Studio loft detached from main house with beautiful views overlooking Shallow Creek. Enjoy all of the amenities that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer including great crabbing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming all from your own private pier. As an option, enjoy a family private cruise on our 34 foot SeaRay and or fishing/crabbing trips on our 20 foot Mako Center Console depending on season (ask if interested; additional cost). You can catch fish and crab at the end of the pier all day! Always welcome to bring your own boat as well.

Have our home become yours on your private getaway. Located 1 mile from North Point State Park and Fort Howard Park as well as 25 minutes from BWI and Downtown Baltimore. Minutes from Trade Point Atlantic.

Great for bird watching as well!

Great location, great host

This adorable loft style apartment right on the water was the perfect getaway! The hosts were responsive in generous with their time (and wonderful recommendations for local food and fun). Would totally go back again!

Anniversary Vacay

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Lovely location, peaceful, relaxing.. The family is so sweet. It was a pleasure interacting with them. Shawn took us out Fishing/ Crabbing. We caught some perch and 25 blue channel crabs, which Shawn cooked up for us. BEST Crab we’ve ever had! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for making our vacation truly enjoyable. Beauty and simplicity on the bay

Beautiful setting. Loved that it was right on the water and kayaks were readily available and encouraged to use. Appreciated the full towel sets, microwave and antique fridge. It was a cozy studio and decorations were nice. Brendan and family were friendly and accommodating. Would like a bit more direction about check in, contact, and local recommendations. We got great ones from Brendan and Joe when we met them. Might be helpful to have something in writing available. We enjoyed ourselves.

Best Vacation ever!

I rented the "Shore Shack" for my 13 yr. old son and I. We needed a break from the last year of cyber school and COVID life. This was the perfect place for it. Electronics were left at home and we were able to enjoy 6 days and 5 nights of fresh air! We kayaked everyday, soaked in the beautiful views, enjoyed walking North Point state park and explored Fort Howard. This was literally all in our backyard! This was the perfect retreat to unwind, enjoy nature, wildlife, and meet some quality people. Brendan and his family are genuinely awesome! They welcomed us into their circle, took my son out crabbing, had great suggestions on where to go in the kayaks to find the perfect areas to swim and site see. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable for our week stay. We did spend time inside to get out of the sun and never felt we were on top of each other. My son and I highly recommend "The Shore Shack". This was our best vacation ever and we've taken many vacations to various destinations. That says a lot in my book when a child appreciates nature and the outdoors more than tourist destinations. Thank you Brendan, Joe, Chuck, Karen, Logan, and Zeus for such an awesome vacation and property!

Great little spot

We spent the weekend here and we’re made to feel like family, everything was nice and clean and the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet, we caught some huge catfish off the dock and had a great time, would definitely go back.

Would give it 10 stars if I could

We can’t recommend this place, and owners enough! Brendan was so flexible, with some unfortunate events, that led us bring our kids (ages 3 and 6) last minute, and adjustment of days. Communication was easy. The property was picturesque and peaceful. Our highlight was going kayaking at sunrise, and crabbing on their boat. Our 6 year old can’t stop talking about it! They were so welcoming, and our kiddos were calling Joe (Brendans dad) uncle Joe by the end of the trip, haha Trip was a perfect combination of relaxing and adventure. We drove 8 hours to get here, and was well worth it! Would love to come back again!

Peaceful on the bay

Lovely little spot to unwind and relax. We can't blame our host for unseasonably cold weather, rain, and wind! We were very comfortable although another towel rack and/or hooks in the bath would have been nice. Lots of thoughtful storage. Comfy bed and sofa.

Relaxing Weekend Away

We had a wonderful weekend getaway. The space had everything that we needed, including a beautiful direct view of the water (just as the listing indicates). Brendan seemed to think of everything (including plenty of cold bottled water in the fridge) and thoughtfully checked-in to see if we needed anything else. We enjoyed meeting him and some of his family (when they headed out on crabbing/fishing trips), and they generously invited us to join them on future excursions. We highly recommend this hidden gem.

Beautiful water view

Our stay was lovely, you can sit on the deck and see the water, or take a kayak out for a ride. Brendan is a great host and responsive during the stay!

Great Place!

My wife and I had a great anniversary weekend here. We watched the sunrise and then the birds for almost three hours one morning. We hiked at the State Park. Didn’t get a chance to kayak this time, but maybe next time!

