You'll be havin' some fun at "Under the Boardwalk", our cheery first floor condo across the street from the beach (access #28) in Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island. Enjoy beach living in this beautiful space that is all your own! Centrally located nearby to all the activities Amelia Island has to offer. Great restaurants, family fun or take a relaxing beach vacation. We are a stones throw from the beach and close to golf courses, state parks, Jacksonville Zoo and much more!

*Please note that all bookings include a 3 day starter package of soaps, shampoos, paper towels and toilet paper. Guests may need to re-stock these items if booked for longer than 3 days.

Great location, across the street from 2 beach access points. Close to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Nice to be able to have our dog with us. Only issue was when we took her out to go the bathroom there were prickly buds that stuck to her fur in the grass. Nice condo with plenty of supplies including beach chairs and umbrella. The master bathroom had a musty smell to it. The condo could use some updates but worth the price paid. The owners were great and easy to contact if there were issues. We will be back!

Under the boardwalk is comfortable, cozy and convenient. It has everything you need for short or long stay. Easy beach access and close to down town. Look forward to staying here again in the future.

Good location but could use some love

This property was convenient to two different beach access locations. It was also nice to be able to walk to a local restaurant and there's a paved walking path nearby. An added bonus was that there was a gopher tortoise digging his den near the parking area and we caught him grazing on the property a few times. You will share the back area with the guests upstairs. The place just needs some love. If the bathroom was remodeled and the outdoor areas were spruced up a bit so they could be usable for hanging out, we'd have given it five stars.

Clean and convenient! Only 3 mins to walk to the beach

Just ended a girls trip and had a blast. The unit was clean, convenient to restaurants and the beach. Everything worked as it should. Hosts were easy to reach and super helpful! Would definitely stay here again!!

No flubbing this one...It's exactly as portrayed...and it's awesome

stayed from wednesday to saturday with 3 other adults and two pups...location was perfect to access beach right across street...the downstairs area we rented exceeded our needs and wants...the owners made a booklet that helped with any questions visitors might pose...and they attempted to address any issues that may arise while there like forgetting beach chairs or boogie boards...putting extra linen in each closet and extra lamps in case a bulb blew...i just appreciated the home feel versus the hotel vibe this place gave...so I would/will definitely look to rent again from these owners and at this specific location...it's that comfortable and cozy for 2 or for family with kids and/or pets...the only reason it does not get solid 5s across the board, is we only heard from the owners via vrbo messaging two times; one letting us know they were excited to have us rent the place, and the second was to inform them we would be joined by our pets when staying there as they forgot to include that in the agreement and we did not want any blowback about bringing our two pups along...they eventually apologized for not returning our message sooner and indicated having the pets there was absolutely no issue...so this is as close to a great review as i can generate...

Needs work

Close to the beach! Bathroom needs renovation, shower doors are digesting and paint peeling off ceiling in shower, needs new toilet seat, outlet by sink doesn’t work with hair dryer and NO HAND SOAP! Broken window shade in bedroom 1. Couldn’t get thermostat to work despite directions from owner. Asked for blankets but never got them. The one that was there had dog vomit on it! Needs all new bedding and towels, stained! There were a few new towels we just had to wash them. Washer and dryer gaskets were moldy. Need can opener and some plastic containers w/lids. Windows need washing inside and out. Needs landscaping. We had to wash the patio set before using, it was filthy. We made do for the week but this place needs work!

Loved It

Stayed with my husband and our dog while visiting family. It was perfect for us. Location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and points of interest. The beach is across the street. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and bedrooms, good quality TVs, games, puzzles, and books. We would definitely stay here again,

Family Christmas trip

The location near the beach was perfect for daily walks to look for shells. The house was well stocked with all we needed. The well supplied kitchen with dishes and cooking pans and utensils helped us enjoy meals at the condo.

Rest and Relax!

We really enjoyed our week! Our host was very easy to work with and answered any questions very quickly. The space was clean and comfortable. It was very close to the beach and restaurants and shops were only 10 minutes away! We had a great time. Darin was quick to solve a water problem in the other unit at the house and made sure we were not inconvenienced. We loved that we could bring our dig! We would definately stay here again!

Under The Boardwalk

The location is near the beach. We could load our cart and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. It has 2 convenient spots to wash off sand before heading back into the place. The place felt bigger than it looked in the pictures. There is also a spot out back and in front to sit and read if the weather is good. Once we got on the island we didn't leave it until time to head home. We went sailing, we hit the beach, we went sight seeing, we ate tons, we did puzzles, and we just enjoyed being with family!

Perfect girl’s weekend

The condo was clean, very well stocked kitchen, plenty of beach towels, and a nice updated bath. A very prompt reply from the host was always received using VRBO messenger. Very easy beach access & convenient to downtown Fernandina. I would definitely book another stay.

Perfect Location

We were very pleased with Under the Boardwalk. Hosts were quick to answer questions. Size was perfect for the three of us. Kitchen was equipped with all we could need. The unit is between two beach accesses. It was a quick walk to the beach. Outside furniture was comfortable.

Great beach cottage

Very clean with great AC and comfortable beds and more towels than you would ever need. We did not need it for our short stay but a washer and dryer is always a plus. Kitchen was compact, but had everything the family would need to stay there! A short five minute walk to the beautiful beach. And restaurants and stores all seem to be 6 to 8 minutes away in Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach.

The apartment was nice. The A/C did not work for the first two days. Called owner who said it was working for the last guest. Said I was probably not working thermostat correct. I did everything I could to fix the problem. Owner finally came over on Wednesday to look to see what was going on. He finally called the repairman who came and fixed the unit. The thermostat had nothing to do with the problem. We did have cool air for one night. I paid for an apartment with A/C. I feel that I need to be compensated some how for having to sleep in an apartment where it was 80 degrees.

Cozy with all the necessities

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was so close to the beach and walkable to several restaurants and shops. Very cozy and cared for. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely rent again!
