Exceptional log home situated on Lake Superior down a private road on the beautiful and historic Keweenaw Peninsula. Just 10 miles to Houghton and Hancock, it’s the perfect gateway to the natural wonders of historic “Copper Country”. For the adventurous, enjoy hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking or rent an ATV and experience the almost unlimited trails that the UP has to offer.

Back at the log cabin, enjoy a gourmet kitchen, well appointed bedrooms and a great room with 20 foot high ceilings and spectacular views of the lake. At day’s end, sit back and relax to a fire on the shores of the Great Lake watching spectacular sunsets fade into magnificent starscapes.

We had a wonderful time - enjoyed the beach and the property! The master bed was very comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Would stay again if we were in the area.

The host was very accommodating and provided good instructions and welcome information. The house was so beautiful! We hosted family and friends to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Michigan Tech. We appreciated how well the kitchen was equipped with dishes, kitchen tools, and everything we needed to host our gathering.

This was our second time staying at the log home. The home is clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen with just about everything you could ever need. We will definitely book again in the future.

Beautiful and Peaceful Lake Superior Property

Property has EVERYTHING you could possibly need and more including, and best of all, a beautiful beach and sunsets! Location was great. Very close to Houghton and Hancock but also convenient for exploring other areas of the Keweenaw Peninsula including Copper Harbor and the Porcupine Mountains.

Picturesque beach front log cabin in secluded woods

Our stay at the Atlantic Mine log home was incomparable. The home was very spacious and fully appointed with a breathtaking private beachfront. Could not have asked for more.

This home is amazing. It has everything you need for your comfortable stay. It is quite remote, somewhat off the grid - which is exactly what we were looking for. During our stay, the lake was angry, an awesome sight to see and feel. The next day it was calm, allowed for a wonderful sunset that turned into the rise of a full moon. Wow!!

Very well stocked home, neat and clean. Kitchen has everything needed. Check in was very easy. Everything was as pictured other than the back of the house to the beach area. There is a path through over grown shrubs and roots to the beach. (Being city people it made us uncomfortable to go to the beach after dark) Owner was easy to work with and we added an extra day. Lots to do in the area or just enjoy the house.

This is our 4th time staying here, so yeah, that probably says a lot about what I think of both the hosts and the property. My family absolutely loves it here, and this trip did not disappoint. We love the beach and spent a great deal of time there. Got lucky on most days with super calm waters that we swam in by the fire.We don't get cell service up here, and the wifi doesn't reach the beach...and that's fine by us, it's nice getting the entire family off the devices and spending time together!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the UP at this beautiful place. House had all the comforts of home while still feeling secluded for a get-away. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and couldn’t get enough of the stunning sunsets.

Perfect for family time

This home is truly exceptional! We had a fantastic stay for MTU graduation weekend. Plenty of room for 4 young adults, parents and grandma. We enjoyed the big kitchen, the cozy fireplace, the comfy beds and especially the view. Bonfires on the beach, sunsets and stargazing made this a 5 star experience!

Lake retreat

This was a lovely place to stay for our family vacation. The sunsets were amazing. The beach was relaxing with the fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The house itself was very clean and well-stocked for cooking our family meals. The king-size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. There was no air conditioning, but there were fans stored in the closets to use. The house does sit close to the road, but it wasn’t a problem. The traffic was minimal. It is quiet and peaceful.
