The place was very nice. We loved the house and the area it was in. The host was quick to respond and helpful to any questions or concerns we had. An amazing place to stay for a a vacation or retreat, I definitely recommend it. My spouse and I were very happy with it. It was clean and very well taken care of. There's plenty of local things to do and places to eat and it is not far if you're wanting to travel to other nice areas. 10/10 recommendation

Amazing Getaway Perfect if you’re visiting The Caverns

Great stay, perfect distance to the Caverns if you are looking for a place to stay for any events! Nice little hiking trails on the property, there is a waterfall you can walk to as well. Nice little neighborhood playground if you have kids.

What an awesome trip!

The Goat House was an awesome place to stay. The surroundings were beautiful and it was quiet. My only suggestion is perhaps some bars in the shower, its very slippery. Perhaps a better mattress for the bed, however, everything else was very good.

Great Location for Traveling with Friends

I rented several of these homes for a surprise birthday weekend. The Goat House is one of two tiny homes on a large lot. This was perfect for two couples or closer friends to be near each other, share a firepit, and hang together outside of the party. These other house on this lot is the Birds Nest. Keep in mind you'll need to bring your own creamers and sugar for coffee if needed. My friends gave this house rave reviews and loved the privacy of it.

I enjoyed my stay!

Beautiful tiny home. However I was not able to enjoy the porch because of the condition of the porch and patio furniture and spider webs etc. Perhaps pressure washing or maybe at least a sweep and washing of cushions. Overall inside was clean and had good quality appliances. We had an issue with the temperature but was resolved in a timely professional manner. I enjoyed my stay.

Responsive to requests and issues

We had no hot water in our initial rental at Cozy Cottage, yet I was able to immediately reach someone by phone and had frequent communication updates. We changed our rental to Goat House, then requested blankets which were hand-delivered within 2 hours. The only negative experience was seeing a mouse trap & fecal waste under the bed & although the bed was comfy, it had a metal frame and was noisy every time we changed positions.

Perfect property for my needs

I needed some peace and quiet and The Retreat fit the bill. The house was well appointed and attractive and I had most everything I needed. Would rent again!

The Goat is truly Great!

The Goat is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We stayed at two properties during our stay and this one was the more secluded one of the two. (We also spent a night at the Alexander) The fire pit is shared with the other tiny house on the street. It wasn’t an issue during this stay, but it’s worth mentioning for those who might want a private experience. The fire pit was well stocked with wood and had plenty of chairs and tables. This was a great feature that we missed at the Alexander. We couldn’t figure out how to turn the string lights on but the property manager was able to help us located the cord that plugs into tue neighbors outdoor outlet. The kitchen had some of the basics but it was missing some measuring cups. It is fantastic that this tiny house had a dishwasher, washer, drier and gas stove in such a small space. All in all I would give this property a solid 5 stars! My family and I truly enjoyed our 2 nights at the Goat house and we can’t wait to plan another trip to tue Retreat at Deer Lick!

Quaint, quiet, secluded. Loved it!

With the exception of 5am wake-up calls from a neighborhood rooster, this property was amazing. There were just two of us, in town for a concert at The Caverns, and it was the perfect distance from the venue. The property and house were both clean, cool, quaint, and quiet. Highly recommended!

The Goat House is the GOAT

We absolutely adored this house and the Retreat at Deer Lick Falls tiny home community! The house was so cute, and we loved all of the tiny home community’s amenities, such as the fire pits and on-site trails (including a waterfall). The location was great for going to downtown Monteagle and South Cumberland State Park. The Goat House and tiny home community made our girls trip absolutely perfect. Hoping to come back in the future!

Modern tiny home

The home was exactly as it was listed. We found the space to be plenty for just the two of us. The loft is small and would be perfect for younger kids. There is a Keurig as well as a drip coffee pot which is really nice. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a charcoal grill on the deck. Lots of trails in the area as well as a trail with a waterfall at the back of the property .
