Come relax by the fireplace, poor yourself a glass of wine and let the stress of the world slip away.

Enjoy your morning cup of coffee sitting in a rocking chair on the large front deck. Take relaxing walks on the 4 community hiking trails through forests, along streams and waterfalls. Schedule a horseback riding lesson, or trail ride right in the neighborhood (Contact Bent Tree Stables for rates and availability). Spend the afternoon fishing for trout, channel catfish or bass on Lake Tamarack. Have dinner and drinks at "The Tavern at the 19th Hole". Enjoy the sunset among the forest on the comfortable screened porch, then retire to the fireplace with a glass of wine.

Welcome to "The Twisted Branch" mountain lodge! A spacious 3 story, 4 bed, 4 bath retreat nestled in the all paved roads, gorgeous Bent Tree community of Jasper, GA. Get away from the crowded cities but still stay connected and take those important Zoom calls with up to 300Mbps Wi-Fi internet (5G), then relax the rest of the day with friends and family. Enjoy the huge Great Room with cathedral ceilings and a Southern facing window wall. Cook meals in the modern full kitchen and enjoy them at the large butcher-block table that seats 8 comfortably. Each bedroom features private access to a full bath with hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and essentials provided. All televisions are equipped with Roku so guests can log in to their streaming services or use Netflix that we offer with your stay.

Bent Tree is a place of uncommon natural beauty overlooked by the Appalachian Mountains. Take in area attractions such as Amicalola Falls, Burnt or Sharp Top mountains, go antiquing in the tiny town of Talking Rock, eat at one of the quirky restaurants in Ball Ground, enjoy a glass of wine at the nearby vineyards or just stay in the resort and enjoy golf, tennis, boating, horseback riding, or one of the two outdoor resort pools (open seasonally).

In accordance with VRBO Covid-19 cleaning recommendation, The Twisted Branch is thoroughly ventilated, cleaned and sanitized by PPE equipped cleaning staff after every stay.

We had 8 family members ENJOY the beauty and tranquility of this mountain home and it's surroundings for 7 days. As my brother so correctly stated, all a person needed to bring with was clothing and food. Our host, Crystal, had EVERYTHING else we needed and MORE ready for us to enjoy!!! Beautiful fall leaves, hiking trails, woodland creatures, especially deer, abounded. This was our 4th fall family trip over the years, and we agreed that Crystal's mountain home is our FAVORITE!!! THANK YOU for sharing your mountain retreat with us for our special fall adventure this year!!!

Beautiful house and location

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed. The bedrooms each had a bathroom, which was a big plus. Plenty of space for everyone. There is an abundance of wildlife. We saw many deer, bears and turkeys. One day a bear actually walked down the back steps, so be cautious! The Bent Tree community has much to offer. The pools and tennis courts are not far from the house. It's a beautiful area. We a wonderful time there.

Great location! Walking distance to pool for ease of taking littles for a quick dip. Enjoyed the space and the opportunity to see the wildlife walk right past you! Very well stocked and organized household made the stay easier without having the need to bring the necessities. Plenty of space for our group of 7 to enjoy and relax and still keep the kids entertained.

golf weekend

Our family stayed Thursday-Sunday for a family golf weekend. The house were clean and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped. We were at the end of the road in a cul-de-sac so it was very quiet with lots of trees. We saw a bear with 3 cubs walking behind the cabin and lots of deer.It rained so the guys were not able to play golf. However, we had so much fun we decied to make it an annual trip. The owner was very easy to get in touch with.

Peaceful Family Time

Thank you so much for providing such a warm and comfortable home. The communication was awesome and checking in was a breeze. It looks exactly as pictured. So cute, quiet, and peaceful. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We loved the comfy beds, the rocking chairs on the porch, the fireplace, and the firepit for toasting smores. The community was lovely. We went horseback riding, saw a family of bears and lots of deer. What more could you ask for? It felt like a little home away from home. We want to come back!

Best VRBO We’ve Stayed in

We rented “Twisted Branch” for our daughter’s wedding in the Bent Tree community. We found the cabin to be flawless & spotless. By far it was the best equipped vacation rental we have ever rented( we have rented VRBO’s all over Europe & North America) I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone having a large gathering as the four bedrooms & 4 bathrooms give you plenty of space. The kitchen is the best equipped I’ve ever stayed in. My family loved that there was plenty of space for everyone( we were a party of 7). Regards Claudia & Ken Woodruff

Not the best but not the worst

The house is adequate but it should be stated in the information that this is not a suitable place for anyone with any type of mobility problems. The house has many steps and the entrance stairs are unusual in that they are different widths and the heights are very shallow. We didn’t feel like the house had been inspected well as there were dirty washclothes in one bathroom , and there was one bathroom where no towels had been put out at all. We also found pillows with dirty pillow cases thrown in the bottom of one closet. The roads accessing the house are very very narrow and quite steep. I had a driver and I was glad because especially at night the roads felt very dangerous. The mirrors in at least 2 bathrooms were hung very low which required the users ( 5’ 5” to 5’7”)to bend over in order to see the tops of their heads. The surrounding area is very pretty and the outdoor space with the house is quite nice. The instructions in the guest book do not agree with what is posted on line so the two need to be synced.

A Great House

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The teens LOVED the game room. It’s in a beautiful setting which encouraged hikes. We would rent again and recommend it to friends.

Beautiful home, peaceful getaway

This is a beautiful home in the north Georgia mountains… a perfect getaway. We hiked a different trail everyday, watched deer and wild turkeys from the house, roasted marshmallows, and tried several local restaurants. A lot of little details added up to make our stay almost effortless. There was more space in the home than we expected. The kids loved playing pool and foos ball downstairs. We made great memories and can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful long weekend away with friends

We loved our time at the spacious house, kids were free to run around while we cooked, ate and enjoyed our time together. We loved the amount of sunlight the main room got during the day too. We visited a local brewery and winery not more than 20 mins away from the house and had a wonderful time!

Magical getaway

To say we had an Amazing time would be an understatement. Our purpose was to spend New Years in the mountains but the level of peace and relaxation we hadn’t anticipated. The cabin was cozy and spectacular, we were sooo comfortable there, each group got their own room with private bathroom which was a life saver for a party of 8. We were visited by deers on a daily basis, flock of turkeys were spotted 2 days in a row and we even spotted 2 bears from the deck one of the days. Our dog had the greatest time sniffing, listening and looking at everything nature offered. Cabin is a short walk away from tennis court, with really low prices for visitors so we managed to enjoy it. The best part was the Spillway: the lake views, the river, the falls by the trail were breathtaking. My husband enjoyed to the fullest the game room so much that he spent most of the time there. It was the best decision made and a destination worthy to return to. Thank you to the owners for the great communication and the smooth check-in and check-out process
