Neskowin Gem - Beach Front Property

If a stay in a cozy beach cabin full of character sounds like fun, this Neskowin vacation rental is for you! With ocean views from the house and easy beach access just steps away directly across from Proposal Rock, this home will help you get the most out of your coastal adventure.

The beach cabin may be small, but it has an efficient floor plan that makes the most of the limited space. There are 2 bedrooms both with queen beds. The one bedroom has a view of the ocean and its own door to the deck. The upstairs loft is accessible by a steep stair case, is an ideal place for children to play, and has the best view of the house! The loft is complete with 2 built in twin beds each with their own reading light, and USB charging port.

Next to the living room is an intimate dinning area with seating for 6 where your guests can sit and eat a nice meal together while telling stories and laughing together.

The full kitchen, just around the corner is well stocked with all the tools you need to cook up a hearty dinner after a day at the beach. And, with a stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and even a blender, your will have no trouble feeding your hungry vacationers.

The one-and-a-half bathrooms are also located on the main level, and one features a gorgeous claw-foot bathtub that would be great for a nice, relaxing bubble bath!

Outside, the large deck offers amazing ocean views, patio furniture and a gas grill. Just a short, 100' walk will take you to the edge of the sand, where you will be directly in front of the famous Proposal Rock, Neskowin's most recognizable landmark (at times the high tides can redirect the creek and wash sand out to the ocean).

Neskowin creek, which flows into the ocean just adjacent to the house is an amazing place to explore, and build sandcastles. You may choose to go for a walk along the beach, wade across the creek to get the café for a hot drink and stroll through Neskowin Village. This is very child friendly area with no busy roads or crowds of people.

Great Thanksgiving week

The family had a great time. It’s wonderful to be so close the ocean and also have the creek running by. At Thanksgiving time the creek water was pretty cold and ran high on occasion because of rain but we brought our surf booties and had fun traversing the creek and climbing Proposal rock. The kids loved the loft, too bad we all couldn’t sleep up there !

What a lovely spot

We had a lovely four nights at Family Tides. The location is perfect for accessing the beach to the south and the neighborhood is so very quiet. (While there, none of the neighboring houses were occupied which made it extra special!) The house has everything one could need and we particularly appreciated the fact that the kitchen was so well-appointed as we love to cook. All in all a wonderful place to enjoy lovely Neskowin, one of the jewels of the Oregon coast.

A beautiful, quiet spot to enjoy the coast and time with friends.

This was such a cute place to stay. We were blessed with perfect weather and enjoyed the easy beach access. The house was more than enough room for the 7 people in our party and it came equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away.

Excellent Comfortable Stay!!

Great property with view of Proposal Rock. There is a nice trail that leads to the Neskowin Creek. Depending on tide, can walk across the Creek to get out to the Rock & Ocean. Nice privacy with shrubs. However, a home right in front and couple in the back. Home well equipped and comfortable bed and furniture. The only shower is a four legged tub, which was a challenge to get into... Us as experienced beach home couple and great Pup, Myla, really enjoyed our stay!! Owner was great to work with!!

"Family Tides" stands in the most direct location to see both the Ocean, the Ocean Tides, and Proposal Rock!!! We have stayed there three years in a row and the Grandson's (ages 8 and 5) love it because they get to sleep in the loft and there own private setting and can easily jump outside and experience the wonder of Neskowin Beach!

Perfect little Ocean Cabin

The house is perfect for a great getaway and offers a stunning view of Proposal Rock/the Oregon Coast. During low tide, we find a few star fish, sea anemones on the west side of Proposal Rock. The river offered our girls a safer place to swim with little chance of riptides and sneaker waves. The south side of Proposal Rock where the Ghost forest sits, had sand banks which also offered a safer place to swim. The house has a cozy, old/rustic Oregon feel to it with updates to some areas. Without central A/C we had some concerns, but opening the windows/doors offered the sea breeze, which cooled down the house quickly. Our girls loved the upstairs as it offers a perfect child play/sleep area and the best views of the house. With easy access to Lincoln City, we had a magical stay.

Perfect place for relaxation that I didn't know I needed!

You know how when you go on vacation, you have a short list of things you want to see & do? I'm glad mine was short because the morning I first woke up in Neskowin this cozy cabin with the ethereal view of the foggy beach sucked me down into the perfectly placed comfy couch in front of the sliding glass doors to doze on and off throughout the morning. My work life had been so crazy the month or so before this vacation but I didn't know how much I needed to do absolutely nothing for a few hours. And even once I did get up and about to shop, hike or beach walk, it was the perfect place to welcome us home. I'm definitely going to keep this one on my list to return or at least recommend.

Great house in a nice gated community. We loved the proximity to the beach and the views of Proposal Rock. We had everything we needed to cook meals and appreciated the towels and toys for the beach so we could pack lighter. Place was clean and comfortable.

A beautiful week in Neskowin

We had a lovely June week at Family Tides. The place has that old school beach charm but is well kept and super clean and comfortable. The location was excellent just steps from the sand. Our lab really liked his beach play. We built a couple fires in the fire pit right at the house. We would definitely stay here again.

We has a wonderful time!

We had our grandchildren visiting from Florida and this was our second year at this property. It’s a beautiful location, just few hundred feet from the beach. Our plan is to book this place every summer and make it our family tradition. It’s very peaceful

Beachfront stay

Overall, we were happy with our stay. We loved how close we were to the beach, as well as the creek where our toddler could play. The clawfoot bathtub was great. We were surprised to see a swingset on the property, as well as being able to see the ocean and sunsets from the kitchen/living room area. If I were the host, I would definitely include these things in the listing! Some less-than-ideal finds included some trash on the floor in the master bedroom as well as by the firepit. The refrigerator had a metal bar on the bottom corner that stuck out each time you opened the door, and our daughter got hurt on this. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was rusting. The blinds in the living room don’t cover the glass sliding door completely to the bottom. It would have been helpful if the kitchen windows and thermostats had some instructions for use. Our heater stopped working one night. We did receive help with it the next day, but this information could have easily been provided in a welcome book or listed on the wall. Lastly, rearranging/changing the furniture in the living room (the very large hutch, love seat, seating chairs, and end tables) could greatly improve the look and feel of the living room. It does feel cramped, but we were expecting this from the photos. Maybe consider placing the TV up on the wall! With some clearer communication and a few small changes, this would have been a perfect stay. Even so, we would gladly return to this condo with great view. :)

Comfortable and cozy

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Family Tides. Everyone loved the easy access to the beach. Younger ones wanted to play on the beach whenever possible! Very accommodating to our dogs. (They loved the beach too). Well stocked with essentials. Sleeping arrangements were perfect as the kiddos loved the loft.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

No need to step away from the cabin to enjoy being at the Oregon coast, the view from the living room is great for all seasons. The house is warm and cozy with the option of the wood stove on a gloomy day, yet the large deck and fire pit are great for hanging out during drier times. With a gated entrance the beach access feels like a private beach.
