Bear Mountain Lodge is in the Shenandoah mountains. Less than 10 minutes to the Skyline Drive Front Royal entrance. Enjoy hiking trails, the Shenandoah River, wineries, and all of what Front Royal has to offer. Property sits on approx. 6 acres.

This was an excellent property. The house was well equipped and spotless. The location was in a neighborhood but the houses were several acres apart so there was no concern about privacy, or noise. Nice views of the surrounding hills and the fall foliage. The property is 15 minutes outside of Front Royal and an easy commute to numerous wineries. We enjoyed the brand new tasting room at Reitano Vinyard. We contacted the owner for help with some minor issues and got immediate assistance. We would gladly return to this location again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The view of the mountain ridge is absolutely stunning.. truly the kind of scenery you could admire all day. The space was clean, cozy, and comfortable inside, and the outdoor areas were just as enjoyable.Our trip came with an unexpected bonus: we were lucky enough to see the northern lights one night! It made an already beautiful location feel magical.Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible views, both inside and out. We’d definitely stay here again!

Stunning views of the mountains from the deck and hot tub, and especially through the large windows. We loved mornings in the living room, which has gorgeous views, a fireplace, cozy spots to curl up and plenty of space for our toddler to play. We had a wonderful stay for just a couple of days in late fall, but this would be a lovely spot year-round. Plenty of space even for a larger family. The whole house was very clean, with one of the best rental kitchens we’ve seen and comfortable beds. We will definitely stay here again!

My wife and wanted a short and sweet trip for the weekend and this was the perfect place. Loved the views. Sunrise from the wall of windows was beautiful. Place was beautiful.

This was a perfect house for a group getaway! The property is immaculate with beautiful views. We had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The location is so convenient to downtown and great wineries. Would definitely stay here again

Great location for Shenandoah, terrific view

My friends and I really enjoyed our getaway to Shenandoah and stay at Bear Mountain Lodge. The home was perfect for our needs. It was well stocked with utensils, and very comfortable (with lots of bear decor!). The home features stunning views of the surrounding hills and you can hear sounds of the stream below. The home has ample outdoor seating as well as indoor entertainment (games and tv). We recommend Rappahannock Cellars, which is just a short drive away, and of course Skyline Drive and Shenandoah hiking.

Mountain Retreat

The perfect mountain home for a relaxing getaway! The proximity to the Front Royal Entrance to the Shenandoah National Park and the town was a plus! We saw deer (with a baby), rabbits, and tons of beautiful birds on the property.The house is nicely updated with all the amenities one could want. They have thought of everything!I would highly recommend this mountain home for a relaxing and adventurous family getaway!

The perfect size for a family of five. The hot tub with a view was a great amenity. Also very close to down town front royal and flint hill that has some great restaurants.

Amazing views and stars

Me and my friends who were visiting from Canada had a wonderful time at this property. The property has been kept in an immaculate condition and the views are just amazing. The host was very responsive and we can’t wait to visit again.

Great place to stargaze

Great and communicative host. Very accommodating. Spent a few hours in the hot tub enjoying the stars. Great kitchen to cook a lovely meal. Would stay again!

Great location!

We loved seeing all the deer just down the road from the house - LOTS of activity in the AM & PM! Beautiful views and the location so close to Skyline Drive with hikes, wineries, etc. was perfect.

Hiking Retreat

My wife and I enjoyed the house as a comfortable place to relax after hikes in the nearby Shenandoah National Park. We highly recommend this VRBO property.
