The Coldbrook House is a conveniently-secluded ski home located in Wilmington, VT - a quaint but accessible ski destination minutes to Mount Snow. The home is situated on 500 feet of pristine Coldbrook River frontage that is yours to enjoy at all 4 seasons.

The modern ski home spans 4,000 sq. ft with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths accommodating 13 guests in beds. Other amenities include 7-person hot tub, high-speed internet, cell signal booster, pool table & shuffleboard, DirectTV with NFL Sunday Ticket, and Sonos whole-home wifi speaker system.

The heart of the (adult) home is the kitchen, dining, and great room. The kitchen is professionally equipped with a Wolf range, SubZero refrigerator, and beverage fridge along with a wide assortment of kitchenware that you will need to cook Thanksgiving dinner for 15 or a pre-ski breakfast for the whole family. The eat-in kitchen and island can accommodate 8 and the live-edge dining table can accommodate 8 more! The vaulted ceiling great room is framed by an 18-foot custom wood burning fireplace and chandelier to set the mood on those chilly Fall and Winter days. Relax with a cocktail or glass of wine around the fire while the kids play in the basement.

In the warmer months, find yourself enjoying the back deck with a cup of coffee on the L-shaped lounge. Fire up the gas grill and have a cook-out, or simply enjoy a beer while taking in the sounds and beauty of the Coldbrook river at the outdoor dining table.

The heart of the (young & old kids) home is the walk-out finished basement housing a pool table, shuffleboard, dartboard, gas fireplace, 2 TVs, Xbox, and a wide range of streaming apps.

The main-level master suite offers easy access to the back deck via a private entrance and a beautiful canopy king bed along with a TV. The master on-suite leads to dual vanities, a jetted jacuzzi tub, a walk-in shower with custom river rock tile, and a private toilet.

Upstairs you are greeted to an expansive loft area with multiple sitting areas, a desk, and a Juliet balcony with a sitting area that is beautifully private. The upstairs full bath offers an expansive layout with a shower/tub combo and rainshower. It easily accommodates the two bedrooms it services as well as bath time for the kids!

The Green Room & White Room are our two upstairs bedrooms which offer queen beds, sitting areas, and ample storage. Located at opposite ends of the home, they are quiet and secluded and provide amazing light no matter what season.

In the finished basement, you’ll find 2 additional bedrooms. The Downstairs King offers a large king bed, storage, and easy access to the hot tub and game rooms. The Bunk Room (aka the kid's room) is equipped with 2 bunk beds (one single over single and one with single over double) along with plenty of storage for toys and luggage as well as easy access to the basement game room!

This was one of the best short term rentals we have ever done. We decided to spend our Christmas here and it was the perfect choice.The chalet is so charming and well equipped, with nice details provided in bathrooms and living areas. If you are inclined to home cooking (as we were), the kitchen is a standout. Subzero fridge with lots of space and a large Wolf range. Lots of dishes, pots, cutlery, glasses, etc. Dining area fits 8 easily and kitchen island is perfect for gathering around while cooking.The owners were very responsive to any queries we had. The location is terrific with easy access to Mount Snow (were we went to ski) and good markets nearby within about 10 - 15 mins.We strongly recommend The Coldbrook House if you're planning a trip to sourthern Vermont.
Big fireplace with plenty of firewood provided.
Back of the house sits above a beautiful brook - magical with all the snow.

Gorgeous house in a beautiful setting! We loved how well equipped it was - from the coffee grinder to the piles of readily available firewood!For a group of 30somethings dog, it was ideal. The town was cute and the hiking in the area was stunning. The sound of the river while sitting at the fire pit cannot be beat. Thoughtful touches like the bean bag stools under the puzzle table and the very detailed welcome book made this rental stand out as extra special. A fabulous vacation house that our group wished we could stay at longer!

Beautiful House and Property

The most under reported feature of the property we found was the sound of the stream/brook in the back yard. Sitting by the outdoor fire listening to the babbling brook was very relaxing. That alone was worth the stay! The house is very accurately portrayed in the photos and the hosts were excellent communicators.

