Former Carriage house built in 1900 is well maintained & updated. Spacious, bright and sunny four seasons room. Large Living rm & Kitchen. Large deck & hot tub overlooking the woods. Large front porch perfect for enjoying summer's warm breezes. A large fireplace for those chilly days/evenings to snuggle with your loved one. A short walk to downtown. Sleeps 12. Pet friendly ($25 per night per pet). Fire pit for evening campfires and s'mores. Perfectly situated for day trips to neighboring towns of Fennville, Grand Haven, South Haven, Holland, Douglas and Zeeland. Across the street is the Southerner Restaurant. Take a stroll around the block and visit the Nature Preserve. Close to Lake Michigan's Douglas Beach and Oval Beach and more. We can also accommodate large family gatherings for the holiday and warm evenings in front of our beautiful fireplace.

Owner - Jean was great to work with. Super quick and thorough responsive to inquiries. Her efforts helped us make this selections. Stay met all our expectations. Home is as per all the photos and has a lot Historic charm but with many modern updates. The 4-seasons room w/breakfast area and bunkbeds was a hit for my younger children with lots of space to play, sleep, etc. Lots of sleeping surfaces for mid-larger sized families. Firm beds in each bedroom/sleeping area. So many bath towels and washcloths available, amazing. Although our stay was a mid-winter event, we can tell that a summer time visit would be super great with easy access to downtown, and a decent sized back-yard and deck for outdoor fun.Great little area/community. The Southern restaurant across the street has amazing fried chicken and other meals. The Saugatuck downtown area was cozy and lots of nice little shops/art gallery areas if that's of interest for you. Home is close to the larger Holland and Grand Rapids areas for bigger activities/shopping. Amazing snow sledding hill in Holland - @ Van Raalte Farm Park. Is well lite at night for evening snow sledding fun.

We were a group of 10 women enjoying a girls weekend in Saugatuck, MI—our first time visiting, and celebrating two milestone 50th birthdays! The home was absolutely fabulous: spacious, stylish, and perfect for a group getaway. Even better was the location—just a short walk to the heart of town with its charming shops, great restaurants, and vibrant atmosphere.The hosts were wonderful—very communicative and easy to reach, which made everything smooth and stress-free. This rental was the ideal setting for a memorable celebration and a perfect introduction to Saugatuck. Highly recommend!

Jean was so accommodating, friendly, and quick to respond to messages. The property is just as pictured and we had a great time on our quick getaway. It is on the main road so I wasn't fully prepared for that as we hadn't been to the area before, but the location was perfect for a 10 minute walk to downtown - ideal because downtown parking is a challenge!

Comfortable house with lots of room for our extended family. We were even able to bring our dogs (note -yard is not fenced) Close to downtown Saugatuck but feels away from the bustle. Host was friendly and welcoming.

Family Wedding

What a perfect place to spend with family for wedding celebrations. The location was ideal - just a short walk to shops and restaurants - and across the street from some of the best fried chicken we've ever had! Jean was an amazing host - very quick and attentive and kind with responses. The home is very open, comfortable, clean and roomy. The outdoor area/patio was the ideal size for family gatherings/BBQs/campfire/etc. - exactly as the pictures portrayed. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

Most Memorable Christmas

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! What a beautiful and cozy home with all the things we needed! We played games, watched movies, sat by the fire, enjoyed the hot tub, and had a yummy dinner right across the street! We traveled into town to shop and even to the neighboring town of Holland. Such a lovely place to visit! Thankful we found this gem!

NYE Getaway

The house was great, the host was super helpful in communicating info and giving us suggestions on things to do. The hot tub was awesome to enjoy and the fire pit was super spacious for our group. The kids loved roasting marshmallows. We had a group of 12, including an infant, small kids and adults. Everyone had a blast.

Family Vacation

This carriage house is so beautiful inside and outside. We had so much fun. Went to the beach, listen to a concert in the park went on the Donut Boat. Hiked a little which was close to the house. Had dinner at The Southerner-just across the street from the house. Best fried chicken and tasty biscuits.

Great place for a large group!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The upstairs was perfect for the three adult couples and the kids stayed downstairs. Very comfortable. The outdoor area was perfect for our group. Great location shortish walk to downtown. Would stay again for sure!

Wonderful experience!

Beautiful property, convenient location, host was great at communicating & lots of special treats - coffee, S’mores, plenty of linens & beds for our group of 9. Could not have had a better time! Thought we’d rent bikes, but everywhere was a 10 minute walk or less (except the beach, but that was a 10 minute easy drive). Cannot recommend highly enough.

Girls week

This was our third year in this wonderful house and it was another perfect vacation. This house has so many options for sleeping and being together; it is located within walking distance to Saugatuck (our favorite place in Michigan!) and Lake Michigan so there is no shortage of things to do. This house is perfect for families and friends and the owners just couldn't be more welcoming and helpful; they have been lovely to deal with. Anyone who stays will be happy here and leave with the most amazing memories. Don't hesitate!

Carriage House was wonderful!

We had our entire family stay at the carriage house, and we had more than enough beds and rooms to accommodate everyone. We loved the backyard with the hot tub and the fire pit. It was also big enough for my kids to throw the football around! The front porch was a wonderful spot to drink our morning coffee! We walked into town at least once a day/night, and it was a very easy walk! The location was perfect to downtown, Oval Beach, the golf courses nearby, the mini golf course, and Saugatuck Dune Rides!

Family vacation

Stay June 4-11, 2023

All was well. Jeanne was very good with communicating. I believe they were full and single bed. A little too small for two people. Me and my husband slept separate. If you have a bad back, you may want to bring something firm for your bed. Overall it was fine for just my family.

Girls Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed and more which was so nice! Property owners very easy to work and professional. The house was adorable with great location to downtown Saugatuck. Would definitely encourage others to rent and would love to come back.

Tip-toe thru the tulips

The property was perfect for our annual girls trip of 10! lots of space, beds, and the outdoor space was the best. we built fires 2/3 nights and enjoyed the deck. we were there for the tulip show in Holland, and it was a quick drive. One of our best trips ever!

My husband and I stayed in Saugatuk every Labor Day weekend at the Rosemont Inn in Douglas, Michigan and fell in love with the area. I finally talked him into buying a property since we visited so often. We just fell in love with the peacefulness and relaxation when we would pull up to our new home. Since we cannot always stay at our home away from home, we decided we wanted to share it with you. Please come and visit Saugatuk and see what we mean.

We provide an open concept for family gatherings inside for all seasons. Pet friendly with a large backyard for your dog to freely romp around and explore. Room enough for family games of Cornhole and an evening campfire for new memories to take home with you. Downtown Saugatuk is within a few minutes of walking distance. The best Southern Restaurant is right across the street.
