Great Experience at Casa del Sol and Fortunate Winery

We had such a great time at Casa del Sol and the winery. Our daughter was married at the winery and they hosted the reception too. Everything was great and this house was so convenient and comfortable to stay in. Great place and the host was amazing. So kind and helpful throughout the process and stay. Highly recommend all of it.

Great option

We stayed for a wedding at Winery and it was the perfect option. Very spacious and clean with all of the necessities. It could use some maintenance and a grill but otherwise it was significantly better than I expected. I hate to admit it but they could have easily charged double the price and I would have felt that was fair. This is an excellent place to stay for the price. If you are coming to Aubrey for anything related to Winery this is a no brainer property to stay at. We had a lot of fun.

Excellent location! Listing Needs Updated

We rented out the house for our family to stay in for my daughter's graduation from UNT. It was great to be close to the university as well as have the winery on the premises to gather with other friends who were staying in the other villas. The only issue we had was some of the cleanliness of the outside. The pool and patio were not very clean and did not seem to be taken care of routinely. The lawn also needed to be mowed. I asked the owner 2x about the sofa bed and the futon being operational. This was in a previous review that they were not. I did not get a direct answer. They were not. Also, the listing states there is a grill but the grill has been removed. Overall, we did enjoy the stay and the inside was spacious and clean. With the current situation, it truly only sleeps 6 comfortably.

good location for our weekend

House was nice, but not many ammenities. No good size coffee mugs, kleenex, couch uncomfortable. would have been nice to have a complimentary bottle of wine from the winery. Ha!

Nice Property Horrible Owner

If you are someone who values communication, then this is NOT the place for you. We don't mind being left alone, but we NEVER received ANYTHING from the owner before or during our stay. And I mean ANYTHING...not even check-in instructions or contact information. I will admit that we were a late reservation (reserved the day before our trip), but that doesn't negate the absolutely HORRIBLE treatment/lack of acknowledgement from the owner. Upon arrival, front door was locked. Had no instructions from the owner, nor any contact information, so I had to send a message via VRBO. Owner NEVER responded the entire weekend! If I hadn't decided to take a chance and walk around to check the back doors (which one happened to be unlocked), then I don't know what we would have done...we live 4 hours away from the property, so it would have been a wasted trip. With that, allow to list my positives and negatives about the property/trip: Positive: - Nice updated home (master bath and closet are quite nice) - Good location/privacy: though the backyard is comprised of a privacy fence around 1/2 of the yard, the remaining is a metal fence/gate that faces the road/entrance/exit to the vineyard, so not 100% private. - Swimming Pool/Back Patio (though pool was slightly dirty and no supplies to clean it) - Vineyard on the property (about 100 yards away) Negative: -Owner Communication - Master bed very uncomfortable (unless you like very firm mattresses) - Inaccurate Listing: shows a built in grill, but grill has been removed. There is a portable grill, but it is old and filthy and there was no propane. Ruined our plans of having a steak dinner for our anniversary. -Owner Communication - No TV: well, there is a TV in the living room, but no "cable." There is a firestick that wouldn't allow us to sign-in. - OWNER COMMUNICATION: only time I was able to find contact information for anyone was AFTER I got inside. There are cameras facing entry/exits, but they either don't work or aren't monitored because even with us "breaking in" we still never received an email or phone call. With no code for the front door, we had to leave doors unlocked any time we left the house. Cleanliness is a question mark; looked like stopped halfway, and not sure we had fresh sheets as the fitted sheet was inside out. Overall, we had a good time, no thanks to the owner! But that's enough to make us question whether or not we would return to this property; which is a shame!

Great weekend!

What a great property for our ladies' weekend! Very nice and roomy. Great living area and backyard with pool. The location on the grounds of the winery was perfection - we just walked over and enjoyed the live music and amazing food and service. The wine was very, very good and I've been to Napa and Sonoma multiple times - I was shocked and impressed. Many wines to taste, too - not just a couple each white and red. We went there both Friday and Saturday nights.

Pictures don’t do it justice

This place was great! Pics don’t do it justice. We were very impressed with cleanliness, space, and everything overall. It definitely could sleep 10, I don’t think the description explains that well. There is also a pull out couch and futon in the living room. Only downside is that the communication with the owner was rough. He didn’t answer the messages in the inbox with VRBO so I had to call the winery to kind of track him down. Then I got my questions answered and the check in information. The winery was amazing, we have gone before. And went during our stay. The pool was one of the best features. Overall loved our stay

Poor communication and not as expected

Terrible communication - never responded to text message and sent door code 2 hours after checkin time even after asking. No directions for checkout. Backyard photos misleading. Both pool and grill were quite dirty. Not sufficient linens or seating for the 10 that can allegedly sleep here. Kitchen is missing some key items that make cooking a challenge. You’ll need to bring your own scrub brushes, cookie sheet, etc. Tons of wine glasses, though. Bathrooms are exceptionally nice. House was clean. The property has potential but it has not yet been realized and there is no attention to details. Communication was biggest frustration.
