across the water from the city, but the moment you step off the boat, the pace changes completely — salt air, towering firs, and a quiet that's hard to find anywhere else.
When the evening draws in, the bedroom fireplace comes into its own. There's something quietly meditative about drifting off to the flicker of a fire after a day of sea air and slow walks — it turns a good night's sleep into something you'll actually look forward to.
The suite is spacious and thoughtfully set up for a proper escape — a generous living area, a dedicated workspace, a dining space for meals in, a private bathroom, and a kitchenette with a small fridge and air fryer for when you'd rather stay in and savour the stillness. When you do venture out, the island's beaches, forest trails, and charming village are all waiting.
Getting here & getting around: Bowen Island is a quick 20-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. A car is recommended to make the most of the island — public transit on Bowen is limited, and having your own wheels opens up the beaches, trails, and hidden corners that make it special. Arriving by bike? We're happy to arrange a pick-up from the ferry dock for a small additional fee — just reach out before your trip.