Pandemic relief and reset

Brendan sent exact instructions how to get in so it was very easy. His home was exactly as pictured,...Quiet and relaxing with plenty of hiking trails at North Point State Park and exploring old ruins at Fort Howard.. We enjoyed meeting Brendan and his family, and the super friendly dogs.

Natural beauty and proximity to Baltimore

We highly recommend this special place! We were visiting friends in Baltimore and had a great 4-day stay here with our two kids ages 3 and 6. Brendan was very accommodating and communication was fast and easy. The apartment overlooks the bay and North Point State Park. Geese, ducks and other birds fly and settle on the water and docks. We had cold, clear weather and watched incredible moon-rises over the trees. In this peaceful setting we also enjoyed the firepit with friends. North Point State Park is just a 5 minutes drive and wonderful for walking or playing on the beach. We went a couple of times and low tide was particularly fun for the kids since we could walk out pretty far in the sand. The park also has really cool haunting remnants of an old Victorian pleasure park. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and toasty warm despite the cold snap. We brought snacks and meals to heat up in the microwave and toaster oven, and also had an incredible seafood dinner taken out from Costas. We want to come back in the summer when we can catch crabs ourselves! Thank you Brendan and Fam!

Perfect spot to kayak!

We stayed just one night - a break from pandemic life at home with 3 kids. The place was a perfect, cozy getaway for the two of us! We kayaked Friday afternoon when we arrived and again Saturday morning. I would feel safe kayaking with my kids here as well - lots and lots of shallows to explore with no major boat traffic. We met a bunch of geese, some herons, and a family of deer that was out for a swim. Looks to be great for fishing and crabbing, too, although we didn't do any of that. (Dock is equipped with a fantastic fish cleaning basin.) If you're adventurous enough, you can paddle right out into the bay and explore nearby parks. The cabin itself is newly renovated, with a private entrance... quiet and peaceful. Beautiful dock, lovely 2nd story deck, adirondack chairs in the yard... all with water views. A perfect place to get away without going far! Our hosts also offered to take us out fishing or exploring on the boat (wow!), but we just wanted to chill. :) Would definitely recommend!!

Great weekend

This little spot was a gem! The place was great and had everything we needed. The decor was very comfy and updated. My only wish was that we got there early to start our weekend! Would visit again!

Peaceful getaway

This was a beautiful waterfront property, very close to North Point State Park. The hosts were kind enough to lend us kayaks. At dusk for our sunset paddle, we saw jellyfish, geese, great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks, and a bald eagle. We are excited to visit again sometime soon.

Amazing and super cozy place

It was great staying at Brendan’s place. He was so nice since the first day we got in contact, very helpful with all my concerns, he helped us with kaiaking, left a bunch of recommendations about what to do and where to go, and I even met his dad (nice fellow) once I checked in the property. The place is truly amazing, quiet, cozy, clean and with an amazing view. All I needed. Definitely I would love to stay again. Thanks, Brendan! You’re an awesome host.

Great trip and an even better view

My husband and I wanted to escape quarantine for a little to celebrate our anniversary. I wanted a view and we wanted to be able to kayak and this place had both. Brendan was a great host who left us a list restaurant options and places to visit. We went to both state parks nearby and loved the views. We ate at Cruisers for a quick (very unhealthy but worth it) bite and Costas for crab the next day. Brendan let us use the kayaks and we spent awhile on the water and he made sure we made it back safely. Nice breweries nearby and we even got to meet his Dad who was also very nice and accommodating! We had a blast! My only advice is if you’re tall like my husband (he’s 6’2) the bed might feel a little short but I’d say otherwise it was very clean and welcoming. I’d highly recommend!

Hidden Gem

My wife and I are pretty heavy travelers and this is by far was one of the best experiences that we've had. Property is absolutely perfect for traveling couples. Great location, easily accessible to restaurants and stores. Short drive to inner harbor and Annapolis. Host was incredibly cordial and attentive the entire time while being close enough to address issues but far enough to allow privacy. We will definitely be making a return trip. Thanks again for everything B.

Would definitely stay here again!!

Had a great experience renting from Brendan...he was very flexible with my change of schedule and communication was great. The place was beautiful and clean. He left kayaks for using which was really nice. And having access to the water is a hugh plus. The fire pit was also nice at night plus to cook on. There's plenty to do in the area or just enjoy all the property has to offer. Looking forward to renting here again!! You won't be disappointed especially for the price.