Amazing Stay

Our group had a fantastic stay at the Coldbrook house. Layout was great with so many amenities and room to spread out. It was like staying at your favorite family member’s house. If you needed something or had a problem that wasn’t even related to the house, there was Dewey with a solution. The only problem was that we couldn’t stay longer.

Coldbrook House

The Coldbrook House was a fantastic house close to all that Southern Vermont has to offer. The property was immaculate, modern and decorated beautifully with everything you would need to enjoy summer in Vermont. The kitchen is gourmet, beautiful bathrooms, beds and bedrooms for everyone and the lower level has pool, darts and shuffleboard! And the babbling brook behind the home is a lovely backdrop that could be enjoyed from the massive back deck. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a family.

Gosh this is nice

I'm reluctant to even leave this review because I want to go back for ski season and its already all booked up. Ill skip saying how nice the area is, you must know this, thats why youre looking right? But the house... where to begin? Ill try and make it short. Its a brand new house, and everything is top of the line. Everything. Inside and out. From countertops to tile to flooring to whatever, its spotless and gleaming. Even the garage is tidy and organized. You get the impression that Dewey and his wife are not cashing in on some investment property, they are just sharing their lovely home with you. I mean, they have the fancy soft paper towels and toilet paper. They care. Downstairs is paradise for kids, Pool table, shuffleboard, and darts, again, all in mint condition. Two tvs, large comfy couch, xbox, this is all in the listing but it bears repeating its just so cozy. The bathroom shower downstairs is Lannister castle level awesome. The hot tub is huge and clean, the grill is quality. The firepit is lovely. The "babbling brook." Guess what, that not blowing smoke, that brook really babbles, loudly. Theres nothing your mind can conjure up that they havent thought to provide. Any possible kitchen utensil is available and fastidiously organized. There are games for kids, for adults (card games, relax) We had a snafu upon checking in that was no fault of the homeowner, Dewey was immediately available, affable, and helpful. Im out of room, simply: 10/10

Delightful Vermont Getaway

This is an incredible place to stay. The house is lovelier than the pictures can do justice and its appointed with everything you need for a fun and comfortable stay. The location was close to two small towns but also felt secluded. The house almost had too many great things we couldn't enjoy them all as much as we wanted. Between the firepit with ample wood, the hotub looking up at the stars, the deck with comfortable couch and grill for al fresco meals, the softest bedding while you listened to the creek lull you to sleep, huge kitchen with everything you need to cook, the game room with the most comfortable couch I've ever sat on, three TVs, board games a plenty, assortment of books to read, side deck with rocking chairs and more. The house was well-decorated and well-appointed. Dewey was friendly, responsive, and an excellent host. The house guidebook provided all the answers you'd need and the local recs were spot on!

Hett 50th

We chose the Coldbrook house to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family because of the Vermont location and Deweys excellent pictorial representation on vrbo. It was a beautiful, immaculately clean house with a great country location along the woods with a clear water creek the sound of which soothed us to sleep. The house was spacious for our family of 14. The walkout basement and first floor deck faced the creek for enjoyable sitting and grilling. Dewey is the quintessential host. There were games lining the wooden bookcases, ample sparkling clean glassware, plush linens, comfy reclining chairs, spacious open floor plans to accommodate family gatherings, books ready to accompany us on a lazy afternoon, and a detailed list of local favorite eateries. We enjoyed happy hour on the sumptuous deck sectionals overlooking the wooded Vermont wilderness listening to the babbling brook and playing competitive games of corn hole. After dinner we enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit toasting marshmallows and enjoying the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything one needed Although the the second floor bathroom facet didn’t work, maintenance was there. Dewey coordinated to get it fixed promptly, and for our inconvenience delivered several bottles of wine and a 12 pack of beer. Thank you Dewey for an amazing stay! We will continue to cherish these memories for years to come.

attention to detail!

perfect getaway with a house that felt brand new. perfect decor, excellent layout of rooms. great playroom for the kids. hot tub was amazing overlooking the small river in the back. fireplace with no tv in the sitting area allowed us to communicate instead of stare at a TV. great host as well. could not ask for more.
